It's a very simple test -- Historical Orthodox Christianity has been and is today, monotheistic. Mormonism is polytheistic. Therefore, it would be impossible for Mormonism to be Christian. The only thing "Christian" about Mormonism is that it's a Christian cult.

From: B.H. Roberts The Mormon Doctrine of Deity -- The Roberts-Van Der Donckt Discussion

First, we believe that God is a being with a body in form like man's; that he possesses body, parts, and passions; that in a word, God is an exalted, perfected man.

Second, we believe in a plurality of Gods.

Third, we believe that somewhere an some time in the ages to come, through development, through enlargement, through purification until perfection is attained, man at last may become like God---a God. pg. 11

Is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Christian? No way. Evidence above is just a tiny part of many such proofs from this book and other Mormon doctrine.

If your search is for Jesus Christ, you won't find Him in Mormonism. They worship many gods, false gods, and this is strictly prohibited by God in the Bible. This is ANTI-CHRISTIAN DOCTRINE at it's most insidious!

2Ti 4:1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
2Ti 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
2Ti 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
2Ti 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
2Ti 4:5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

In Christ alone I place my trust..

I've been looking over the internet for other cult sites. There are some good ones but this new one I have to recommend. It not only has a discussion page but has combined articles of great interest, check out http://www.cultbusters.com.au. It looks like a new site with lots of room for continuing discussions. cjv, you are doing a wonderful job here. God bless you. The following statement is somewhat tongue-in-cheek but think some will appreciate it:
Behind every man stands a woman;

telling him when he's wrong!

Well, tell your bride that when I had babies, my husband was deployed or some other convenient type of thing (like getting shot at in Somolia...)-- so the schedule was all mine! LOL!

He did do one thing though -- when he was home, he was very good about cleaning up the kids throw-up. Yech. That was one thing I just could NOT do. Spit up -- OK -- but when they ate real food and if they had a stomach upset -- HONEY, I NEED YOU!!!!!!
