A challenge...

I'm new here, and pardon me if this has been addressed before:

Many people at this forum label "Pentecostalism" as a cult, as an aberrant belief system, based upon certain fringe churches/belief systems that call themselves Pentecostal. However, we who believe in Christ as our Savior are Christians - followers of Christ. As such, we must reject those beliefs that obviously conflict with what is clearly revealed in God's Word. Therefore, we reject those fringe churches and their beliefs.

Otherwise, CHRISTIAN "Pentecostals", or charismatics (as I prefer) simply interpret several sections of God's Word differently than CHRISTIAN evangelicals, catholics - i.e., non-charismatics, however you wish to identify yourselves.

So my challenge - because this is a Christian website, and as Christians our doctrine is based upon God's Word - would a discussion on the specific differences, between charismatic doctrine and non-charismatic doctrine be welcomed?

I started a thread on Luke 11:13, stating why I believe this verse backs the charismatic point of view, and the only person who commented was "The Apostolic Truth Ministries" individual. Sadly, his intense, almost rabid loathing for anything "Pentecostal" produced no fruitful discussion, just acrimony. I tried to engage in a discussion based upon Scripture, but he refused...

Would anyone like to participate in such a discussion, based upon 2 Timothy 3:16 - "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness?"

i believe that as paul said all scripture is given by inpiration of GOD....
the scriptures correct me when i am wrong, help me in my understanding of scripture and other things i life and helps me by reproving me whne i do err frommanything of GOD HE reproffs me. HE ALSO DEFEND ME and helps me when i am in trouble with the enemy as the devil comes against me. i donw know much elso to say on that. i believe in THE FATHER AND THE SON AND THE HOLY GHOST. I BELIEVE THAT HE IS THE WAY THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE. i BELEIVE THAT JESUS SAVES AND AND KEEP SAVED. i also believe in being saved , sanctified and filled with THE HOLY GHOST with the eveidence of speaking in tongues. i believe in all of the gifts listed in i cor. we do not get fanatical and do things contrary to GODS SPIRIT THE HOLY GHOST. we do have teachings to follow but we are not into legalisim. we do not say you have to be baptised in JESUS NAME to be saved for we baptise IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER AND OF THE SON AND OF THE HOLY GHOST. WE DO NOT TEACH THAT YOU HAVE TO SPEAK IN TONGUES TO BE SAVED. we believe a persson is saved by faith IN THE BLOOD OF JESUS. we do use and practise the gifts in our church. but we believe you have to be saved first to get to glory or heaven
