Please describe the experiments given in the KJ version of God's (w)Holy Inspired Inerrant Word for the Ages. Here is a Strong's Concordance for those who have never read the Bible. http://www.eliyah.com/lexicon.html |

If too complicated, try this: http://www.blueletterbible.org/cgi-bin/words.pl?hr=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.eliyah.com%2Flexicon.html&icon=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.eliyah.com%2Fbackto.gif&textcolor=000000&linkcolor=0000FF&vlinkcolor=A000FF&show_strongs=yes&word=experiment |

Okay, I followed the links: 1. The Blue letter Bible, using the NOUN experiment, referenced one verse: Ecclesiastes 1:2, "Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all [is] vanity." 2. The Blue letter Bible, using the VERB experiment, referenced the Strong's Concordance, with these meanings: a. "without experience" (a, negative, peira, "a trial, experiment"), is used in Hbr 5:13, RV, "without experience," AV, "unskillful," with reference to "the word of righteousness." Hebrews 5:13 - "For every one that useth milk is unskillful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe." b. In the Sept., Num 14:23, of youths; Jer 2:6, of a land, "untried;" Zec 11:15, of a shepherd. c. means "the process of proving;" it is rendered "experiment" in 2Cor 9:13, AV, RV, "the proving (of you); 2 Cor. 9:13 - "Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men;" d. 2Cor 8:2, AV, "trial," RV, "proof;" (b) "the effect of proving, approval, approvedness," RV, "probation," 2 Corinthians 8:2 - How that in a great trial (experiment) of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality. e. Rom 5:4 (twice), for AV, "experience; Romans 5:4 - And patience, experience; and experience, hope: f. AV and RV, "proof" in 2Cor 2:9; 13:3; Phil 2:22. 2 Cor 2:9 - For to this end also did I write, that I might know the proof of you, whether ye be obedient in all things. 2 Cor 13:3 - Since ye seek a proof of Christ speaking in me, which to you-ward is not weak, but is mighty in you. Phil 2:22 - But ye know the proof of him, that, as a son with the father, he hath served with me in the gospel. See EXPERIENCE, PROOF. Cp. dokimos, "approved," dokimazo, "to prove, approve;" see APPROVE Dictionary.com defines experiment as follows: a test, trial, or tentative procedure; to try or test, in order to discover or prove something. Of course, ask any fifth grader the purpose of an experiment, and she will tell you the same. I'm not sure what the relevance is, of the phrase "experiments given in the KJ version of the Word" you are referring to. Please elaborate as to your point. |
