I wanted post about the death of Jeannie Moulton. She passed away on March 18, 2006. I was surprised to see no mention here. She was a very visible face since the beginning of Bible Speaks through the end. She was not a power player in any sense of the word and did not benefit financially from anything do to with any permutation of the church. Her choice to her life led to much pain and conflict with her children, of which I am one. When she chose to leave GGWO, she was treated much like others - shown the door. Afer a life time of selfless service. No matter what we feel about all the wrongness of the organization, she was a woman who did the best she could for her family and served God they only way she knew how. I miss her every day and am so grateful for the opportunity to build a bridge and to have her know her beautiful grandchildren before she died. She passed on to me her stubborness and we both had to do some meeting halfway to meet, but it was worth everything in the end. |

Wow, I did not even know Jeannie Moulton had died...a year and a half ago now...I am not in touch very often with anyone from Baltimore, and I had not heard. I remember her in her job as the receptionist in the offices behind the chapel, answering the phones....she was always so sweet and always greeted you by name. I do not know you, plaid, or any of her children, but that was a beautiful tribute you wrote to her. |

She was so incredibly sweet to me, she handed me the Grace Hour calls for the years I was there. She would send somebody down to ask me if I would take them.I can remember Richard coming to my office and asking me to pick up my phone, Rick's phone, Butch's phone, Ralph's Phone, John's phone. Ironically to this day I have not ever told anybody some of the more bizarre points like two of those guys would become Pastors. That includes Teddy A. Try holding a screwdriver in your hand, pulling out a motherboard and having Jeannie insist you "take this call!" She was so kind and I felt like she was one of the few people who while was deceived by CHS was as real as it got when it came to loving Jesus. I feel cheated not knowing she left and went on to see her Lord. When Keri and I left GGWO I would come to GGWO sometimes and she would would be so kind to me. Not like "gang" of others. In 95, 96 She called me and often would help me eat when I was making nothing. When Gabe was born she knew I had nothing to eat and she go "Pastor Neil would you like something to eat, I've got such and such." And insist I come eat. I don't think people remember the "gifts" of the rich like you remember the "gifts" of those who have little. In her humility, concern and love she gave to others. Not out pf having much but having concern that was real. If my understanding of scripture is right, than the first become last and last become first. She was often the first person to serve in the morning so I would imagine her service was not forgotten in Heaven, she was often last in how she was treated and I would imagine now she is treated as one of the first in the Kingdom. There are few people who will ever understand people like her. I get it, past all of her inabilities she had a way to do what others couldn't. You should have seen others, many who had swifter bodies times 100 try to cover that phone. I hope she forgives for when I insisted when change the phone system in 1997. When I have called GGWO over the years I often go, "the pieces don't fit because the good hearts that made up for the negative are gone." She was one of the. Jeannie put my call through on Grace Hour knowing it was me during my separation in 2001. I would imagine CHS was not happy knowing that. I had been in the hospital for three weeks and she didn't think it was funny I was hurt and she didn't think it was funny people turned on me. It infuriates me that anybody would take issue in her service and love. What a good soul. Neil Patrick |

Hi Plaid, I haven't been here in ages. So sorry to hear about your Mom's passing, but glad to know you were able to reconcile before the end. That really means a lot! How is your husband? Is he still in Iraq? |
