A Friend of mine whom I have known 5 yrs has been. displaying the weirdest symptoms. When we met in a business matter he seemed very "in Control* for most of the time when we were around other people wether it be a social even or a buisiness matter, he seemed in control. When I decided to move in as a roomate to be closer to work, he is 50 ish by the way. I myself and my girlfriend began noticing strange things, for one he says things in his sleep like kill so and so..or shoothim!! its always about the same person. whom is an ex political figure he obviously never voted for. He talks of sexual things, for instance...things like a gay man would experience if you get my drift! he has a girlfriend he adores. He is a very shallow person too.. but it gets better..he has begun talking in his mid-sleep mode too lie when he's just gotten up and goes into the bathroom ..he shouts out the same things..and at the same phrase says I love you baby..or I love you darling..he also can be at the computer playing a game and all of a sudden he will shout out those same phrases..like i love you baby doll...or kill ____!! so and so..its getting scarry! should I move out? can I help him somehow? I did mention this all to him at one time ..and he asured me he had no recollection of it. Does someone know someone like this? is there a cause for this? he's not an overworked person. he has money and stays home most times when he's not out having a beer or hanging out with his friends or on a business trip. .. most times when he's gone no one knows where hes gone..but he is also displaying pathological lieing behavior. I Have called him sevral times and he would say he was home...but he had not been home he would act like he'd been sleeping the whole time and did not hear the phone..and I had been to the apt and he had not been there for hours. Is this man for real? or does he need help? should I move back home? | ||

there is a condition called tourette syndrome which includes abusive cursing and such and facial ticks. sounds like he might have something like that. it is a condition that can be comtrolled with medication and behavioral treatment. good luck | ||

Has or is your friend using drugs or a heavy alcohol user ? Perhaps he is having a reaction to some situation in his life that he does not want to look at and subconciously has blocked. Suggest he see a doctor over the blackouts. If it progresses to fits of rage and he refuses to discuss it or seek medical attention, I'd move out and show him support from a independent location. Has your friend attended any introduction or started attending meetings to any "cultish" groups listed on this site ? | ||

I think you might be on to something with the telltale heart thing. You should probably wall him up in a wine cellar like the guy did in " A Cask of Amontillado" , one of my favorite Poe stories. If you don't know how to lay bricks, maybe try the Phil Collins thing. If that doesn't work, take a few bong rips with him, he'll talk for sure. I wouldn't be too concerned though, I'm sure lots of people live with bi-polar bi-sexual assassins. | ||
