Just so everybody knows, the 'Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints' is my church's name, and if it's missing a word it's not my church!! Polygamy is a 'No-No'. |

My response: Just so you know, from 1834 to 1838, the LDS Church was known as "The Church of the Latter-day Saints". So, are you insinuating that when the LDS Church was known by such a title, it wasn't your Church? The Church you follow today is different from the one that existed then? iru said: "Polygamy is a 'No-No'." My response: And just how long will this "revelation" last? |

My friend said his mormon neice just came back from a mission for the church. He asked her if she believed Jesus came to America. She said she had never heard that but if the church teaches it, it's true. Do these kids even read the book of mormon before they are sent out on a mission to share their beliefs with the world? The intro. pg. in the bom states this book is a record of God's dealings with the ancient inhabitants of the Americas. (First paragraph). Three pages later it says basically the same thing. The requirements for being a missionary in the mormon church are long and specific. You are supposed to have a knowledge of their scriptures, especially the bom, which is considered a companion to the bible for this generation. They have to have a temple recommend and be interviewed by their bishop. What's going on here? |

Bless you Arron, don't be afraid of Mormons they are not all like that, there is some Mormons that have a lot of questions about there belief, and as long as you stick to God's word and not get into challenging them and there beliefs you'll be OK. |
