Here's a brief description of my current situation. In 2001 my son decided to go to school in Canada.After 2 years he dropped out of college and began hopping trains traveling throughtout Canada and the U.S. Before his departure from school he had begun to educate himself via the internet had also begun to read the writings of Amitakh Stanford and her xeeatwelve.com website (which talks of alien domination and all kinds of weird stuff. He distanced himself from the family and friends for the past 5 years. In fact I had not heard from him since 2003. During those years I did not hear from him. This Christmas (2007) he showed up at. He had gotten deported from Canada and was now looking to renew his drivers license (for id purposes). He had given it up and not renewed it when it expired in 2003. At that time he wanted no forms of id on him (license, passport, social security card etc). Since he did not have a criminal record he was not detained in Canada or by U.S. authorities. However, he does not work. Is not thinking of work and says meditation is his work. He also follows the beliefs of Shri Neem Karoli Baba or Shri Neeb Karori Baba and is now looking to go to Florida to a swami camp as soon as he can get id and money. I am not sure if he is actually in a specific cult or has been brainwashed and following bits and pieces of various cults. I do not that he is not himself as he speaks little and likes to be in the dark. This is totally opposite of his past personality. I have searched the internet on various intervention groups and am afraid that there many kooks out there. I really want my son back and know it is not a quick process. During this years I am not sure what he has been involved in but I do know he is not the same person I knew. My husband, my daughter and I are being very cautious on what we say as we don't want to push him away. I did not mention to him at all that I think he has been brainwashed. I am just looking for a way to get him help. Any information anyone can provide would be truly appreciated. |
