I need some help. MY husband was destroyed by this cult. Now he is in jail for holding child pornography in his work desk and touching the gentials of his young nephews. I do not know where to turn. How can this organization get away with the destruction that they are causing decent families? I believe that my husband, a devout Christian, was brainwashed by NAMBLA. I understand that they use techniques such as North Korean brainwashing. Please can some one offer me some help?! I don't trust psychologists, as most of them are either extremely messed up or extremely perverted. |

I don't know if you are still looking for help on this board, but there is an organization called Exodus International that deal with sexual perversions from a Christian perspective. Look them up on the internet at askjeeves.com. I will say a prayer for you and your family. |

Exodus is also a cult though, and as a gay person I find their "teachings" highly offensive.
However NAMBLA must be stopped. But you don't get "brainwashed" by a paedophile organisation. Your husband probably was a paedophile in the first place and If I was you I would divorce him.
There are NO excuses for child abusers - NONE. |

The fact that your husband joined NAMBLA is enough to say that he was a sick minded person in the first place. Normal people don't become paedophiles.
I am sorry that I am wording this so strongly but I find paedophilia completely disgusting and I think those people deserve everything they get. Normal people do not suddenly decided to become paedos and they CANNOT be treated by religion.
Look at all those Pastors and Catholic Priests that have been caught messing with kids, for example. |

It's ashame that you percieve your husband as being 'destroyed by a cult'when he has had the power to control his mind all along. His downfall is that he chose to play a victim in a situation that found him an excuse to support his obviously ill habbit. I agree that, like homosexuality & heterosexuality paedophilia is something you either are or not! I believe it is a condition rather than of choice and is often overlooked. In saying this i also believe his habbit could've been prevented - no child 'of god' should have to suffer because of a mis-understanding of a condition that points the finger away from the direction it should be pointing!!! I don't practise psychology nor am i extremely messed up or extremely perverted but you'd be surprised how close to home 'paedophilia' is. If you are having trouble trying to figure out all your chaos perhaps you should start with yourself instead of trying to make sense of it all and blaming everything and everyone else.
Ask for help in places you usually wouldn't instead of being so bias and if it doesn't work move on to the next til you seek the help you're comfortable with.

Your husband is a sick fuck, nobody 'brainwashed' him. Garbage groups like NAMBLA just enable sick twists, tell them that their sickness is okay. NAMBLA needs to be shut down - sex with children is NEVER okay.
Your hubby needs some heavy psychotherapy to get his pedophelia worked out. Men who want to have sex with children have severe emotional issues that cause them to act out on those weaker than themselves. It's a head thing, not a gonads thing.
You should get some counseling as well, to help you work out your grief and anger and guilt. You're thrashing around right now, and that's not good. The fact that your husband is sick doesn't mean you have to get all freaked out. Go to a local women's health center and ask for a good referral - you are not the first wife to find out her hubby has a big sexual problem, they know how to help you. |

paedophiles CANNOT say a little prayer do a little dance and zippo zango all is well. I had a born again pasteur try to abuse his therapy priviledges to come onto me while he was married-and supposed to be helping me with grief issues.I slapped him and learned not to trust anyone who knows a few keywords like "saved". Most people that claim to be "saved" probably aren't.
Pray for Jesus to work in YOUR life...my guess is that he will leave the paedo in prison and help you be strong in ways you cannot yet see. |

"Pedophile" is not strong enough a word to describe the husband of Anonymous. A pedophile is someone who has an unhealthy interest in children. Your husband is a "pederast" because he acted on those impulses. Instead of removing the cross off county seals and removing the ten commandments from courthouses, lets use that same zeal and determination where it belongs, and wipe NAMBLA and its members off the face of the planet, never to return. |

The Catholic church seems to be a pedophile factory. This is probably because celebacy is not natural. "Weak" is not the word for a child rapist, weak is the word for their victims.
Don't try to sell "there's pedophiles everywhere" the church systematically hides these guys from prosecution, often shipping them off to foreign countries to avoid punishment here in the U.S.
The pope should lay off on chastising people about contraception and do something about these pedophiles, and endorse contraception in Africa where millions are dying from AIDS. Save their lives first, then save their souls. Ya dig? |

The catholic churce, noted for its power, its missionary work and its hiding of wayward criminal priests, should take the power of all its followers and its leaders, combine it into one gigantic energetic force for change in our world and do some good for the millions of people dying from AIDS. Get over the contraception thing, stop fostering the abuse of children and help stop AIDS. I'm not in NAMBLA dummy, I like chicks. Mature ones too, not kids.
When the Boston Archdioses is bankrupted by lawsuits, I think it's more than a few bad apples.
The Catholic Church is not the victim here, those kids are. Try to keep that straight in your head, these guys rape children.
I think what is hard to admit is that it is the church's policies that create these pedophiles. Young 12-14 year old boys are recruited into the preisthood and grow up never knowing how to be intimate or deal with their sexuality.
This, in part leads to the plague of child rapists we see today. I think the celibacy thing is long overdue for a re-think. |

Psychologists are either messed up or perverted?!? These people go to school to learn how peoples minds work! They would probably be the BEST people for you to see since they are trained! They can't talk about what you say and only offer advice, they can't make you do anything! And every religeon has a few nuts and scandals! No one religeon is worse than any other just because a few people screwed up. |
