I started reading the posts of what the workers banned, and believe me in the 1980's and 1970's there were rules for everything you wore, did and said. It is sad or I should say awesome that Jesus words are the same, today, yesterday and tomorrow. The 2X2 church seems to have changed those words to fit who ever is the head worker of that area. The Bible teaches us that if we feel guilty for reading the Bible as much as we should; not pray as much as we should, or not attend church as much as we should then that becomes a obligation not an act of love. Going to meeting or church does not make one a Christian any more thatn sitting in your garage makes you a car. I am curious of this Living World Fellowship that started in the middle of the banned tread. I work at Christian Supply and notice that some of the younger 2X2s are buying the NLT (New Living Translation Bible) Is this the bible being used for meetings or is there a newer verson for the younger groups to try and undo the lie of when meetings were started. I don't go for the "Well; in Kings Tuts tomb they found seeds that sprouted in the 20th century and thus these flowers grew, when thay were dormate for over 4,000 years. Poor excuse I don't for one moment believe that truth died out and was rediscovered 2,000 years later. It states where two or more are gathered I am among you. Church does not have to be organized. We all read the passages to love your neighbor, love your enemys and love God with you heart, soul and mind. The top commandment is LOVE. Not earned by works but by the horrific death of Jesus who shed his blood to pay for our sins, this was a gift from God so we could get to heaven. |

"Going to meeting or church does not make one a Christian any more thatn sitting in your garage makes you a car." My thoughts exactly! I agree with your post. It seems that with the internet and the Wm Irvine and John Long testimonies now available that perhaps the workers are trying to cover up the cover up. Not so sure about the use of "other" Bibles. Have heard some workers say only the KJV and others use different Bibles for reference. |

Thank you for your kind words, it's hard to write how you feel and make it sound ledgable. I have also heard that some members are using other Bibles, but in my day that would have been frowned against. It's been a real eye opener to have found information about this church. It's amazing the brain washing that is used, but used in a innocent manner from my family. I wonder if the workers knew this in my day when I was going? My Mother still goes at 78 and won't hear what I have to say. |
