Unfortunately Lewis seems to have built up a reservoir of ill will over decades of doing his master's bidding. I believe FACTNet will have more credibility faster than he will without a public repentance. Anyone who posts here with their real names will always have a few who hate their guts, for whatever reason. Sad but true. I'm feeling rather foolish right now, and would love to point out that CHS has said somethings about him that are far worse. Measuring and comparing is foolish, but as Dave says, he's built up much ill will over the years. Many are on the exit ramp and need encouragement to get out. I notice many that are reading and screwing up the courage to post, like to make mention of the fact that FN gets really profane and mocking at times. They can't seem to get over the language, and they refuse to continue to read, thus, making true the insults they hear from GG people. FN is not demonic as they say. The revival and God's moving strongly that they say is true of GG in Balt is simply not true! The moving of God is right hear on FN. (and behind the scenes, as a result of FN) Little did I know when I started posting here (from the beginning),that FN would accomplish so much in bringing light to the places where guilt, shame,confusion and the big one, fear is the motivating factor that keeps people stuck. Stuck inside GG or stuck on the ramp, or if they ran right out, now, in their private lives, they still find themselves subject to tactics used to control them. I didn't know, in the beginning if this was from God or not. I didn't know if my participation on FN was a calling or not! Or, a ministry if that defines it better. I did know, that this was the time to bring it all to the light. I think, there's still time for those stuck, to get a strong dose of reality. Out of the bubbleworld and into the real world. I also think that believers that live in the real world are unique, not the herds that want to give up all responsibility, stop thinking and feeling. , letting others make decisons for them, thus robbing them of a good and full life. | ||

Not all of us are seeking reconciliation. Certainly those who caused the damage to many of the people on Factnet have not. When people can see these hypocrites for who they are, it will be easier for them to get out. We're not afraid of "touching God's annointed" any more. And none of us have cancer. After all that these guys have done to hurt people in the name of God, I think they are getting off pretty easy with just a couple of "insults." It is funny to see the knee jerk reactions on Factnet when you touch someone's sacred cow (not just you Graz) Leaving GG is one thing, undoing years of indoctrination is another. Some have left and taken a stand for the truth. Others have become aware of things they knew nothing about and just walked out the door. Other's have left because it is now convenient. Yeah, we need to help them get to where they can see again. And, we need patience while the nasty poisonous stuff gets out. They have grown, over the years to readily accept whatever their pastor/teacher, spiritual father says about anything and anybody. It's okay for their leaders to deal in smut, gossip, maligning, etc etc. My hope and prayer is that, speaking the truth will shed the much needed light, along with humor and chitchat, that will result in many overcoming their confusion and get unstuck. Some loyalists have built a very strong bubbleworld for themselves, never realizing that the longer they stay and spout the aberrant, cultic ways of GG, that they will be held accountable for it. Even if they 'know' all the stuff, their reasoning is faulty, in that, they can't hide forever. We need to continue to bring light......evidently, God has chosen us to do it. I will never forget the day I was called into DL's office for stating publically what was wrong with the whole "beama" teaching, especially (some of you will remember this) that Jesus would introduce some to the heavenlies as "winners" and others as "losers!" I told DL that I could accept Jesus calling some "winners," even though there are no scriptures to support it. "But Dr. Lewis, not only is Jesus' pronouncing a blood bought believer a loser not supported by scripture, it is a slap in the face of Christ!" DL's reponse? "Well P. Wells, Pastor has been doing this for over forty years! Don't you think he knows more than we do?" If he could have heard himself there should have been red lights flashing and a voice saying "Warning! Warning!" There certainly was in mine. J graz...I agree with your comment about civility and maturity on this board. I have observed for a few months and I cringe sometimes at what supposedly a community of Christians are saying about one another, however taking into account the pain and confusion in regards to the past of GGWO history, people's words start to make sense. This board is the only way for some people to really vent how they feel, right or wrong. Many people following this saga I'm sure are thrilled with your stand in this latest chapter, but sir pinch yourself if you think the leadership and their devoted followers in Baltimore cares about what is said on this board. As for Lewis, my opinion of him is based on two incidents. The first is described here: http://www.factnet.org/factnetcgi/discus/show.cgi?tpc=3&post=103024#POST103024 The second happened a few years after we left. I read an article in the newsletter of the Final Frontiers Foundation, an organization which I believe is doing a great job supporting indigenous missionaries (including a few from GGWO), which described the terrible persecution of Louis Demeo in France. I e-mailed Mr. Nelms, the director, and had the temerity to say that it was very possible the problems in France were a result of GGWOs blasphemous alliance with the Church of Scientology. The Lisa McPherson story was big news down here at the time (Pinellas County is Home Base for Scientology) and I was not happy that a "Bible-believing" church would make ANY deals with them, much less unite to silence critics. Also mentioned the possibility that GGWO might be a cult as well. That was the first and only time I said anything about GGWO to anyone before starting on FACTNet last summer. Never heard from Nelms, but lickety-split Lewis sent John Cirlingione down to get me to repent for "slandering" a godly man. I had said nothing about Demeo except what a shame his fruitful work was hindered by the alliance. Somewhere in the conversation it came out that Lewis had represented me to Nelms as a disaffected missionary who was mad because he didn't get any money. Well, I didn't repent because I hadn't said anything that wasn't true. Would his repenting to me mean anything? Not really. I don't have the strong feelings that some do here. It might be useful if he told Mr. Nelms the truth about GGWO, though. Mr. Twister - don't know who you are, but agree with your 10:17 post. I'm no prude but many times have cringed when comments go beyond my comfort zone (as others most likely have cringed at my posts from time-to-time). However, I'm a big girl and can just move beyond those posts. If they are aimed at me, I can challenge them and even if they are not, I can voice my opinion... but it isn't my place to try to parent anyone else. Sometimes people are out of line (in my opinion) but, my God, we are all just people... why do we expect perfection? (oh yes...that perfection would only be by our particular definition anyway!!) We are all at different stages... have had different hurts and experiences and have different comfort levels, different moral values, different opinions about appropriate behavior.... I am last one to advocate censoring anyone's voice on FN. I actually find Yogi funnier than the average bear. And I do not think Graz was trying to censor or pastor anyone on the forum. I think he is aware of how many are leaving the GG bubble world and coming to this forum is a huge step. What seems to us to be clever repartee and enjoying our freedom of speech will smack them in the face.. "oh my god! This is evvvilll!!" The "pulpit" was right..
