I got an interesting email recently. The author claims to be a person who was saved by watching Benny Hinn on TV. He then proceeds to say that he is convicted by his sin and wants to give me a large amount of money ... to do God's work. It's obvious by the language in the email that it is designed to target Christians, especially those who follow televangelists like Hinn. Don't worry. I didn't respond. This is just a new variation to an old scam that is designed to get my personal info so that the sender can empty my bank account. If anyone else receives an email similar in any way to what I have described, don't be tempted to answer it. It's a scam. Just delete it off of your computer, and trust the Lord to supply for you in other ways. |

If he has a check in his spirit, he should make it out to me... ... Just kidding Marta, I get a lot of those in my "junk" email inbox and they are very often attempting to cash in on the good intentions of Christians. |

I get several emails a day claiming that I have won a large amount of money, inherited a large amount of money, or that some generous person just wants to give me a large amount of money. I just laugh and delete them. But when they bring the name of God into their little scams ... (Message edited by marta on May 07, 2007) |

For a period of time, I had been responding to those emails with very funny responses, stringing them along - some of my responses were quite funny and I was collecting them for a book (ala "Letters from a Nut", which if you haven't read you MUST immediately) but I must have gotten my junk email address on some block list because I hardly ever get them anymore. |

Respond back and tell him you don't have a bank account, but he can send the money to your PayPal account! |
