I heard of him , a lot of people complain about he is always asking for money then prosperity comes to you. I don't mind about giving, but there is a balance to it. This one I heard has just gone to the extreme. My cousin now curses God for not blessing her and she gave big to this ministry. Though I don't believe to put all our trust in what the preachers say, the bible said, put no confidence in the flesh, that includes pastors. My cousins fault was she put too much confidence on the pastor. I always believed in every preaching we have to discern it whether its from God or not. I just don't think its from God when she heard him. | ||

I'm surprised to see Joel Osteen lumped in with the preachers listed above. It's true that often he preaches a "positive" or "prosperity" message, but I've never heard him ask for one red cent on his TV program. By the way, didn't Mike Murdock purchase John Avanzini's church in Haltom City-Fort Worth to use as his new headquarters for the "Wisdom Center"? | ||

I have met John and listened to him and have found that the money people give is used to spread the Word of God and to teach people to live a debt free life. People do have the choice of giving to his ministry or not giving. The giving is good if it is done through proper motive and not giving to get, but giving to spread God's Word. |
