I recently came across this web site and have been checking out nightly I've got to say the people that post on this site have some serious issues how can you spend so much time writing lies i'v done extensive research on homestead heritage for a little over a month and have come to the conclusion that homestead heritage is NOT a CULT the lies you spread will only cause trouble for all } |

Dear NSC,
I applaud you for doing research and certainly a month is a good start. Don't stop. If you are really interested in making a life changing choice regarding HH you owe it to yourself to find some ex-members and visit with them.
There are over a hundred in the Waco area alone. Call Watchmen Fellowship and get the tapes from thirty or so members that came together in 2005 afte the article came out in Christianity Today.
Are you so sure that those posting hear are wrong that you are willing to call us all liars after only one month of "research"? As ML said some have lived for many years some over twenty-years. Something to think about.

Actually NSC didn't share anything about his (or her) own personal fellowship viewpoint.
And while I would agree with Under_grace that one should consider the things of the Spirit very deeply and not make an intense move without Holy Spirit care (paraphrasing).
'Visiting ex-members' .. sure, some will speak cordially, some questioning, and some dripping with vitriol. Personally I see no edification at all in the last group. Nothing worthwhile to entertain. The 10-foot pole could be 50-feet long.
'Visting members' .. definitely .. spend time in fellowship, be thankful for their wonderful hospitality, join them in prayer and all different ways. Ask them about their lives, hearts, calling. Amen.
btw.. NSC didn't call you all 'liars'. As I have often pointed out, this is a charged word, although he did talk about lies.
At first I used 'liars' for nobody on the forum, now I believe it must sadly be used for some of the oppositionals.
Those who are constantly spewing out the various vitriols (Jim Jones, killing babies, Masons, living dead, death covenant, (leader) as a GOD) are in fact in a very deep and dark deception - and have been lying on this forum daily. Any softer word would be at the expense of truth and accuracy.
NSC I believe may have noticed that, thus his response.
I would encourage NSC to realize that not everybody is of that nature, bound up in such vitriol. Yet most all of the oppositionals appear to support the vitriol as part of their tactical warfare against HH. What is conceived in rebellion is manifested in strife, hatred and lies.
In fact only one has spoken out asking for it to cease.
And since the sick vitriol is from the spearhead of the oppositional movement - the most 'esteemed', the greatest effort, the presumed posse-former, the 'leadership' if such is not a language abomination - it could easily thus appear that most all of the oppositionals are liars.
Which would be a very harsh and unfriendly conclusion.

One important point is that you cannot become familiar with the internal problems of HH until you experience them and that is the scary part. If I had access to all the info currently posted on this board prior to my family entering HH we probably would still have joined. It just looks so innocent and beautiful and perfect from the outside. The people are sweet and loving and caring and welcoming. And for several it is the ideal community and church. But there are some MAJOR policies and procedures that will be introduced both as you go in and after you’re in. Most folks simply don’t take the time and effort to completely understand the ramifications of agreeing to them. Your trust is too great. So study them and ask questions. Ask more questions. Then, ask more questions. Then, if you like all the answers, join. Just remember, there is no backing out once in. Once you take that vow and sign the paper, you’re there for life. If you decide to go the doors are not locked. You will simply be ostracized and you will be shocked. The very people that said they loved you will turn their back and have NOTHING to do with you. You will have walked out on God and divorced his body. As a result, according to them, you’re going to hell. To make that kind of a commitment one should study long and hard. |

check prax out! ha ha good one prax. nsc said people on this forum are writing lies. i don't know about the world of big words, but for me, one who writes lies is a liar. then what do i read, prax says no no nsc is not calling you good folks liars come on now... heres the kicker, prax ends up calling the posters liars just like nsc!!ha ha!sorry to pick on you prax nothing personal but i get so tickled reading your responses. you really try hard. keep it up.
now for nsc, under grace gave some really sound advice if you are serious about HH. good luck. |

Is this really so complicated ?
Although much that is spoken here daily by some of the oppositionals are blasphemy-lies, and the worst stuff is from the main part of the opppositional vanguard, there are actually a number of folks who write very sincerely and with restraint and respect.
The big problem is that most are unwilling to take an integrity stance against the acrid stuff and this taints all the oppositionals.

It is hard to write to you Prax I have lost all respect for you. Instead of answering question you resort to name calling if somone differs from you.
Most of us that write here have had recent experiences with hh...you are stale...if you think hh is so great, answer the questions I asked. That you will not do or have not done up to this point. Do you want me to post my questions I asked you that you have not answered. |

I have little interest in what you might write to me or about me, and prefer just as well that you do not - unless and until you forsake your ongoing and daily vicious and acrid blasphemies against HH.
This is the prime issue of this forum. It would in a sense be very easy to correct, however your heart is not right before God in the matter.
