Has anyone ever had dealings with this lovely cult? I'm watching my sister and her husband sink into an emotional and financial pit because of Landmark Education. All of their free time is devoted to working (for FREE) for this cult. And the last time I was at their house I noticed bottles of anti-depressants for the both of them. I blame Landmark for this, they feed you a line of gobbely-gook and you fall for it hook, line and sinker. They are so far into debt they'll never get out. Now I'm worried that they are trying to bilk my elderly parents out of their money. They are trying to force them out of their home so that my sister can move in and take over. This is a 1/2 a million dollar home in a resort town. And what can I do to stop my sister? All I can do is watch over my parents and hope they don't fall for my sister's crap.

Yes we went to an introductory thing of thiers(we have many friends who have fallen for this crap.)They made us sit with the big group first and then separated me and husband. Sort of a divide and conquer type thing. They tried to get information out of both of us to use against the other. Trying to get us to say that we had problems they could work on. Then we tried to leave they confronted us and tried to stop us. They wanted us to sign up for classes. They definately suck people in! It is for the lost who need to find thier way in life. Also for the stuck people who cant "get off the fence"to go one way or the other. I also feel it gives people permission to make irresponsible risks financially and other wise. You will start hearing all kinds of landmark verbage that is very condescending and smug. Other than that we havnt been able to get any deeper than that. Its a little secretive.

Yeah, that's what it seems like, VERY secretive. When I ask my brother-in-law what exactly he's learning or getting from this, he can't answer me. All over their house are little Post-It notes with strange phrases on them. And lists and lists of people's names and phone numbers. I think my sister has to call these people to get whatever money they owe out of them.
My family (me, and my 3 girls ages at the time 14, 7 and 2)(my husband wouldn't come) were invited to a "cook-out" last summer to my sister's house, and some of her creepy Landmark friends were there. They separated my eldest daughter from me and my littler girls, and had her work on a collage. Seemes like they do alot of collages...for what purpose, I don't know. Anyway, they were trying to talk her into taking the teen course they offer, but I said no to them. I actually got into a fight with one of the creepy Landmark guys over it. Then I got into an argument with one of the creepy Landmark women over a medical condition my youngest daughter had. "(Her eye turned in, and we had to try and patch the good eye so the weak eye could get stronger. It's very hard keeping a patch on a 2 year old!) She smugly told me I wasn't doing the best job I could with the patch and therefore it was my fault my youngest was going to have to have an operation to fix the eye. What a freak! Well, when it was time to go home, I started gathering up the kids, but they kind of formed a wall around my eldest daughter and said, "She's not done with her collage, why don't you leave and we'll bring her home later." I of course said no, they insisted, and I actually had to raise my voice to get my child out of their clutches. They are a scary bunch, and I fear for my sister's well-being.
