When i was about 24,I went to Mr. Jenkins church after severl visits I begain to talk to him.Once he gave me $100.I was a janitor at the time.So it was a blessing! A week after I got maried he sent a man over to my home and said that (the rev)would like you to come over.Well when I got there hilling hills,there he was drinking alc.I didn't know what to think I realy looked up to this man.In our conversation I had told him I had got married.He didn't beleave me so he call someone on the phone and told me to tell them and I did.The man on the phone told me that if( I was lieing that i was a good one)I gave the phone back to Leroy and thay talked for a minn.and hung up.he had a lot of rings on his counter and I was looking at them.He said here and gave me one. He told me that he would have married me i said that I thought he would have been too busy for that.( I was becomeing very uneasy about being there ) So i asked him could i use his phone to call a cab he said ok but he wanted to make me breakfast in the morning.Oh I could not hadly wait for that cab.So I went to his door and waited he had a glass room there with a hot tub in it .I stood there waiting he came to me and put his arm arround me (i was trying not to think the un thinkabul )I looked up and he kissed me oh god he kissed me.on th lips like you would a woman.by that time my cab came and I left hurt. The next day was sunday so I went to hilling hills to see if he would say something to me sorry or that i might have taken him wrong but he didn't so I never went back there.I havent been to church sence.I am 40 now. | ||

He sent me many letters, constantly saying he is God's man (seemed insecure) and that Satan was going to get me by a certain date, but I could stop that by sending him money before that time. He had a lot of different letters with different scenarios, but they were basically saying the same thing. He used to be right on, but like so many others, he has changed. | ||

i was in prison with leroy in sc back in the 80's. i wasn't saved then but i am a pastor now. having personal experience in the healing ministry and with leroy...i would say that his healing, experience and gifting is genuine, but the problem is he never has been discipled. the result is an open door of deception... | ||

The Ohio Department of Agriculture has ordered him to quit distributing the stuff because it was found to have contained a bacteria that can make you sick. Jenkins declined to talk to The Observer Thursday about the water he claims has special healing powers. June Buckingham, his secretary at the ministry office in Columbus, Ohio, wouldn't say whether her boss plans to offer the water for a donation this weekend in Charlotte.... The water is what's at issue. Melanie Wilt, a spokeswoman for the Ohio Department of Agriculture, said Jenkins agreed in late July to quit distributing water bottled from a well on his former Healing Waters Cathedral property in Delaware, Ohio, after the state said it contained coliform bacteria. Coliform comes from human and animal waste. Wilt said a West Virginia woman who drank it in late 2001 took ill. Following the court-ordered agreement, Wilt said her office began looking into whether Jenkins was violating the agreement after an ad was placed in a Columbus (Ohio) newspaper indicating "new miracle healing water" would be available at an upcoming service. Told about possible plans to make water available in Charlotte, Wilt said her office notified federal and N.C. health officials. So-called miracle water has long been a part of the controversial evangelist's MO. Rev Jenkins is a real prophet and man of God. Someone above posted looking for teaching tapes--if you are interested in healing or any of the charismatic gifts, be sure to check his website. Also communicate with him -- his faith letters are so supportive and many healings are being done directly by contacting him via email or letters. His recent meeting in Charlotte made a world of difference in so many lives. There were so many miracles that I can hardly remember all of them. All of us there who were open to the Holy Spirit received divine blessings--improved health but also knowledge and experience from being surrounded by 3000 people of faith all focused on Rev. Jenkins' fresh heart as he did God's will among us. He began healing me several years ago--years before I even met him or knew of him or his ministry. Since I've been receiving his letters of faith and miracle water -- about 5 months -- I can truly say every day of my life seems like a miracle, filled with better health, hope and increasing fulfillment on every level, worldly and devine. | ||

Don't be fooled by all that you hear and think you see. Ms kathy. I am 42 years old. back in 77 I spent my sunday mornings in that church in delaware along with my whole family. My parents were involved in the ministry sound dept and my mother worked in the accounting office. and the health food store. I myself have poured water from that well into hundreds of gallon jugs over the time it was sold out of the store. Because our family was "In" there was always some cancer or unseen sickness being healed in our family. but my really bad eye sight was never healed and my brothers healing of a blind eye reversed itself. God does not reverse healing. Do not preach to me why this didn't happen. This man is just a con artist its all he has ever been. I lived on two different pieces of property that he had owned one my family was the care taker of the other was just behind the church. When the FBI was doing their investigation we ended up having to move to avoid his rath. that was right before he moved to charlotte. Eve was conned by the searpant, the devil still knows how to con the masses... I can't imagine the money that my own family gave to this man but when my mom started working in the accounting dept I know things started to change after my parents saw how things really worked. He is just another Jim Jones and believe me no better. I can't tell you how much I am torn in my own walk because of the way I was brought up while in his evil presence. It had far reaching affects on my whole family. My own 13 yr old thinks I was brought up in a cult and she is right. If I could do anything to warn people about this man I would. God doesn't ask us to believe in convicted felons. Read your bible this man is not a prophet of God. I pray that anyone who reads this or has been invovled with that con artist will think twice about his cult appeal. I just googled his name to see if he was still out there on the con circuit. and apparently he is. the rings the one person spoke of were rings that little old ladys would drop in the offering if they didn't have that much money. oh yea my family was at the madison square garden crusade too. I was as close to this so called ministry as any 14 yr old could be. His youngest son stayed with my family while he was away. His kids always had the most expensive things of the times cars etc. There is a part of me that even today can get emotional over seeing people sing his praises. At school in delaware they called us names and it was hard to keep freinds. THANK GOD FOR THE FBI its part of why I am in law enforcement today. I know I can't convince anybody who isn't ready to be convinced but if you have questions for me I would gladly answer them if I can. To save anybody the heartache I still feel. | ||

Interesting..... " I have come to call sinners to repentance" I have known of men who preformed miracles and because they were not perfect later be called the seed of satan. It is interesting that Jesus himself was called a prophet of beelzubub. Christianity was once called the "way" every human must seek his own path, Jesus taught that the kingdom of heaven is in you and contary to popular belief he made that statement prior to his death and resurrection. Jesus taught us how to awaken the spirit in us, that GOD put there from the very beginning, the word "spirit" means "breath" and it says God breathed into man, that breath did not die with adams rebellion but, it became latent. All have that same spirit if, you are a member of the human race but, as with any thing you can corrupt it,ignore it, deny it or something really radical accept it. "Does not the scripture say ye are gods unto whom the word of GoD comes" 82nd psalm Jesus quoted this. But even Moses fell to ego when GOD told him to speak to the rock, MOses and Arraon got up and said "must we make water come from this rock" cut God out completely and then he struck the rock that's why he never enter into the land of canaan. Let us look to see is Christ being taught and glorified? Are people coming to GOD because of this person? If so then let GOD judge his servant. And all power is of GOD not one leaf falls from a tree that is not by the will of GOD nor even the death of a bug without HIS permission. When ever any person seeks to live in their natural state they are abused and persocuted. The world is geared toward man living in the fallen state, separated from GOD by his belief that because of his sin(missing the mark) that he has become less than what he was created to be. Remember that the prodical son lived in the pig pen and ate with the pigs but he never became a pig. The ability of man to do the things that Jesus did is well documented and the world exacts a great price from those who would go public with that ability. I speak from first hand knowledge, though I was KNOWN only in my home town. The same people who come to you for prayer, when they have recieved there requests turn and say the power that granted their prayers came from a devil. How heartbreaking it is to have someone call you evil or demon possessed after having been healed. Even more when your parents and loved ones began to fear you because what you say comes to pass. It is amazing the amount of power that humans bestow on satan but, the real truth is there is no evil power any more than there is evil water or evil air. It is the use of the power that is beneficial or malevolent. Power, just like electricity does not care whether it warms a room or terminates a life it is simply being power. For those who would argue this point "all power is of GOD",so satan reigns at GOD's pleasure: read Job 1 chpt. I thought that maybe they were right about me ,see I had unclean thoughts and I missed the mark but GOD answered my requests so much so that I started to wonder if it could be some other force, so I asked GOD to remove the curse. I was coerced into calling GOD's gift a curse and using every means to suppress it. Now after these many years I ask GOD to be merciful and restore his gift to me and let any person who would call it evil be accursed. I seek to once again soar with the angels, christians forget Christ stated it this way "those who are not against me are for me". We all sin and that's why our GOD is so wonderful because He loves us inspite of ourselves. GOD looks constantly for the good in people,people constantly look for the missing of the mark in others. Like the pharisee who gave a laundry list of all he did but, the publican beat his breast and confessed his short comings. | ||

Well, in the late 80's, he had planned a Crusade to London England. I was living just outside of London. I was real excited; I mean, why go see a concert with all the "put your hands together", "how is everyone tonite", "this one was written for my last girlfriend" entertainment along with crap sound, horrible lighting, etc WHEN u could go see a REAL showman!!!!!!! LEROY!!!!! The guy is a star. He should have an entry on IMDb!!! I was real disappointed when I showed up at the park where the "show" was supposed to be to find only one police officer walking around with the sad job of telling people that the "show" was off and there was no reason why. However, the amused police officer commented it was probably because Leroy couldn't get a work visa!!! I later learned Leroy was in prison! I laughed my ass off.... the man has STYLE!!!!!! | ||

I started watching Leroy in the 70's. Of course it's a hustle. There is only one sin he has never committed: being boring. I love to watch him, it's like driving by a car accident. Let's be upfront about this, okay? And if a few people get closer to God while he's stealing from them, okay. These people would get ripped off by another "holy man" that wouldn't be as memorable. My late wife and I would howl with laughter talking about what Leroy did on differant shows. Who else would have the nerve to sell Bibles for $25 and for another $50 he would autograph them "Jesus Christ". We saw it, and there was the time he made a little boys arm longer, right on camera, as good as any magician. I remember the old days when he wore white spats and a diamond stick pin on his ascot, the man was flashy. Women would faint when he would strut out and stop and cast an eye on them. Elvis had nothing on Leroy. I hope I get to see him someday again. | ||

Can you believe anybody buys this act? This guy took a woman from his congregation to Vegas and married her 9 days after her husband died. She and her husband had won a 6 million dollar lotto jackpot a year or two before the old man died. The authorities got involved when the woman's bank notified them about large sums of money being withdrawn from her account . She was later declared mentally incopetent to get married. Do not be fooled, Do you think they put everything in the bible? Reverend Jenkins being righteous has been granted powers too dangerous for most mere mortals. Isn't it amazing the One who came to give us life, health, salvation and eternal joy, who once walked the earth and offered His life so freely, NEVER one time asked for money or anything else in return, other than we take up the cross and follow Him. Perhaps Leroy Jenkins should spend more time learning of this great man instead of hiding behind the curtain of righteousness leading people into deceit. After all, a bottle of water is simply 2 parts hydrogen/1part oxygen.....just a chemical combination......and at $100 a bottle (less than a teaspoon???) I'd say that's pretty steep!
