FACTNet has receives many spam e-mails from porn sites. Every day. All day
long. The most received in a day? More than 100.
Many people on a.r.s. are complaining about similar spams.
We know that one can submit another person's e-mail address to porn sites.
Duh!
We know that once someone is on a porn spam list it is impossible to get
off. Because these spams are not sent from any source that can be busted.
They are sent from temporary e-mail accounts all over the world. The effect
on the recipient is mostly harrassment and minor annoyance.
We know that the most effective way to stop getting the spam directly is to
create a Yahoo (or similar) account for sole purpose of posting to a.r.s. so
that one can use their "bulk mail" utility to divert spam.
BUT: we also know that there are police and child protection units whose
sole purpose is to track paedophiles on the net. We also know that fake
kiddie-porn sites have been created to specifically trap pedophiles.
SO: if someone puts you on a porn spam list it is more than likely that you
will receive spam from people trying to entice you to a "lolita" site.
If you are tempted to even "take a peek" you might find yourself in heaps of
trouble.
And the cult will have some serious ammo against you.
