People in the legitimate anti-cult movement should be aware that vicious anti-religious hatred is being legitimized under the cover of so-called anti-cult activity. If you think I exaggerate, please log on to the news net group talk.religion.course-miracle and read the posts of one Katie Dean, aka "Noggin," who runs an "anti-cult" group and has an "anti-cult" website at http://www.cosmicfool.com/ As Google achieves will show. for years Katie Dean has viciously insulted Course students, consistently defamed A Course in Miracles while trashing belief in God and the Holy Spirit, all under the guise of anti-cult activism. This is especially troubleome because Dean uses Factnet as source and jutification that Course study is a cult, and consequently dishonestly involves Factnet in her blatant religous bigotry. If one listens to Dean, its not hard to come to the conclusion, Factnet supports her disreputable anti-Course activism. Certainly, Katie Dean is our problem on TRCM. Its your problem if you are in the legitimate anti-cult movement and you allow people such as Dean to use the anti-cult movement as a vehicle of religious hatred and bigotry. Please post any information on Katie Dean and if other complaints have been made about Dean and Cosmic Fools' "anti-cult methods." A cursory investigation and post on our newgroup denouncing religious bigotry under the guise of anti-cult activism would be appreciated. If this is not possible, a simple post on this newsgroup denouncing religious bigotry and hatred under the cover anti-course activism would be helpful in resolving this long running harrasment by Dean and her "anti-cult" activists. Thanks, John Lopez |

I hope I will not offend anyone here if I remark that the same fundamental lack of basic rationality which apparently let her become involved with Lazaris in the first place seems to be just as evident now. It's merely a case of one form of distorted thinking replacing another. One thing I am curious about is how ex cult members deal with the blow to the ego resulting from the realization that one has been duped. Katie deals with it irrationally, and thereby makes me think she became a cult member as a consequence of a fundamental failure of reason. How often is this the case? I don't agree with the assertion that anyone is a potential cult member, but I also don't think a simple failure of ability at reality testing is always to blame. But sometimes I think it will be. |

" What a valid point John, It is very clear that Katie Dean, has no legitimate claim on being an anti-cult activist. After reading the factnet.org website I am of the opinion that this is a valid source of information for those who are or have been involved in cults. The attempt by Katie to use factnet.org to try and legitimize her vehicle for Religious bigotry and hatred is a very misleading association. It is obvious that Katie has had no real formal training in anti-cult activity (Beyond browsing the internet) or even the ability to disseminate what she has read by her obvious inability to truly identify cult activity and what to constructively do if she does. I also seriously doubt if Katie has ever undergone any kind of real therapy concerning her own over emotionally involvement with Lazaris, past or present, which is evident in her extreme desire to blame, not educate others about her own past decisions. Her lack of education as an anti cult activist and her obvious inability to undergo her own healing process short of blaming others coupled with her continued attempt to legitimize her anti-religious hate campaign through associating it with groups such as factnet.org can only result in hindering these legitimate groups to help others, by her obvious misrepresentation. Hi John, These folks at factnet.org should probably be informed of Katie Dean Vollmer's full name and handle (Noggin), if they are going to be directed to a search of Google archives for Katie's hate campaign, and add her and CosmicFool to their watch list, accurately. This is a short url listing Katie's _350_ banner posts with our list member Nancy's first and last names in the subject line. Factnet members will easily recognize the unconscionable and obsessive harassment that these posts represent. http://harassment.notlong.com This is a short url listing Katie's 6,530 posts to this list. http://6530postslater.notlong.com/ Here's one that speaks of getting up close and personal, with me http://overthetop.notlong.com ~ Lee Posted for Lee Flynn by John Lopez |
