I watched Dr Scott's wife on TV the other night. She's interesting, to say the least. I know Dr Soctt died last year. I've heard some pretty dicey stuff about the two of them. Anybody know much about them? When I went to her web site, it said you had to make reservations to go to church! Odd........ |

from what I remember of him, he was really weird. He would just sit in front of a TV camera and swear at people, and tell them just to "send in your &&&& money!"
I saw a skinny young woman on a show named after him- gee, I thought it was his daughter!
That's his wife?
I guess it's the fashion now, for preachers on TV to have a very young wife.
So- with staying within the forum bounds, what do you mean by "dicey" stuff? Fraud? Perversion? Fakes? Or- all of the above?

I was going to say the same thing, ex-wol. I remember him years ago when he sat in front of the camera and did nothing but puff on his cigar and tell the people to send him money and sit and stare upward into the air waiting for them to send it. He wouldn't say nothing for 30 minutes or longer. He was actually mesmerizing. I think his show at one time was 3 hours long - of saying nothing.
I got the impression he was showing how effortless it is to get money from the gullible. He sure got it for doing absolutely nothing. I had to admire him for his honesty though, if that's what you'd call it- he didn't make himself out to be anything that he wasn't (at least at that time) - just a rebel cigar smoking arrogant heretic. Lol I actually ran into a couple of people who thought he was legit. Some today still do I think.
Later he began standing on a dreary deserted stage with a big chalkboard supposedly teaching scholarly from scripture. I didn't have a clue what he was talking about. I think he was into some off the wall beliefs. |

He always seemed to appear to have smoked a lot of "different" kinds of tobacco... ;)

I heard this info on another website. Allegedly she used to be a prostitute. I honestly don't believe it. He also ordained her, not that that's dicey. Just adding info. |
