Someone sent me an email yesterday. They asked the same question of me that many others have before. If the Kekels and the Davis' know so much about starting a work from scratch (we don't get any anecdotes about that type of work from either of them)...and since Davis and Kekel have gotten on many folks for not doing it RIGHT...or for their PERCEIVED failures...then they should show their preachers how it is done. A sort of hands-on type thing. Let's see the Kekels sell everything they own and let's see them yank their son out of a school once or twice a year and start a work from scratch...and do it full time...and see how long their savings last...and give up their board member status... ...and I mean start it preaching Davis' manmade doctrine...all of it. Go on. Let's see you. Because everytime Davis got up in a conference and lifted up the name of Michael Kekel as some great man of God and preacher and a man who knows how to build a work for God...it fell flat on the assembled preachers and he was too ignorant to realize it. I know I've shared this before, but many of you might remember a conference when Tom Wright got up and was testifying...and Davis bellowed to him as he is often wont to do at conferences...about how that he doesn't know anything and he needs to be doing things the way Kekel is...because he has really "done" something in Graham. I know many of you were like me and you had to repress the urge to roll your eyes and crunch the numbers. By crunching the numbers...I mean...adding up the numbers in Graham as to the make up of the congregation: Most of the Graham congregation was Bible School Students. Another large contingent are the preachers who are not assigned anywhere and seem to only be there as Davis' whipping boys. He loves to point them out while preaching in Graham and making reference to them as failures and do-nothings. A real loving Christian man that Davis. Those that are left...are the congregation...and there were not that many when you figure that between two services on a Sunday, they were consistently running about 1100. That included children...even babies. I'm not sure if they counted the choir and the band members and the Children's Church teachers and those children who had to be there for two services twice...but I'd like to think that they didn't...although...I think they did, and maybe still do. With that large number of minister members and their families...to not be running more in services on Sunday...well...according to Davis' own criteria...it is a failure in Graham. Maybe Whoever is there now is doing better. Is it still Kinson? Has Kekel been reinstated? Either way...same old, same old. The community is smart enough in Washington to know a Cult when they see one. They are also smart in the town where you are laboring. Many of us OUT OF NTCC would like to see the Kekels show us how it's done...and we are not the only ones...many within...if not all...would be gleeful to see them attempt it. Don't worry...Davis will never allow his daughter and son-in-law and grandson to live in such squalor and to live beneath their social status. It won't happen. Because they know they will not do any better than any of you.

Don't forget that most of the remaining "members" came from the former works in Tacoma, Puyallup and Parkland. Parkland alone supplied well over 100. For those who don't know what I'm talking about, Davis/MCKEKEL closed those mentioned works in the Pierce County area and consolidated them with Graham in order to prop up the numbers, etc. Despite having 100 soulwinning teams (virtually 100% whom he hadn't won to God or brought to church), year after year of weekly soulwinning meetings and ASOCs' follow-ups during the week, Kekel's push program is a big flop. The only thing Kekel's program has done successfully is keep 100 couples from having the breadwinner work Saturdays, overtime, or take jobs/careers that would otherwise put them on the road to some semblance of prosperity for their families. If it was ANYONE else running the show in Graham, they'd be replaced. The point is that NTCC IS A FAMILY ENTERPRISE. ALL OTHERS ARE STEP-CHILDREN OF DAVIS AT ARMS-LENGTH...YET YOU RUIN YOURSELVES FOR HIS SAKE AND THINK IT'S FOR GOD!!!!!!!!!~!!!!!!!!!! WAKE UP, NTCC MEMBERS AND PREACHERS! Marc Perez |

I want to say something on a very personal level to all of you men and women who have labored in NTCC as preachers and preacher's wives and helpers and helper's wives: No matter what Davis and Kekel and others have said to you in the past (or presently for some of you)... YOU ARE NOT A FAILURE. I have the utmost respect and admiration for all of you. You are the reason I looked forward to going to those crazy conferences. You were worth the journey through NTCC all of those years...we did it...together. I still believe...that for the most part...you are a bunch of folks who do love Jesus and you gave everything for Him...and you did it in His name. Whether you count me as your friend still, or not...I have not changed, except for the good, I believe. I may come across on this forum as someone totally different and I understand very well...because I felt the same way about those that were posting in 2004 when I was on here defending this organization and proving myself to be a controlled and manipulated individual. You have blessed my life in numerous ways. I think of so many of you so often and I'm thankful for the time we had together. I hope that one day...you'll receive me as your friend and sister in the Lord again. I believe with all of my heart that you will never, ever be able to fully realize God's will for you in NTCC...because Davis is in the way of that. He obstructs that. How many men have mentioned to him...(after much labor in prayer)...a city they believed the Lord wanted them to go and labor in...only to have Davis shoot it down because even though he admonishes everyone to "get a hold of God for themselves"...he will not allow it to happen. He will tell you that God speaks to him...first. You may be beaten down emotionally, and your health may be compromised and your wallet may have moths flying out each and every time you open it and you have regrets...(boy do you have regrets)..andyou want to provide a nice life for your children and your wife...and some of you have even lost children or wives because of the organization...only to wish now that you had fought for them...and not allowed Davis to have you turn your back on them just because they didn't want to attend HIS CHURCH any longer. Getting OUT...and Being OUT...and Remaining OUT of NTCC...is a journey. It's a day at a time. It's allowing yourself the time to stop and think and ponder and when you do that...it will liberate you in wonderful ways. Slowly, I am beginning to go back to when I was first saved. I'm trying to remember that innocent way of the New Christian experience...(before I was tainted by so many in the church world.) When Christ first enters your heart...it's unbelievable. You love everyone. You believe anyone who tells you they are a Christian. You will break bread in Fellowship with those who claim Jesus as their Lord...without Judgement or Criticism. It's so grand. I was like that once. Until...I met James Ashmore and his wife and then subsequently all those that followed in their footsteps...all the way to the top dog...Davis. I learned from them to be judgemental of other brethren and critical of how one looks and acts and to be pious and it sickens me now to think of it. Someone has to teach you...once you've become a Christian...how to use the Bible and the Word of God and the Spirit of God as a weapon to keep others in line and to judge others...as if we are some kind of Determiners- of-Who-Goes-to-Heaven-and-Who-Does-Not. I learned and took a cue from Helen Ashmore...while in the Philippines that if she called someone "brother" or "sister" before their last name (because that's how you do it...there are no first names)...then they were to be considered genuinely saved. If not...then they needed to be worked on. (or is it over?) Don't be too hard on yourself for what you perceive as failures in your life. Not one of us can change the course we've already trodden, but we can change it from here on out. I wanted to write this to you...because i've looked back on pictures of myself and others in the organization and we had the look of those in a situation we didn't want to be in, but didn't know how to get out. I also recently looked through ALL of the pictures of those who are pastoring in NTCC...and I saw THE LOOK again...as of people without that fire and passion and sparkle and LIFE...which Christs gives and NTCC takes away. It's not too late to get out of that place. You see how many have left. You see the writing on the wall. Do it. You won't regret it. For those who are out: I realize everyone is dealing with this in their own way. I know folks who do not want to speak with anyone who they knew in NTCC...no matter how good of friends they were...because they are trying to block it out and not deal with it at all. Some of us feel the need and maybe even a "call" to expose and warn about this group, while others are content to read about it...but to not be involved. Whatever your place is at this time...please don't try and force others to do as you are doing. You will find that with many of us who are out of NTCC and whom you once knew and loved... are still the same people and we love you and accept you whether you are in or out and whether you are adamantly against us or passively against us...I for one...love you just the same. And it feels good too...because now...Christ in me...has the liberty to be Himself and not what Davis says He should be and how He should behave. Jesus isn't some Narcissistic control freak who sends folks to Hell in one decade for having the desire to paint their nails or wear false nails, etc...only to turn around years later...and change His mind. Davis messed with your mind for so long that you don't know who to trust anymore or for that matter...what to believe. Trust Jesus...please don't place the blame at His feet. That's my concern. I want to invite you again...to call or write if you please. As others will tell you who were quite cruel to me when I first got out of NTCC...they came to me later and apologized (as I did to those whom I treated badly)...once they got out...I hold no grudges. Not even against Davis or Kekel or anyone else. I hate their actions, but I fear for their souls and hope they will change their ways. As Olson has always preached and taught: "There are some people whose shoes I would not want to be in." Ditto to that. Your friend, tracy tracy pelfrey tracyapelfrey@yahoo.com 330-546-5838 |

The thought of the Kekels digging out a work makes me want to laugh. Don't you know he is far above that. That would be a waste of his time and talents. Can you see him and his wife with the kid in the back seat running all over town soul winning and visiting all day long. I do not want to live me life in the past going over all the regreats I have, but it really hurts sometimes when I think of all the hours my kid spent in the car so we could go out and do something for God. Thank God my kids love me so and are so willing to forgive. |

I do not claim to speak for anyone else on this forum who has left NTCC or is considering leaving, but when it comes to our children...oh man...this is the root of so much anguish. We chose to be a part of this group...and we were "bullied" mentally...into staying. But our children...and your children...they were just along for the ride....(literally...most of the time). They saw the incongruities. They saw what certain children were allowed to do what they were not...AND COULD NOT (because of the RULES!!!!)...most especially...(as I've posted before and will do it again)...for those children who spent a good portion of their childhood in Graham. Certain children...and you know which ones...were allowed to have as many children as they wanted to attend their birthday parties...while our children were limited to 2 and if you really begged...and made your case...maybe...just maybe you could 'score' THREE!! I remember trying one time to get one more girl allowed at my daughter's birthday party. I was working with a handicap...because I had two daughters and they were counting my other daughter as one of the 2 or 3 which could be invited to the party. Were the Kekels and the Davis' so ignorant and so uncaring as to not realize how "partial" everything was? How could you not know? How could Kekel sit at his desk...or wherever he actually was when he received requests for permission...and deny having one crazy extra kid to be invited to a party and then turn around and watch as his own son had more than what he ALLOWED for the rest of us? How does one do that in good conscience and claim to be so caring and loving? And buying people off doesn't change those facts...not one bit. Our children had to be toted around in the car...in and out of bad neighborhoods...and if one of us parents chose to stay at home with the kiddies so that they wouldn't be subjected to a possible bad scenario...then something was wrong with us...we were told by Davis...who probably never knocked on a door in his life. We know he didn't get out of his monster vehicle to knock on a door up in Graham...he pulled in your driveway and honked his horn...like we were some sort of slaves just sitting by the window...waiting for him or his wife to pull in unannounced...and to honk...so that you could have the honor of running out...to see what the MAN OF GOD wanted. Our children saw all of this transpire...they knew at the time...and they know now what to make of it all. TO BE CONTINUED... |

I cannot tell you how many times someone pulled into our driveway in Graham...and "honked" for us to come out. Lorrie DiFrancesco did it too. And then you get the attitude of..."hey, I honked...why didn't you come out?" Hey...get a clue...did you ever think anyone had to maybe...visit the bathroom now and then? IT was as if your life was not important. You were not important...and the souls they claim to care about were not important. I related the story of how that one day, while driving Jennifer Conner to pick up some furniture she was purchasing...told me that even if V. Davis were to call her while she was out soul winning...she would stop and go to her to do whatever she wanted. Many of us thought that way. We were living in a fog. In a lie. We thought we were doing it as unto the Lord if we dropped everything to help the MEN AND WOMEN OF GOD. I've got news for you. Good News. We are all men and women of God if we are Christians. We are all. There are no distinctions. There is no caste. There are no UNTOUCHABLES...there are no higher and more blessed classes in God! I'm so glad for the opportunity now to do for my daughters all of the things that we couldn't do for them while in NTCC. Mostly...spend time with them...without rushing about and sneaking in a few minutes here and there...or late at night...just so we could have some sort of family closeness. They don't want you to have family closeness or unity. They want you and your children to feel supreme loyalty and closeness to them...and them alone. Many children have put Davis above family and snubbed those that "bore" them...only to be highly disappointed. When folks feel this kind of disapppointment and let down...they tend to blame God and to become embittered against Him. I want to encourage you to avoid thinking that way. Just because these people call themselves a Christian organization operating under the direction of God, Himself...doesn't mean they are. They use God and His Gospel of Love and Forgiveness and Peace...to promote their own agenda and to draw people in. Tracy}}} |
