Depends of your talking about the cult of the 2x2's...or truly GODS truth as stated in the Bible. I value the TRUTH and my love for Jesus now that I have found the REAL truth. Not slandered by the teaching of the workers and lies to cover up all the lies from the past and all the legalism that went with the group. It is such a relief to know that you can not earn your way to heaven, that Jesus died for our sins and we are saved by grace. It is all so simple!!! |

I thank God everyday that I found Him and came to know Him better because of a humble, lowly way of worship "where self can have NO place" Maz |

dear anonymous 206.48.229.82, Self dosen't have any place in a christian heart. Jesus was humble and lowly in his way of worship, such as he taught his apostles. There is no place in the Bible that gives us rules such as hair, t.v. radio, cars, laptop computers. The letters to the churches of corinth were written to a very CARNAL, sexually immoral church. Corinth was the biggest city of the day with lots of sin, sons sleepping with stepmothers, orgys, clothing that was tempting to men, too much of everything. Paul sent a second letter to warn them of the dangers of their lifestyle. That is was better but they still needed work. Pastors, workers, elders are to teach from their generation. Even though GOd word never changes our world changes vast knowledge has been opened to us in the 20th century and doubles every six months. I don't think one country has missed an opportunity to hear the Gospel. Do you think the Workers are humble, when they dictate to us rules that they made up??? Who decides a car is okay, but television is not? What about Radio V.S. laptop comupters????? Do you beleive they should condem every church in this world when they have never stepped inside one? How can they give advice about parents rearing children, when they will never have any? Do you believe that GOD speaks through ONLY them?? Most important queston..do you believe Christ died for our sins so that we who are born in sin can be saved by grace???? You will never work your way to heaven, no one is good enough to get into heaven except through Jesus who intercepts our sins to the FATHER. One of the biggest questions I feel will be asked to us, did you help save other by speading the good word to anyone you could talk too? I never saw anyone go to the missions to help the poor and hungary. I do, I give money to people who need to eat, have a bed to sleep in. I am very careful not to enable drugs and drinking. I have bought bus tickets, given a prayer for God to help them in their difficult times. I have gone into taverns, bars to help people willing to llisten to know that Jesus loves them and they to can have salvation and know God as their Father that walks with them at all times. I never in my 30 some years EVER see a professing person go into the community to help the poor and needy, the ones who need it the most. I will give the shirt off my back to help my brothers and sisters to find the wonderful peace of GOD. Do you in your lowly church do that? |

Yes Vicki, I actually contribute to all of the above that you've mentioned, I'm not confined to rules and mores laid down by workers.. and I'm not ashamed to be identified as a follower of Christ in this way.. I speak fearlessly about my belief.. The good that one does does not need to be publicised.. "by their fruit you shall know them" So sorry that your interaction with the lowly way has left a bitter taste in your mouth. Much love, Maz |

Maz are you male or female? I realize that I do not need to mention the good one does and for that reason I was not specific in mentioning exactly what I have done to help others. I am a 4th generation or was 2x2 and raised in a very strict home. I'm no longer bitter because at least I was raised in a religous setting. This has allowed me to love JESUS and GOD but I rebelled and questioned the rules as set by the workers and being a female felt it was a double standard as the fellows didn't look any different that those men in the outside world. I went to meetings in a very rich area and there was some snobbery in my group. Meeting were held for years at my Grandparents home, which I loved! Maybe my Mom taught in the way her parents taught her. I was punished by vowing on the Bible and told that GOD was angry. It has only been in the last few months in joining a church that has freed me in trying to work to get into heaven. I also have worked at Christian Supply for almost a year and have lots of study material at my hands. I study alot and the Bible has really opened up for me. I don't use the KJV anymore I use the NIV and can understand it. Can you tell me if the workers still have all those silly rules anymore? Are they explaining the information found on the internet and the questions some may have about the beginnings of this church? I sell a book that a professing person has written, its a good book, not negative just a novel about the lowly way called The Gate Seldom Found by Raymond Reid it is about the history of the church in a novel form. Sold in all book stores in the Christian section. Write me back and let me knowe if the rules have laxed a bit and where are you from. Northeast Oregon here. |

Vicki, I'm female, 3rd generation professing, must say my upbringing wasn't strict, kinda normal, we weren't allowed to do lotsa stuff that everyday people did, actually we were protected from a lot and thank God for that today... not to say we didn't rebel and experiment with things as we got older. Workers were always around... actually there are 4 workers in our family and we treat them as normal... but with respect. It saddens me to read all that is said from so many, and to realise that your experiences are actually true.. and I do believe what you all say... remember not all who say "Jesus are actually His". When I was made privy to info. regarding the origin of the "truth", I felt confused for a while, actually spoke to workers about it, couldn't get the answers that I so needed so I did my own research biblically and prayerfully..Gods'way has always been criticized from Bible days 'til now and although the Irish might have been the ones to revive it upon the face of the earth in our generation... I do still feel in my heart that it never truly died out from the time of Jesus,I believe God is particular and doesn't want us to serve Him any old how as I believe He left a format on earth for us to follow... NOT WORKERS! We should not be bound by rules, and anyone who finds themself trapped in a belief system that is governed by RULES will rebel...my heart aches for such, and I believe that such leadership is wrong! after all rules are guidelines, perhaps some have gotten caught up in "being the greatest" which is Not what Jesus was about while on earth. We live in moderation in all things and ask the Lord to guide us "into all truths". I visit the U.S often, know the system isn't perfect.. but know that God is perfect.. so I look beyond the follies of man made doctrine and find solace in Gods' word.. Will talk to you another time. Love, Maz |

Dear Maz; Thank you for your answer!!! Sounds like the TRUTH is a little different in other countries. I guess my next question is here in the USA the TRUTH believes that Jesus was an exampe for us to follow and they don't believe that he was GOD and man and that he died for our sins. They do not believe that we are saved by grace. I realize that we must try and be Christ like in our walk but we do not earn our way into heaven through works. Jesus took our sin away by dieing on the cross and on the third day he rose to heaven. He came back several times so the apostles could see him. He will return someday to rapture his church coming from the clouds, just as he ascended to his father after he was crucified. Love, Vicki |

Vicki, seems like there are doctrinal errors in representation. I have never thought of Jesus other than being God and I do believe that our works will never get us to heaven... but by Gods' grace, The rules and regulations that are so tedious... made by man no doubt have created chaos and unbelief in the minds of so many, hence the falling away of many... may God continue to be merciful.. with love, Maz |

Vicki, I'm from the caribbean. We try to abide by 1st Timothy2:9-10 "that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with braided hair or gold, or pearls or costly array; but (which becometh women professing Godliness) with good works. Most folk study from other versions " new revised, full life study, life application.. etc" it has just never been an issue... but we all use King James version in meeting. TV seems to be a personal issue, some have it some don't.. and most times it's not hidden.. Vicki, I feel you've been wounded from childhood and beyond.. I pray that the Lord continues to lead you into all truths. Love as always, Maz |

Thank you Maz!! You are so sweet!!! Thank you for all the answers to my questions!!! I know that I have been wounded for many ,many years and so have the past generations that accepted the way and thus past it along. I known the truth varies from location and country. It should not, but it does. Love, Vicki |

Maz, I don't think it can be denied there's positive things about the 2x2's. But I also don't think it can be denied that there are negative things also (refer to 1John). The question is not so much what things are positive and what things are negative, much rather: how are the negative things (i.e. contradictions between the Holy Scriptures and the doctrine and practice of the group) being addressed? If there's only a vague "Don't mention it" policy, then there is a problem, from individual errors going up to systematical errors and the induction of heresies into the fellowship. However, if it is okay to speak about the practice and doctrine in the light of the Holy Word, when everyone is eager to examine themselves and let themselves be examined by others, then yes, that is a wonderfully positive thing as out of this comes genuine fellowship in Christ. Truth will prevail no matter how attempts are made to remove it from the face of the earth... Nehemiah 6 and Acts 6. Enemies of Christ will only fail in their feeble efforts. |

I like the fact that no one badgers you for money and the freedom that you have in doing Gods' will. There's a mystery to the Truth that sets it apart from other ways of worship and I believe it only comes when God reveals Himself to you. Arianne |

There is a lot of information that gives the history of the mystery. Yes, it is set apart to itself as being the only way. I'd rather be badgered for money than led astray. |
