I know the twelve tribes don't have dogs or cats, but what if visitors have pets and want to try living in the community for a trial period? Also, what usually happens with pets if you end up joining? |

Unless you're blind and have a guide dog they wouldn't allow guests to bring animals inside. When someone visited me they had to leave their animals in their van. And as soon as you joined the community you'd have to give it up because you should be relying on your brothers and sisters to take care of you and priests don't have pets. That goes for everything you own, when you join you lay everything at the apostles feet. Whether you like it or not. |

If you have any property they want or can turn into quick cash or if you have a sizable bankroll or nest egg they can pilfer they will undoubtedly make special arrangements for your pets, and probably treat them better than they treat some of their own members. It's called "building the Kingdom". |

There was a visitor at Warsaw who had left the Amish and he trained Australian Blue Healers to herd cattle and sheep and he had one with him. The dog was made to be tied up to his van or inside it. He really was interested in joining but could not give up his dogs. The TT children are taught dogs were created to be scavengers, carnage eaters, and they are unclean and are forbidden to touch them. Same with cats, and that the animals now were miscreants and were not fulfilling there purpose. I assume service dogs and working dogs must have unionized and petitioned for a deferment from the lake of fire! Also most children there are scared to death of dogs and run away screaming... |

why is it that people think that the holy spirit is a prison warden? why is it that we cannot be baptized and then set free? isn't that what is supposed to happen? were not Ananias and Saphira free? was not the Ethiopian eunuch baptized and set free? Philip did not even have a say in the matter. he was translated out of there immediately after the baptism. the TT is a prison. why do they insist that we have no choice but to give them everything we own, including our hearts and minds? don't those things belong to god? what if we were baptized and then set free to do what god gives each of us to do? that may include staying it may not. would the world then be set free one person at a time? does having it in our heart to go to our own country and kinsman mean that we would not love our brothers and sisters? some of us still hold that love in our hearts for them. why do they insist that we be imprisoned? is that really what Jesus taught? building the kingdom is god's job not some small group of self appointed apostles. |

That's funny funny stuff. Just a reminder re the TT unwritten teaching about animals -- never swerve to avoid a squirrel or something that won't do damage to your car. Better to grease a squirrel than wreck like many have.... BTW - be careful driving out there -- ice springs up around corners. I've seen it. |
