When Prax first started posting my husband and I thought he was really sincere and truthful in the fact that he really did not know things we know for facts...however as time has passed we see he is just here playing a little word game. It seems he really does not care about the homes that have been destroyed, the families that have been forever divided, a doctrine that tears down instead of building up, Child Abuse, Deliberate Blackballing, disastrous prophecies, lies that have been told to destroy those that have left and on and on...

Prax, do you really believe the things you write? If you really believe them then you know NOTHING about the real HH...

It is far from the garden of God...so far that I am weeping right now just thinking about it...

I am wating for your answer Prax...have another set of questions for you to answer...HH must be delaying their answers to you to put here.
You KNOW you cannot always cover up for wrong doing because more and more people are making decisions and more and more things will come out about the village. Would it have not been more godly for HW to admit they had done wrong, made wrong decisions, screamed at people etc than to have outright said they did not and everybody even the little ones inside the village know that was not true.

Prax true religion does not have to lie and put on farses and live different than they preach...
Why not be real and truthful?

Wheeler's picture in the paper had showed him with the look of indignance and a bit of fear. That certainly didn't win me over. His word holds a lot of water out there, but not past the gates.

Everyone that seen the paper here noted the fear on HW and AA and JS....
Wonder why they are so afraid? Since according to their story the elders never scream?????????????

A couple of questions:

1. Has there been a new (after May, 2007)article on HH posted/written somewhere? If so, where?

2. Prax, and I ask this in all sincerity, if you live in New York and are not a current member of HH, where do you get your information about what is going on in the present context?

Thank you,
A Sister of Yours

Prax cannot answer these questions truthfully or he is afraid of the next set of questions.
Where does he get his info? The telephone...I would say...

Search it out,

All I know is what HH told me and a little hear say. I no longer trust anything HH ever told me.
I was led to think they mediated a settlement.

My own group leader told me Howard Wheeler wrote things that were not true about the person. From what was written and the paper HH had us sign after the settlement, I think there was some breach of pastoral confidentiality.

Usually the settlement includes the agreement that neither side of the case will discuss the settlement with others. If this is the case then HH already broke that agreement when they informed us. (Which, like I said, I doubt it was the truth anyway.)

I wish you luck in finding out some details. There is a thread here where the subject came up:
http://www.factnet.org/cgi-bin/discus/show.cgi?tpc=3&post=367204#POST367204

To A Sister of Yours,
I have not heard of any more recent news paper article than the one in May.

Thank you so much.I am asking all of you who are walking in God's grace to pray for my family. My children are fine but will need time to recover from the fear and legalism at NEW Covenant Community Church, but I will say they are beginning to see it for themselves now that they are out,we have a court order that they cannot contact our children, praise God!!!My husband and I are doing much better and are still healing and finding God's grace to be sufficient.Wow,what a weight has been lifted!!!!My God is bigger and more wonderful than I knew him to be!!!We are filing a lawsuit and have e-mails that come right from NCC people saying that TB and GB did counsel my two teenagers to leave our home,SICK!!!!I also have transcriptions from 2 "special meetings"that blow your mind when you read them!!!they are riddled with fear statement, false doctrine, and plain nonsense!!!I also tape recorded a "meeting"with someone right before I left and tape recorded my own children telling me that TB and GB did infact meet with them(even though my husband told them to have no contact with our children)and "gave them wisdom"which included telling my children I am of "a false gospel"and they should not live with me.All I did was leave NCC I never even said why I was leaving, then before I knew it they were meeting with my kids and giving them counsel against me.SICK,SICK,SICK!!!!My children love me and know this is all not true now that they are out,Thank GOD!!!Please continue to pray for us through this.We feel it is the right thing to do because they think they can come between and destroy families, they have done damage but did not succeed. Then they say it is all for God,again I say SICK!!!!If they did it once they will do it again if there are no consequences for there actions.I have been contacted by a large newspaper here in NY to do a story about this I am praying about it now but will probably agree to get out to the community how dangerous this group can be and deceptive. My family is not the only just like in Texas there have been many families hurt and damaged by this group.I know alot of people there love God and are decieved but God will have mercy on them and please pray for them also. Thanks SK

searchitout,
How wonderful that your children's hearts have been turned back to you, that they know you love them and that you can feel their love as well. God is soooo good! May He continue to heal your hearts and relationships with each other as well as opening doors for new edifying relationships with other believers!

Because of Grace,

Search it out,

I commend you for your bravery.

Thank you for sharing such an awesome praise report.

We need to go to the battle lines when it comes to our children. God bless you for taking a stand! It is amazing, the grace and strength that God imparts when we are willing to take a stand against such evil as this.

Please everyone reading this, pray for the families trying to get out of both of these groups. Pray that that the enemy will NOT be able to split these families.

There are many who do not post here, but are doing their part in other ways that are even more important. Pray for them. They are on the front lines like Search It Out. I want to thank those who have remained in the local area and have been there for those who are leaving. It is so much easier for me, who lives hundreds of miles away and doesn't have family still inside. I admire the courage, love, and energy you there have given to support those who are leaving.

May God shower peace on your homes and families. May your cups over flow with His blessings.

Titus 1:10-11 For there are many rebellious people, mere talkers and deceivers. They must be silenced, because they are (ruining whole households) by teaching things they ought not to teach-and that for the sake of dishonest gain.

These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.They worship me in vain;their teachings are but rules taught by men.You have to let go of the commands of God in order to observe your own traditions! For Moses said,"honor your father and your mother, and anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death.BUT YOU SAY that if a man says to his father or mother:whatever help you might have otherwise received from me is Corban, then YOU no longer let him do anything for his father or mother. Thus you nullify the Word of God by your traditions that you have handed down. And you do many things like that. Mark 7:6-13

When I left NCC my teenagers were "counseled" and given "wisdom" to go against me simply because I left NCC.I had not told anyone why I left but it didnt matter the fact is I left and according to the pastor Tom Bowden if you leave NCC you leave God.This is a direct quote from(TB) at a special meeting.I have the transcript from this meeting. Someone from the congregation asks---I just had a question, about when you were talking about covenant..and you said something about...I dont know if I'm going to repeat this right, thats why I want you to clarify it.Um,we cant have covenant with God unless we have covenant here?Is that what you said?
(Tom Bowden):I said if you believe you have a covenant with God and have something wrong with your covenant here(NCC),or cant have covenant here,or wont have covenant here...you dont have a covenant with God
He(TB) says in the same meeting we have 2 tests one is to obey him without question about something that was happening and the other is do we believe him(TB)not do we believe God but do we believe him(TB)
When I read this I was ..well I cant explain the horror I felt at what he was actually saying.I am sure you guys in Texas have heard similiar things because I know TB is learning alot of his doctrine and beliefs from BA at HH---back to the kids--I told my kids that the Bible say "honor your mother and your father"I was telling them that just because we left NCC doesnt mean we left God.My daughter told me TB said "Yes the bible says honor your father and your mother but Jesus also said He did not come to bring peace but a sword,He came to turn a daughter against her mother"This is the sort of twisting of the word that goes on there to instill fear into people and even kids... But God is bigger that all that fear and all those lies!!!!Praise God!!

But God is bigger that all that fear and all those lies!!!! Praise God!!

Praise God! We really need to believe this people! We need to pray, having faith that God hears and answers, AND that "HE is bigger that all that fear and all those lies."

I have seen God do some amazing things. Turning Homestead and NCC around is NOT impossible with God. True, men have a choice, but God can remove blinders and bring situations that make these men consciously have to choose right or wrong. It is always up to them to make the choice, but we can pray that God will make them have to, or want to, stare into the face of truth and make that choice.

What is going to be churches? Can you humble yourselves and ask God for the truth no matter what the cost? Before you search for truth, do you even know if your heart truly desires it and will be willing to accept it?

It was a glorious, but hard time, when God said to me, "I am not your God." I cried, "God, what do you mean?" And He replied, "The Fellowship is your God." I knew it was the truth, but I couldn't quite see or understand it. So I begged, "God show me." Then God began unraveling the chains of lies and deceptions I had accepted. He also showed me how I had become a man pleaser, fearing man, even more than God. He showed me the sin and self-righteousness I was living in, and how I did it "in His name."

The sorrow I felt was deeper than any sorrow I had ever felt before. But as I admitted my sin and repented I felt His forgiveness in my heart before I could even ask with my lips. It was as if I was sitting on the lap of my father and His arms were around me and he shared the truth, exposing my heart in love, not anger. It truly was glorious.

God has this love for each of us. If our hearts are willing to know the truth, He will gently correct us. But I believe, in His love for us, He will bring us to our knees if that is what it takes.

It took a near tragedy to get me to the place of opening my heart. For some it took a tragedy or the rebellion of their children for them beg God for the truth and more importantly, open their hearts to hear it. Some members have had their children leave their homes in rebellion or have been manipulated into forcing their children to leave, and they still want to believe they already have the truth.

When I was little I had a blue and yellow ball that had holes in it of different shapes. There were these yellow pieces also of all different shapes, (triangles, squares, circles, stars...) The object was to put the pieces into the ball by finding the right hole for each shape.

God showed me in the month before I left HH, that my belief ball had at that time only round holes, and that God wanted to give me truths that wouldn't fit into those holes. He showed me that I had limited my beliefs to only those of the fellowship. I would only accept as truths those things that would fit in holes that Blair Adams made. I wasn't open to anything else. I prayed, repented, and said God, I am willing to hear anything you want to tell me, even if it is something I don't "want" to hear; please tell me.

That is when God told me, "I am not your God" and I began to see the truth.

What is it going to take to get us to walk daily in that place of loving the truth, even when it is something "we don't want to hear?"

Has God already came with a feather to lovingly correct you? Will He loving have to come with a two-by-four? Even then, will you accept the truth?

I pray for all of us in and out of these groups, that we will love God above all and love the truth more than our lifestyles or our friends and family that might shun us.

In Jesus name, let it be done.
FH

Thank you foreverhis that is all so true.Unfortunately it took the things most special to me(my kids)to open my eyes to the level of control and destruction these "leaders"are capable of and all in the name of God.You are right and I need to get to a place where I pray also for them and the people still there.Honestly I am not there yet but God is healing me and I feel it now.I have had several relationships restored since leaving.I called people as the Lord led me to ask forgiveness and everyone was so loving and said I was already forgiven. My brother took it the hardest but is willing to try to heal our relationship. He was angry and very hurt when I did not go to our parents funerals. Both my mother and father died a year and a half ago but I did not go because I was told "there was no redemption there"(for my parents)he is finding that hard to get over and is not a Christian but we are taking baby steps in our relationship. We had a cookout at his house and my aunt, uncle, and my brother were all there with me,my husband and all 3 of my children. It was FUN.I realized that I havent had any FUN in a long time.We played board games and my brother showed my son how to shoot a hunting bow and arrow,we had good food and I laughed all day.My 7 year old played with my brothers fiance, she was so good to him.Praise God for he wants us to have relationships with our family and friends even if they dont go to our church.I am so thankful for this website so I can know that others have gone through similiar struggles and are now walking with God in the cool of the day.Mercy, its my new favorite word!!!I think if I have another child I will name her Mercy Grace as a testimony to God!The newspaper reporter came today and I gave him alot of info on HH to show the way NCC is going and also I gave him Phillip Arnns # so please keep praying for this article and also pray for the reporter because this is a spiritual battle as well as a legal one. Thanks to all my brothers and sisters here on Factnet and God pour out his blessings on you all for your bravery and willingness to post here as well.Shannon K

PART 2

Clarifying my previous post... (I have to clarify this because of teachings in HH,)

I am NOT saying like the fellowship does, that “God is going to put someone in a car accident “or anything like that... that is NOT what I mean.

What I was referring to is the consequences of our actions or inactions due to what we believe is true and our unwillingness to hear what don't want to hear. [ex: Young people rebelling due to father’s never having the time to develop a relationship to them necessary for good Christian Parenting... or them having seen blatant favoritisms of elders’ families or too much hypocrisy. Perhaps other consequences of families being on the receiving end of abusive authority or the consequences of misplaced blind faith... or…Perhaps the wife and the children loosing respect of the man of the house who runs around with his head covered, so unsure of his own ability to hear God that he "runs" even ordinary things "by the elders." (How can a wife and children respect a husband's decision making ability and wisdom from God when the husband can not even respect his own?) Perhaps there are consequences of medical neglect because of fear of going to a doctor without “passing it by the brothers” first … ]

If “Wisdom is known by her children,” (the phrase on an HH banner which once hung above the gate to the land,) and you are trusting in the wisdom of men whose own boys have gone hay wire… ????

The fruit doesn’t fall very far from the tree. When I smell something rotten under the tree, it is time to ask God where I went wrong before it gets worse. But asking isn’t enough; I have to be willing to hear directly from God, even if it is something I don’t “want to hear.”

I am so moved by the way you have opened your hearts and minds to other points of view, eventually leading you on a different path out of HH. I know my family that is there (or at least I believe them to be) trying to do what they feel is God's will. I know I will not be the one to open their eyes, but I do know they read this website often; I believe that if they are truly open in their hearts, your profound words from personal experience spoken in a loving way and in the spirit of love, will be a major moving point for them.

Thank you FH SIO, and others, for your courage and honesty in sharing your lives here; I believe it will make a difference for those who are really ready to listen to what God is saying, even if it not what they want to hear.
