Back in the Fall of 2004 or Spring of 2005...while attending one of the conferences in Missouri...I was speaking with the wife of the missionary who IS NOW and HAS BEEN FOR QUITE SOME TIME...in Panama. There are already so many examples of how poorly New Testament Christian Churches of America, Inc. treats it's missionaries...that there is no need to go into the details here...but they can be found on this Factnet Forum. But, I would like to address this Missionary couple in particular...because the man has been around for such a long time and I believe was in the first graduating class of the Bible College of this group. While speakng with his wife...we quite naturally...as many of us women are prone to do...began to talk about hormone fluctation and hysterectomies and calcium and bone loss and the like. I know from having spent over three years in a Third World Country...that the water and climate and food, etc...take a toll on the body...and at the time I was tethered to the country by the U.S. Air Force. I had access to the medical care and vitamins and prescriptions that I needed. And, if I needed something sent from the States...it came via the USPS and I didn't have to worry about mail being sent through the local Rummage Sale...otherwise known as the Postal Service. They would Rummage through your envelopes and packages and take what they wanted and used it for themselves or sold it. I asked the wife of this missionary...a very nice lady indeed...if she ever tried a particular brand of Calcium which had been much ballyhooed on the radio. She said she had not. I got the idea from her demeanor that it was something which she could not afford to buy. It was not that she was putting on a pitiful look or anything...because she is not about that and I believe from what little I do know about her...that she would just as soon die as to tell you openly that she had needs and wants. This was confusing for me...after all...money had been solicited from all of us for years to help suppport the missionaries and it's not like there were so many or anything. Money had been taken up for years and years every month at Fellowhship Meetings around the country and sent on to Graham...TO START NEW CHURCHES...or so we were told. No new churches seemed to be starting overseas...so...where was all of this money going? It really threw me for a loop about the vitamins. I told this lady that I would bring her some of these vitamins, but I didn't get to see her before the end of the conference and I didn't want to ask Tanya Kekel or anyone else about how I could get the vitamins shipped to her because, #1, I was afraid she would not receive it due to the "locals" in Panama...and #2, I didn't want the leadership of NTCC to think that she solicited this bottle of vitamins from me in any way. I held onto them until the next conference and gave them to her. She was very grateful and it made me ache inside. It caused me to wonder what else she was doing without. TO BE CONTINUED... |

Hey GREG SHUNK...why don't you take up the cause for the poor state of many of the missionaries in NTCC. It seems that those that go to Panama and Puerto Rico...really get treated like red-headed step children, and their health and their standard of living suffers in the process. When did Davis or Olson or Johnson or Kekel last visit Panama? There is no fine crystal for Tanya to add to her collection in Panama. There is nothing but beautiful scenery and plantains in Puerto Rico...oh...and lots and lots of heat and bugs. Europe is much more chic. I think that NTCC should have a way for their missionaries to receive private donations from those who are outside their group...or...is that unholy also. No, it's not when the money comes to them when plunked in their offering baskets in one of their churches...but to set up a way for these missionaries who have it rough to receive something...just for them. Something that maybe they can even just leave in the bank to grow in interest...but NO...they have to be in control of the money and how much these people get. I think that is like locking these people up in a prison and serving them their rations each day and expecting them to be happy with it. If God wants to bless these men and women in say Puerto Rico and Panama through private donations...then there should be a way to do that. Obviously NTCC is not taking care of them appropriately. Maybe one of us can come up with a creative way to do such a thing. I don't believe these people are in these countries trying to shake down the local nationals out of their pesos and they don't preach...get in or get out...and get right or get left or get a dress or go to hell in your pants. And why? Because they don't have anything worth shaking them down for..except their value to God as human beings and their fertile souls ready to receive the Gospel. If anyone has any ideas of how to get money to these two countries...Puerto Rico and Panama by bypassing the money changers of NTCC...then please email me: tracyapelfrey@yahoo.com Maybe we can get up a one-time good donation...or some pledges. I believe to do so is to support two families who have shown their love for souls and who sacrifice daily to do so. Why should they continue to go without some stupid calcium vitamins? It doesn't make sense. Tracy |

Come on Greg...wouldn't you be willing to do that for a member of your wife's family? Or, are you still married? Does your wife know what you're doing when you are left along with a computer and the internet? Your own Pastor has preached many times over that wives should be finding out what their husbands are doing on the internet...because he suggests that they are likely up to no good |

Tracy, What is so sad is that these missionaries probably wouldn't accept money from people outside of NTCC. Several of us had a very strong burden for one missionary couple in particular, and had worked out a way to bypass the clutches of NTCC. However, they 'prayed about it' and felt that they would have to refuse any help. What bothers me is that even in my 'heathenistic' state, I felt the leading of the Lord (I still remember what His urging feels like) to help this amazing couple. But, they wouldn't accept our offering. We felt it really had a lot to do with the grip NTCC had on them. How many of us who have pioneered works accepted help from those who weren't Christians? We took that assistance as God's way of using sinners to help build the work of the Lord. So what's wrong with OUR money? I wish there was something we could do... but as much as God would lead us to help take away some of their poverty, the brainwashing of NTCC is stronger. How wrong is that?!! The big leaders are so into their big houses and GROSSLY expensive cars, that they don't care that their own ministers are starving, sleeping on cots or floors, or going without vitamins. I take inbound calls from women all over the country. A woman from Graham called today, so I asked her if she knew of the church. She did, and in our conversation couldn't understand how the leaders lived in such exaggerated luxury while the church members they knew were so impoverished. The testimony they are showing to their neighbors is not one that they should be happy with. The stench of NTCC tyranny wafts into the nostrils of the community. I have something to say to all of your wealth and extravagence.... you can't take it to Heaven, IF you make it! So try being Christian (CHRIST-LIKE) and take care of your own!!! Use Jesus as your example and stop mirroring the lifestyle and hearts of so many of the evil leaders from history. Makes you wonder where all of the 'overseas offerings' really go, doesn't it???? |

Some of the people I had talked to in the vicinity of the Graham HQ of NTCC calls it "the cult church." These are ordinary "sinnahs" so-to-speak. Besides all of the extravagance that was mentioned above, I wonder how much money is put away into various accounts of the org and of the individuals running/owning it (i.e.: The Kekels, The Davis's)? Yet they have missionaries that can barely afford rice to eat and a floor to sleep on, much less afford legal/passport/visa fees, transportation, and medical expenses. Shame on the MCKEKELS and the DAVIS'S. Marc Perez |
