OK folks - it was just a comment - just asking a sister for help. I'm not that easily offended. Trust me - if you offend me, you will know it! Right lil_g? |

This is one hillbilly that you don't have to worry about knowing where you stand! So maybe I should go with "transparent?" |

Anyone want to comment on the Pastor and the other Pastor's wives. They all look and dress like bimbos with their blond hair and short sexy outfits. These women are in the 40's and 50's and still dress like they're in their 20's. They should dress more appropriately for their age group. They even laugh and talk like dumb bimbos instead of intelligent women. Linda laughs like a hyhenna and acts like a dumb bimbo. She needs to get back down to earth. ALso the pastors daughters need to get more modest. They act and dress imappropriately for church. |

I never acquired a taste for sweetpeas. Just mentioning this in passing. And I never received a star for eating all my lunch because of this when I was in kindergarten (when we had peas that is). Oh well. |

Can anyone recommend a good church for sweetpea? I'm not really familiar with the no make-up, hair in a bun, dress to your ankles crowd. |

I don't know about a church like that but on a more interesting note, there is a diaper in the trash can in the office I am working in today. Guess that goes along with the daycare theme. (Message edited by hillbilly on December 09, 2004) |

i think sweetpea needs more than i diaper change, and by the way sweetpea which daughter are you talking about? and im glad you were listening to cole stringer when he was at FHC. but seriously shouldnt you be old enough to not care what others are wearing...im with ecc73 on this one, women shouldnt have to wear long skirts. |

....see....I asked ecc73 about the current community outreach that he said they were currently focusing on. He said he didnt have all the specifics. I asked him if he would post the specifics when he found out. Thats what I'm now asking him. (has he found out) (do I have to keep reading all these posts for you?) (cause if I do, let me know, so I can plan ahead) |

nikita, There is not just one community outreach. Last I checked, there were over 100 home groups (Life Groups) that reach out to their neighborhoods through things like: Raising money/buying groceries for the needy Bringing meals to local fire stations Visiting people in nursing homes/hospitals Collecting/giving away school supplies in the fall Raising money for families of police/firemen who have been killed in the line of duty I'm probably missing a lot, but these kinds of things happen on a weekly basis and the gospel of Jesus Christ is shared at all of them. |

lil g, The SOP outreach schedule is somewhere in my car. I keep forgetting to bring it into the house so that I can email it to you. I promise I'll find it and email it to you this weekend. Actually, I'm kinda bored right now, so I'll get it now and send it from work. Back in a few. |

hillbilly, RE: "ee73 - Please describe the differences between you and lil'g?" Not sure what you're getting at...No, we are not the same person. RE: "and while I'm at the questions - what does "eec73" mean? Ecc. 7:3...reminds me that nothing is too bad for God to make good if we allow Him to touch it...and not as popular as Rom 8:28 |

lil_g .....so,...I do not have a poverty mentality. I also DO NOT,...believe, that we should live below God's standards. I dont, blame you for misunderstanding, I guess I have not communicated my thoughts properly. I do believe however, that a leader, a pastor, should tone things done, lifestyle-wise, so as not to cause others to stumble, as it says in the bible. I do believe, that if a person goes to the church asking for help,......even if they don't attend, that the church,........ and not just FHC,.. should help, believing..... that when they lend to the poor, God will repay.!! Robb, has taught this! I was there when he did! ..... God said he will repay, he has always repaid me. Gods word is true. ....and to hear some say, "well, the church can't just give to anyone that has their hand out, does not sit well with me. ...that is not the mentality of Jesus I know the thing about give someone a fish, verses teaching them to fish. ....well, with all of the finances of this church, and many others, they could give the fish, and, teach the person with their hand out, to fish. They can do both. BUT......either way, God said, he would repay!!! ...and its not just the thing about FHC not giving to the all the poor that come to them. There is much more. ...dont be offended because I pasted this from the other board. I just wanted you to read it....plus I added to it. |

The only other thing that would hold them all was a 12 passenger van. What people didn't understand was that he bought the stretch limo used for about $3,000! It had over 200,000 miles on it! The cheapest 12 passenger van he could find was about $10,000! That's why God should judge and not us! He don't always know everything. |

Arrogant behavior on the otherhand is not attractive and does not interest me the least bit. I and others know Thompsons auto's are bought brand new (not used with 200,000 miles on them like your example). He paid full retail upwards to over $100,000 for his cars. His turning in of leases early after only a few months has cost the church thousands in PENALTY fees. He has used the lure of expensive cars to manipulate employees, and speakers. "you shall know them by their fruit" $30,000 Rolex watches from the offering buckets. $30,000 worth of tracts, videos, school supplies, would have gone a long way to win souls and help people. Single mothers need cars, or maintenance on their car. Single parents need help with child care, clothes, and other things. Many need teaching tapes, books etc. Andrew Wommack gives his teachings away free. Thompson charges high prices to those that don't have it. Wommacks teachings on finances are light years more powerful and RESULTS bearing then all of thompson's lightweight teaching. There are reasonably priced cars, suits, watches, shoes, houses and others but then thompson gets his self-esteem from THINGS. Things of this world he lusts for. How many people could get saved from $100,000 auto costs or the millions thompson wastes on his no results tv program?????? |

My example doesn't necessarily have anything to do with Thompson, simply a response to lil g. I don't know what PRT drives or what he pays, I don't care either. A big thumbs up to Andrew Wommack. Goomby you should care what money is misused by so called ministers. You didn't pay for it so youdon;t feel you hace a stake in how the money is spent. But this bad stewardship lust virus can become contagious. Sousl die every day because money is not spent to reach them. Instead huge sums of money is spent on no results programs, Rolex's, cars, suits, shoes, airplanes and trips that yield no results. God cares about results. Jesus stated "that we should bear MUCH fruit" Instead you bear many THINGS of this world. In talking about money Jesus said in Mt 6 "We are seek first the Kingdom ..." and not to seek things. Just because you can pay for a Rolex, a $100,000 car, $300,000 car, $5,000 suits, doesn't mean its a wise choice or use of money. "Many things are lawful but these things do not all build up" A Mercedes is listed as having the highest depreciation driving out of the showroom floor. A BMW, Lexus, Hummer,Jaguar and others follow close thereafter. They are all GAS GUZZLING environmentally poor vehicles. Most people drive them for their status. Most are paid for by expensive loans with high payments driven by people who live paycheck to paycheck in large debt. They want to look wealthy but are in debt beyond their means. Most Millionaires are good stewards and drive ford trucks, and autos costing less than $30,000... and the least drive these overly expensive autos. Proven out by research and the books wriiten by Thomas Stanley and William Danko. Self made millionaires on average paid $360.00 or less for suits, $140 or less on shoes, never spent more than $235 for a watch, and the stores they shop in are Sears, JC Penneys etc. They became millionaires by budgeting and controlling expenses, and they maintain their affluent wealth and become financially independent the same way. If you are not wealthy and want to become wealthy someday, never purchase a home that requires a mortgage that is more than twice your total annual income. These are answers from millionaires. |

I downsized my lifestyle sold my house bought a better one for less money, sold some investments and lowered my liabilities so I could give more to the gospel. So sell your Rolex buy a good watch and give the rest to a high results good stewardship ministry . |

Yes Hill. My only thing is to make sure we're not just looking at the surface. Having expensive things doesn't make you evil any more than being in poverty makes you Holy; and visa versa. I believe Thompson is a Godly man, I don't know enough to say if he's a good or bad steward with his finances, but I don't believe he's evil. Bibleman says he knows about Thompson, and for his sake I hope he's right; for Robb Thompson's sake I hope he's wrong. |

Evil? Only God knows the heart. It seems pretty obvious to me that bibleman has some kind of personal vendetta against Thompson. I not sure why he feels the need to state the obvious over and over and over..... It's pretty obvious to anyone who has ever attended MCC/FHC that Thompson likes having expensive things. So what. Is it a sin to have expensive things? ... I can't find any scripture that supports that belief. (Of course, rampent spending could reveal an inablity to control one's flesh. But I think that is a personal matter.) If a person comes by what they have honestly, then they can do what they want with it. If they have come by what they have dishonestly, they are a thief and they will be judged as one by God. So, if Robb is free to spend his money any way he likes, then it would follow ... so am I. I am free to give (or not give) as I desire to give in my heart and as I am led by the Holy Spirit. If you don't like the way Robb handles the church's money .... don't give him your money. If you don't like what he teaches (because it doesn't line up with what is in the bible) .... find another church. Just my opinion. |

lil g Out of the abundance of the mouth, the heart speaks. (that is also Gods word) (bible). ...so no matter how you are communicating, you are still communicating from your heart. Saying that this forum,....... as a place to direct your com·mu·ni·qués, is in any way different than any other, is incorrect. ...so that said, you are being much to crass on this forum. You need to tone down your comments to people, when you post. Many of your words are very rude and hurtful, to people. just trying to help. I hope this is not percieved in any other way. |

lil_ g no...no...no.. you are doing much more than reacting, to someone going against your pastor. example ...hillbilly. Hillbilly did not go against your pastor. Yet... your comments directed to hillbilly, still needed to be toned down, and they could be percieved as crass, and even hurtful. ecc73 is that all you can say about the abundance of the heart comment I made?? "thanks for the re-run"??? .........you must know I'm right..thats why you don't say anything else |

...... I never said that I wanted..to do the kicking...when I made that comment. But if you want to believe that, then go ahead. I guess that gives you license not to respond to anything in an intelligent manner?? So fine whatever. You have made many mean spirited comments on this board. How, you can pick out something like that ....is beyond me. I guess we all have made some rude comments to some extent. But going forward,........if you agree with the abundance of the heart comment, please consider it when you post. thanks |

Stepford children follow Thompson out of fear. They can't make it on their own relationship with God because they cannot discern the word and good from evil. (Sounds like following the priest or some Jim Jones, David Koresh) Christians are to know Gods voice in their spirit and be led by the Spirit of God. Hebrews Chap 5 states it clearly "You should by now be teachers but are unable to digest the sincere meat of the word for you are babes only capable of digesting milk of the word, and you have need of someone teaching you again. The reason is this. You are unskillful in the word because you can only use milk. Strong meat belongs to those who have grown up and become mature in God's word. They become mature by using the word, becoming skillful in Gods word, and being doers not forgetful hearers of the word. Thus they have their senses EXERCISED and able to discern what is good and Gods will, and what is evil and not God's will." Thompson preaches milk, fear, works, performance, and old testament legalism. Sugar coated with a little itching ear topping. What a waste of precious time and money. It's easy to deceive those not skilled in the word and able to actually hear the Holy Spirit. "He will lead you into all TRUTH and show you things to come" |
