There is an EveryNation forum on MySpace. Why not join in and interact with the discussion there also. Maybe get some of those people to come chat here on FactNet. http://groups.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=groups.groupProfile&groupID=100180286&MyToken=2e7b09e9-d3bb-4c56-a451-526a84f6a9db |

Philip I have no problem with those young people. I am driving the Cadillac here. The posters here are the moral authority over EN. We have dominion over them now let us get back to business. Flo is wrong we are the moral authority over EN, we are their conscience. EN leaders you are wrong you must obey the gospel .... OBEY!!! got that??? |

HI people, I personally have found going to myspace and seeing people from "my past" actually quite upsetting. Becareful about going there unless you are 100% "over" your experiences and healed 100%. |

I checked it out also. Interesting how such positive things are being said and how at home the posters there feel. Its a subtle reminder of the "good" things presented that got me hooked. I'm tempted to rejoin- not. It also shows a glaring lack of insight or knowledge of what goes on behind the scenes and in the upper levels and hidden chambers. If only these innocent people knew..... Actually, good people involved give me a measure of hope for their future. A measure of about a quarter teaspoon that is. If all one hears is this stuff or the good things, it seems like the greatest group in the world. if all one hears is the factnet side, it seems like the worst group in the world. I suppose the truth is somewhere in between. A flawed organization with a lot of good people who are my brothers and sisters. They might not like being infiltrated with ex members who recognize problems the my space group doesn't see though. It will take a wiley individual to garner any ongoing dialogue and respect I think. |

You don't necessarily need to go there and actively debate. Just go there - start a discussion - and post some links back to web sites like www.everynationinfo.com and www.everynationreform.com and see what reaction they give. |

I'm not sure why, but I find the idea distasteful. |

Philip I think leaving those kids alone is a good idea. Let them have their thing. Were on the search engines and those kids are internet savvy. Looking at those posts it is kind of funny how often spiritual family is mentioned which means subconciously they are the kids and will be expected to submit to father figures. A lot of those kids moved great distances to attend an EN church, especially Bethel. It is a little strange can you imagine if you were a Southern Baptist and you said lets move to church headquarters of the denomination? I don't see much differance from MCM and in fact I don't remember using the term spiritual family even a fraction as much as these kids do. |

Well Philip at the other board in case you don't go there the general consensus is that posting at my space might be like telling little kids Santa does not exist and people don't want to be killjoys. Most likely the posters there would not listen and not appreciate the views of many here on a whole variety of subjects (think about that one). Not to mention the on going confronting of EN church leadership. Back in the day I would have most likely brushed off the criticism found at a place like this if it existed back then. I would of said that was in the past, those were isolated incidents the people are sincere....etc. |

Anyway Philip tell us what you think? It does not matter what the consensus is. |

I'm out to promote dialogue and get more people involved in conversation - I think that is the best way to bring about useful change - whether people stay in the organisation or move. And the more diverse people involved in the dialogue the better. I don't think it helps just to have a few people who all agree with eachother chatting on FactNet and some other group who all agree with eachother chatting somewhere else. |
