Quoting: "Triple or nothing Acts 19:5-9 Notice verse 9 Baptism in the HolyGhost is a different experience than salvation at the new birth. Acts 19:2-6" End quote. Did you really fall for that? The people in Acts 19:1 were lost, just as were the folks in Acts 8:12; Matthew 7; and Matthew 25. You did read your Bible didn't you? I believe it was you who stated the Bible was written in plain English. Would you like me to post scripture proving they are lost? I can. I took the time to read the Bible. |

Acts 19:1-9 I copied it in modern english so maybe you can understand it better. Would you like a tissue? lol read em and weep. I normally take no pleasure in being right but it does feel good about now I must say:-) At least the people around here will not be caught in your snare of deception. 1 WHILE APOLLOS was in Corinth, Paul went through the upper inland districts and came down to Ephesus. There he found some disciples. 2 And he asked them, Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed [on Jesus as the Christ]? And they said, No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit. 3And he asked, Into what [baptism] then were you baptized? They said, Into John's baptism. 4 And Paul said, John baptized with the baptism of repentance, continually telling the people that they should believe in the One Who was to come after him, that is, in Jesus [having a conviction full of joyful trust that He is Christ, the Messiah, and being obedient to Him]. 5 On hearing this they were baptized [again, this time] in the name of the Lord Jesus. 6 And as Paul laid his hands upon them, the Holy Spirit came on them; and they spoke in [foreign, unknown] tongues (languages) and prophesied. 7 There were about twelve of them in all. 8 And he went into the synagogue and for three months spoke boldly, persuading and arguing and pleading about the kingdom of God. 9But when some became more and more stubborn (hardened and unbelieving), discrediting and reviling and speaking evil of the Way [of the Lord] before the congregation, he separated himself from them, taking the disciples with him, and went on holding daily discussions in the lecture room of Tyrannus from about ten o'clock till three. stubborn (hardened and unbelieving), discrediting and reviling and speaking evil of the Way hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I hope this helps :-) Your Pentecostal pal Purification7 |

Unfortunately, Mr. Purification, most people around here can read the Word of God better than yourself. I need but one verse to disprove their salvation. "He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost." Acts 19:2 KJV "But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his." Romans 8:9 KJV I added the emphansis to direct your mind to the important part of scripture. |
