Upon investigation it is conclusive that Ramtha's "School" of Enlightenment is not an approved school coming under the jurisdiction of the Washington State Board of Education.
RSE is a privately owned, for-profit business. The term "school" appears to be nothing more than a business name.
As it is a business it ought to be accountable for the "product" it offers. As it it becoming quite evident to a growing number that the product offered is not forthcoming it is suggested to lodge complaints to the Attorney General's Office. For those who live out of the area, the appropriate Attorney General's office is the one for Thurston County.

Here is an extract from an email received from Laura Moore, Executive Assistant, State Board of Education.....

As this is a private enterprise, the state Attorney General’s division of Consumer Affairs would be the best avenue for assistance. The following is the internet address to file a complaint with that office:

Also:

THE CITY OF YELM requires all businesses located within the city limits, or who conduct business within the city limits, to be licensed with the city. Approval of license may go through city police, planning, fire and building departments. Please contact the City of Yelm directly to obtain more information.
The local authorities can be addressed for breaches of the local business license requirements.

For those who are unfamiliar with the Attorney General's Office here is an exerpt from the home page....

Welcome to the Washington State Attorney General's web site. As the public's lawyer, the Attorney General protects consumers, defends state laws, and helps to ensure that our most vulnerable citizens - our children and the elderly - are safe from abuse and neglect. That's just a small part of what we do. On this site you will find a wealth of information about the office and its mission. We hope you find it useful and informative.

Here is more information from the Attorney General's webpage.

The Legislature has passed a number of laws to protect consumers and legitimate businesses from unfair business practices. The Attorney General's Office has been given the responsibility and authority to carry out a number of these laws. As a result, we have four programs that do important work on behalf of consumers.

Here is a brief summary of the four programs. You can click on the links below to find our more and get important information that may be useful to you.

The Consumer Protection Program investigates and brings legal actions to stop fraudulent and deceptive business practices. The program, which utilizes many volunteers, also facilitates the resolution of consumer complaints. Each year the program recovers millions of dollars on behalf of consumers. Another important function of the program is to educate consumers so they can avoid getting into trouble. You'll find education materials, complaint forms and more on this site.

The Antitrust Division enforces state and federal laws that protect consumers and businesses from anticompetitive practices, such as price-fixing, bid-rigging, monopolization and other conduct that interferes with fair competition. On the Antitrust site you can find examples of important cases we have filed to hold down the price of prescription drugs, as well as information about antitrust laws.
