My best friend went to the border while she was in Arizona. There was a huge fence stretching across the border between the states and Mexico with concentration wire over the top and you could see on the other side of the border all the poverty stricken housing structures standing. Yet on the United States side there was long massive mall-like merchants structures selling verything you can immagine, dirt cheap. People were crossing the border back and forth with suit cases loaded with everything. They walked back and forth across the border dragging (some as many as they could handle) suit cases; Her brother took a picture of something, but what ever he was taking a picture of was obviously allowed without interruption. When she decided to take a picture, it was of the people with suit cases going back and forth across the border. Just about the time she readied her camera to take a picture she got hit in the face with this strobe light that was made in the form of a gun. Something similar to a radar gun. The officer in this tower aimed this directly in her face and in the camera lense and he screamed out to her. "This is 'Homeland Security" and you are illegally taking pictures of a secured area!" Put your camera away or you will be arrested. She was so shocked that homeland security was preventing her from taking pictures of what was occurring there and the immediate responce with this strobe gun was exact and performed with instance preparedness. She could not believe they were trained and prepared to keep visitors from taking pictures of what is occurring on the borders. | ||

A spokeswoman for the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) says she immediately cancelled her credit card with Bank of America once she learned the financial giant is now offering credit cards to customers without Social Security cards – that is, typically, to illegal aliens. The Wall Street Journal says Bank of America’s decision to offer credit cards to illegal immigrants is the latest sign of the U.S. banking industry's aggressive pursuit of the Hispanic market. But FAIR's Susan Tully feels the move is the latest example of that industry's pandering to Hispanics and says it is “right up there” with offering home loans to illegal aliens. “Why would you grant credit to someone who could be deported tomorrow, someone who you know has committed a crime in order to be here?” Tully asks. “This isn't any different than Bank of America finding out ways that they could help drug dealers launder money,” she says. “When I saw this announcement,” the immigration reform advocate recalls, “right along with the rest of America, I did what I could do, which was immediately call and cancel my credit card account that I've had with Bank of America for more than five years.” When she did so, the bank customer service representative asked why, she notes. “I told her, and she was very upset,” Tully says. “So it was clear to me that they were being inundated, as we spoke, with other people doing with the same thing.” In fact, the FAIR spokeswoman adds, she has personally heard from plenty of other outraged citizens who had the same reaction to the news. "I've received e-mails, phone calls from family and friends around the country -- people I haven't talked to, honestly, in months -- who have called me in the last 24 hours, all on their own, saying that they have called and they have cancelled their accounts with Bank of America,” she says. Tully says it is completely irresponsible for Bank of America to start offering credit cards to illegal aliens and other customers without Social Security numbers. After this, she says Americans need to decide if they want to continue to do business with that financial institution, which she believes has already begun to experience a huge backlash from its decision. | ||

They always down play it in the media. Supposedly so we don't panic and over react. Now Bush is bringing in 7000 iraqi refugees...... This sounds like terrorism to me, but I'm just an ordinary citizen, not on any anti-terrorism unit. Of course, most of us will only read about individual incidents. Terrorism in America? As author Jerome Corsi describes this Fox-Bush autobahn, container ships from China would unload at Lazaro Cardenas, a port named for the Mexican president who nationalized all U.S. oil companies in 1938. From there, trucks with Mexican drivers would run fast lines into the United States, hauling their cargo to a U.S. customs inspection terminal -- in Kansas City, Mo. From there, the trucks would fan out across America or roll on into Canada. Similar super-highways from Mexico through the United States into Canada are planned. According to Corsi, construction of the Trans-Texas Corridor, the first leg of the NAFTA Super Highway, is to begin next year. The beneficiaries of this NAFTA Super Highway project would be the contractors who build it and the importers and outlet stores for the Chinese-manufactured goods that would come flooding in. The losers would be U.S. longshoremen, truckers, manufacturers and taxpayers.
