why is it "GET OUT IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT!"
instead of
if you don't like it here, that's understandable. God isn't limited to a particular church. Go on and serve God, remain true to Him and the Bible and you'll be alright.

He's using a fear tactic. Knowing that people will not readily go out of fear of hell fire, he feels free to lord it over the people. Of course, what you mentioned would be the proper response to anyone thinking of leaving to go elsewhere. But, since when have they used proper responses to a Christian? |
