I read that the year of this great vision is set at 2042, I also read somewhere that she had predicted a date earlier but when it did not come true a lot of the followers left the cult.
Does anyone know what was the previous timing of our demises?? And what excuses jz came up with to explain it away??
Thank you

JZs first dooms day prophesy was, unfortunate for her, recorded in one of her books: the Days to Come.

Dooms day was also mentioned in numerous "intensives" across the country.

The date JZ gave for dooms day was 1988; cataclysmic earth changes were suppossed to throw the world into chaos. The Stock Market was also suppossed to crash in the ladder part of 1988, where upon gold was suppossed to "go to the heaven." Well, it didn't.

Yet JZ didn't stop there. Periodically she updated her dooms day prophesies, always suggesting that it were right around the corner. This put everyone in an almost permanent panic mode.

In 1989, at an evening event, she told everyone to start building underground shelters. Instantly the whole town of Yelm went collectively insane as they hurried about trying to figure out how to build underground shelters.

I knew people who spent tens of thousands of dollars on a UG only to watch it collapse.

What a waste of energy!

Mathew,

Oh, my you are so right ! Hubby and I are sitting here and I am reading your post to him. He laughed and said, "What a bunch of prairie dogs!"

The stock market was going to crash and we had all been "warned" to gather gold coins, because the market would change and the value of a paper dollar would only be seven cents on a dollar, so gold would retain its value and we'd be "saved" and could pay our debts off at this cheap rate with valuable gold. I first got introduced to all of this nonsense by an old man who is dead now. As I posted another time, he scared the wits out of me, a very young mom with a bunch of kids I felt I had to protect. He said I had two weeks to buy gold and food. I was unable to sleep. He was a then-current student, saving me, of course.

You probably know that in the school, there IS a pat answer to explain away any predictions that don't manifest. It's because those powerful masters changed the timeline !

How cool is that ? Ramtha is infallible ! The masters (students) are powerful and life is good.

"As it is seen in this moment...."

I'm thankful that at least I never built a UG.

Oh ! The whole Y2K fiasco - we were prepared for that, though. I was so terrified my babies would starve to death, I stocked enough food for the army. Most of it was survivalist food and for anyone who might wonder, most of it (the dehydrated stuff) tastes so bad that dying might be the better option. (not literally of course) Most of it has found its way to the trash !

Oh, how embarrassing...but at least I'm honest about it.
