Calvary Chapel pastor Oden Fong has committed adultry and his wife divorced him, yet CHUCK Smith has brought him back to calvary chapel
to lead worship. It was clear to me from the very first time i met Oden Fong that he was not really saved, but he was a judas. and just a few years later he gets naked with another woman and has sex with her and proves me right! I would
like to ask Oden Fong who he was thinking about
when he was on top of that woman? was it Chuck Smith, was it Rose his wife, was it his children, or was he thinking about his congregation at church? did he really think he was going to get away with having sex with another woman?
He personally destroyed many pastors lives and hindered the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Oden Fong you need to really get saved. and please stay away from my wife and daughters. you will never be trusted again. Oden Fong Hopes that Chuck Smith will restore him to the ministry befores he dies. and that is why Oden Fong is back at Calvary Chapel. Its about the money Oden ,You miss that money so much that you will pretend to be humble and will play your muuuusick. the very sight of your face makes me sick! just knowing what you did to all those pastors and just how many woman did you have sex with in your time of being a pastor? I believe it was many more. Oden Fong you have destroyed many people.please look
at another line of work. you should start a kun-fu class or something. And stay away from the woman at church! |

I grew up in Calvary Chapel, and I am now fairly unimpressed by it. FACTnet has a thread specifically devoted to Calvary Chapel which you might want to check out. You also might be interested in PhoenixPreacher.com which focuses on the issues and scandals of the Calvary Chapel organization. |

Steve may have been confused because of this. Oden Fong was through a differant Maranatha, Maranatha music not associated with this group.
Steve, that Oden Fongs song titled Come for the Children was awesome. Most of his other songs were mediocre but this thing was the type of song you played air guitar to while looking in the mirror. Before I was Christian, before I joined Maranatha campus ministries my Christian friend said listen to this I did and I loved this Christian song that rocks. That song rocks, it rivals Skinner and reminds me a little of Van Halens running with the devil.
Anyway I was living in the brothers house. I moved in as a last ditch effort to make myself conform to the wisdom of Maranatha. I blasted the song Come for the children in my room. Anyway, one of my "friends" destined for upper leadership who drank the whole gallon of koolaid told me that when he was praying the annointing lifted when I played that music and he felt quenched. This was a friend that turned me into leadership for grumbling about Maranatha, also he would not return my calls because he was to busy playing soccer with international students he was trying to win to Christ, Rice Broocks dropped by around that time and was giving tips like move in with foreign unbelievers or unbelievers in general and minsiter to them. That message sounded good but some of the more worldly members that had joined said that was super dumb to move in with guys that were carousing and womanizing, they basically called Rice an idiot. Anyway about the guy that was doing outreach to the internationals?, I liked this guy and even bought him a large annointed Finney book, he is an attorney now. Matt Hatter will be happy to hear that even this guy thought the Indi/Hindi movies were super dumb. He would watch them with the Indian guys he was trying to convert. A beautiful girl at a carnival hiding behind a carasol playing peekaboo with a dorky suiter. Hatter those movies are junk but I can see why Franky would like them.
Anyway Steve that song by Oden Fong was awesome, give him the benefit of the doubt. I was thinking about checking out a Calvary Chapel church in Nor Cal 
Heres a question? How many international students or just plain sinner reprobates live in the Broocks residence right now?
Second question, is this a trick question?
Ohhh, in the past a certain poster would say 40/40 you are bitter and hostile and have a problem with leadership, it's obvious or something along that line

I have his first LP. I think it's pretty good, but I don't recall having heard about his failings. While we are all susceptable to falling into sin, it is this kind of ignoring of scriptural mandates regarding the qualifications of those who minister that brings reproach to the cause of Christ.
Unfortunately, it has been the case at least since the early Jesus Movement to promote the famous and celebrities no matter their shortcomings or how young they are in the faith. The tendency seems also to wink at the sin of those who are the "big" givers.
May God have mercy on us all. |

interesting....being i am a calvary chapel brother i would like to add a few things. first of all calvary chapel cant stop anyone from doing evil deeds. no church fellowship can. the word states all have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of GOD. JESUS told those who brought the adultress to HIM to be stoned and to trick HIM that all who never sinned to cast the first stone. yes,,,i believe if your "home" is not in order you are to be dismissed from ministry,,,,including worship and or worship leading. however our GOD is a GOD of restoration,,,,," i make all things new again"...dont apply here ???? how about how many times we should forgive one another ???? was it 70x7 ????? all for no reason ???? wasnt this our SAVIOR's words ????? i feel that none other then pastor church is the PERFECT brother to "oversee" this brother who has shamed his name and his family honor. i trust in GOD to speak to pastor brother chuck to see thru any dishonesty. i believe in restoration,,,because if not,,,,,i would not have salvation,,,,we all come from adam,,,and as such are "estranged" from GOD without the blood of JESUS. people will always fail,,,,but we should be there to exhort and pray and seek the kingdom of GOD first. i trust in proverbs 3:5,,,,,trsut in GOD and HE will make my paths straight....this brother has an appointment with the HOLY GHOST if he has not had it already !!!!! serving the church is a blessing but a curse too,,,,satan is there trying to rob from it. he (satan) suceeded ,,,,albeit temporarily by causing this brother to transgress. though my trust is not in man,,,,but in GOD,,,,HE has appointed all pastors to serve as overseers,,,,chuck smith is an example of a excellent one. i personally would desire to see him teach live and in person and have him even autograph my bible. why ???? because he is an example of a GOD fearing man i would love to be able to emulate,,,,not perfect,,,,but yet a great brother in CHRIST. he is actually a living legend in christian history. he is a GREAT overseer,,,,especially for this brother here....may GOD bless us all with love to forgive and move forward and press onto the mark,,,in JESUS' name

This isn't really a good place to discuss Oden Fong. This is the Every Nation Ministries discussion board--not the Calvary Chapel discussion board. PhoenixPreacher.com is a website devoted to the problems in Calvary Chapel.
I'm not entirely certain, but I believe the people there investigated the accusations against Oden Fong and concluded that they were without merit. |

All I know is that someone is really ticked off at Oden Fong about something, who knows what it is though.
Feel the love.
This is an interesting question though. If a female pops up and accuses a minister of immorality with her and the guy denies it, does that mean he is off the hook if there is no proof. Can you go after the minister if there is just circumstantial evidence? Lets say someone saw a minister at the movies with a young femme fatal and she says the letter X happened later but he says oh know it was only rated G I saw a movie with her to comfort her thats it she is crazy. What then? Lets say he is guilty I guess you have to let him walk. |

You can do an investigation based on an allegation if you think the girl has given sufficient evidence to warrant such investigation, but what you can't do is just go post an uninvestigated allegation on the internet. If this kind of thing was seriously entertained, then any one of us could be accused of any crime or scandalous activity on the internet. Oden Fong is innocent till proven guilty and here is not only no proof, but no evidence or witnesses either. It is just anonymous slander. |

Philip, given your great courage in the face of VERIFIED covered-up scandal, you would certainly know the difference.
IMHO, this also would be more relevant in a Calvary Chapel-related discussion. There is one on this board, and one on Rick Ross as well, though nowhere near as active as this one. Unless of course this reposting is for the "benefit" of former EN members who are attending or may be considering attending a CC. If so... my humble advice is to prayerfully discern ANY church you may consider joining, no matter which denomination it is in or who the pastor is.
If I posted every report and allegation that came my way about EN or MCM, past or present (yes, EN leaders, you would not believe what people have told me, some of which I think may actually be true but I generally don't post without further VERIFICATION--not to mention as God leads me to post or not post), maybe these discussions would be a lot more interesting, but also I/we who have spoken out about EN would have a lot less credibility, and not just outside EN but also inside. There might be some who see me as rebellious and led of a Jezebel spirit, but believe it or not, I DO yield to the authority of Jesus Christ and the Word of God, as the Holy Spirit enables me as I am still a weak person in the flesh. Where I am weak, He is strong. |

The most active Calvary Chapel website I have come across is PhoenixPreacher.com. They've provided information about a lot of the controveries and instances of abuse currently rocking that organization. One of my former pastors and his bad behavior was brought up on that website. I didn't post very much, but I did read a lot, and, in my opinion, it was a good website (at least as of this date) and I would recommend it to people who have have been abused within CC or simply have questions about the current problems with CC. |

Hello Everyone!
At a time: When Our Nation’s family values and morals have reached an all time low!
At a time: When The Ten Commandments are removed from state & soon federal facilities!
At a time: When Our Political parties oppose each other at the cost of our nation’s security!
At a time: When The Catholic Church hides Pedi filers without concern for the children!
At a time: When Ministers act like Rock Stars self indulgent performing acts of adultery!
At a time: When we’re losing what our For-Fathers fought so hard for, One Nation under GOD!
It seems to me that with all these problems we face, maybe the leaders of our church’s & communities
Should make a special effort to choose a replacement figure with absolutely no hints or even a suggestion
Of inappropriate behavior!
Greed and corruption always starts at the top, Today’s leaders have to set a standard by example!
Ministers have to answer to an even higher standard and the persons and/or person that they place
In top positions should be completely clear of any hint of wrong or inappropriate behavior!
Calvary Chapel’s leader Chuck Smith should think twice before allowing Oden Fong to assume the
Number two position. There are too many ministers and people that have been hurt by him!
He was committing adultery wile he was married, this is a FACT not a rumor!
He also married a fellow minister’s wife after counseling her as a favor to him! (Some favor)
With so many Christians in our nation, why does he even consider Oden Fong as an option!
Especially with the thought that Mike Kestler might be part of this fiasco! |

Ulyankee, I think that Michael has, for some time, been thinking about closing down Phoenix Preacher. I'm not sure of the specifics, but, as I understand it, he was disheartened by all the negativity he had to deal with.
For something like a year he's occassionally posted about how he was thinking of shutting down the site or, at least, pulling back on his involvement. I guess now he finally has decided to close it down for real. |
