i am writing my comment on the situation in nigeria. i am not shocked to know that nigeria globally is ranked among the first three most corrupt countries of the earth. even if i do not believe in the international community ranking, i lived long enough in nigeria to observe how corruption has eaten deep into the system of our country to such an extent that no public infrastructure works well in nigeria or is it the police publicly collecting bribes from road users and shooting those that refuse them thier 20 naira gratification, no wonder the international community treats our passport and our people with so much disdain and disrespect. for instance holding a public office in nigeria is synonymous to being an overnight millionear. poor people get transformed into millionears overnight because of the money worshipping and corruption evident in every facet of our national life. most of us living abroad as second class citizens of other peoples' countries are doing so because our country has shamelessly failed us! how come nigeria is unable to provide basic amenities like roads, water, good health care system and so on for its citizens despite all the budgets made every year? nigeria is a country when nothing works. no new infrastructures are provided for the people nor the old ones maintained. the ones that resemble new that are seldom provided are scrapply done in such a manner that it does not last as 70% of the cost of providing it has gone into private pockets! yet you find all these things provided in the public officers' mansions and those of their cohorts and immediate family members! whether obasanjo is running after his political opponents or not and using the EFCC to intimidate them is no issue here. if they were clean in the first place, there would be nothing to witchhunt them for.and they should fear nothing if they have no skeleton in their cupboard. or have you forgotten the adage, ' there is no smoke without a fire'. so for EFCC to run after them means there is a trace of evidence that they have definitely corruptly enriched themselves one way or the other. leave obasanjo and EFCC alone. let them at least start somewhere. 'half loaf is better than nothing' they say. when someone else's that has the love of the people at heart and the fear of God comes into office, he/she too would expose some more including obasanjo and ribadu if they are found wanting. before we know it, all the corrupt individuals have exposed themselves i.e. dog eat dog! | ||

Our organization CrimeBustersNow has been investigating some of the corruption as it pertains to scams in Nigeria. Just the very tip of what appears to be a giant iceberg of corruption right into the highest levels of government. It appears to be one huge "old boy's club" with many on the take and the masses, trembling in fear or totally paralyzed unwilling or unable to take action save a very few with the courage to at least speak out. The Canadian Government is showing signs of heading down the same road with corruption openly engaged in by politicians and police with family members and friends able to influence legal decisions and sway those with the power to stop corruption and the mainline media doing its best to ignore the situation providing a "rosier picture" of Canada than the reality, unwilling to expose the real truth of the level of corruption in the police, government, respected organizations and even the court system. Retired police and government officials as well as active police and government officials have incredible knowledge of "how the system works" and ways of manipulating it. Government and police decisions are swayed by organized crime and money laundering criminals. The huge problem is that retired officials with their knowledge and influence are capable of devoting their full time to these scams and organized criminal activity as in Nigeria, the same scenario is indicative at the higher levels of our government and the myriad "old boy's clubs". The mess in Nigeria is the “handwriting on the wall” for the citizens of Canada: and Nigeria is a corrupt mess. Australia and China appear to be taking the lead. An email CrimeBustersNow sent out today with repect to infomation received. Those in law enforcement who's steadfast refusal to enforce the law, and those in these organizations and the Mps, Mpps, and local politicians who refuse to pressure law enforcement, and the power of the money laundering criminals with their wealthy and powerful lawyers and corrupt accountants able to promote these scams, influence police and politicians and stave off prosecution are those responsible for the promotion and proliferation of these money laundering frauds in Canada and the billions of losses of ordinary citizens not only here, but as these Canadian created scams are carried around the world. But unlike China where the story below shows a student "rescued by the police earlier this year" in Canada the "Whistle Blowers" attempting to expose these frauds are harassed, assaulted persecuted and prosecuted on trumped up charges spouted by criminals and police and further lies trumped up as "evidence" by prosecutors to obtain convictions in a conspiracy to protect the money laundering schemes and the criminals behind them: even a mother in Oakville Ontario attempting to protect her daughter, her daughter's friend, and other innocent students she realized would be "recruited."
