I was raised up Pentacostal. And I know that Pentacostals are good people, I'm calling myself a (Christian) right now. I have been going to college sometime currently working on a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. I know how costly college is in terms of dollars and the work involved. Are the Pentacostal Churches promoting pastoral education for its ministers and pastors? I know that education isn't everything but it does help us and others to understand things better, ultimately the Love of God and being saved is more important. May God Bless us all. I was a pentecostal for all my life.I was taught to speak in tongues. I did as everybody felt that speaking in tongues was the only measure of spirituality.However, I was a dead Christian inside. I lacked the power though I spoke in tongues. Many times, I used to make it up to impress everyone. I did not realize how wrong I was. Then, I got to read the book,"DISCIPLE" by Juan Carlos Ortiz, a a missionary from Argentina. This man did an excellent exposition on the difference between the gifts and the fruits of the spirit. Then, I became a Charismaniac when I followed the Faith teachers like Bob Tilton. I was deceived. Then, I became an evangelical Presbyterian. Today, I am a generic Christian who attends a Lutheran Church(Missouri).I never had such a wonderful relation with God when I was a Pentecostal. Today, I am a joyful Christian. Yes, Joy is a mark of a christian.I was never taught this in the pentecostal church. I believe in the gifts of the spirit. I have prayed for terminally ill. They have been healed. But my daughter was sick and she died. I do not have the answer. Life is wonderful. God is my friend. Unfortunately, the Pentecostal ministers(Fundamental) forbid higher education for themselves and the congregation.This is based on the wrong concept that higher education corrupts the mind and is worldly. I could be wrong. It will be nice if these minsters will study Eschatology, Hermeneutics, Apologetics etc. so that they will become more effective. I strongly believe in revelation. However knowledge of the Bible is best acquired in a very good Conservative seminary/ Bible School. I would strongly urge anyone who wants to go into ministry to consider Seminary training. Seminary training is like preparation for war. Yes, we the Christians are in a battle field and we need to be equipped. Seminary is the best place to go. I attended Hegewisch Baptist Church, Indiana 3 times. This is where I was delivered from legions of demons. Please check out www.hbcdelivers.org. | ||

not i am sorry i dont know your lanquage, i know the english lanquage but i dont know all the lanquage on this board. i do know i am saved i do know i have the HOLY GHOST i do know these things. i am glad that you say you got saved for i wonder how you could be and do the cussing and calling people liars and demon possesed because they were pentecostals. i do not do the things you acuse me of such as what you siad in the above post. i am not retarded but i would never say some one was retarded any way. i know of ones that i love who are handicapped and i would never allow them to be hurt. do you have a copy of the address from where i am that sent you an email. i want to bring action against them if it came from where i am. i dont know why you say i did that any way for i would not do things of that nature | ||
