A group of former GCC students have started an advocacy group called "W.H.Y." which stands for "We Hear You" We are a group of adult survivors who seek to hear the voices of children and teenagers facing religious and psychological abuse. We ask; WHY does society continue to allow this form of child abuse to occur? And WHY is it so difficult for young people to talk about abuse? We Hear You. To protest lack of action against child abuse W.H.Y. is holding a gathering this Saturday, November 11th at the headquarters of the Anglican Church of Canada. Address: 80 Hayden St, Toronto Time: 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. |
