A September 2005 message by Carl Stevens Pastor Carl Stevens: Ok friends, dear friends. Turn in your Bibles to I Corinthians, You may be seated, I Corinthians…Verse 10 Pastor Carl Stevens: Who has it? Now I beseech you brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ Say that? Congregation repeats: “barely audible”?? Pastor Carl Stevens: that you all speak the same thing, Say it. Congregation repeats: that you all speak the same thing. Pastor Carl Stevens: that there be no divisions among you. Congregation repeats: that there be no divisions among you. Pastor Carl Stevens: that ye be perfectly joined together. Congregation repeats: that ye be perfectly joined together. Pastor Carl Stevens: in the same mind and same judgment. Congregation repeats: in the same mind and same judgment. Pastor Carl Stevens: When the scriptures speak of divine unity, it is amazing, shocking, fantastically, harmoniously beautiful. Perfectly joined together. Everything has gone through the cross. There isn’t anything left, Everything’s been crucified with Christ. So the first truth….in Proverbs 10:20 is the silver tongue We all speak the same thing, And the Word of God says that we’re perfectly joined together in the same mind, in the same judgment, through doctrine. Now that’s revival. It’s not the subjective Christian that lives in his own personal experience…. NO He goes to Calvary, He speaks the same thing. He doesn’t leave his local assembly because he likes somebody’s personality. [applause] He doesn’t join some other group, because they’re close. They all speak the same thing, same mind, same love, no division, no indifference. I am sorry. I’m in such pain, I’ve got to quit. But God Bless you. [applause] |

whew, for I minute there I thought we were a one thread cowboy Still at it to the end; striking utter blindness if not abject manipulation; note the hypnotic rhythm, say after me, say af-ter meeeee, see the spinning wheels in your eyes, donnn't leave mah church cause that would be seeking personalities; ah know I've had auctions selling my old personals..but tha's besides the point anyhow the purpose of this thread is to point out some fundamental similarities between Aimee Semple McPherson and Carl Stevens. She is of note in America, because this was probalbly the premeir forerunner of the one man show; Her phenomena was in the early 1900's ; one can surf the web and see the history. Kuhlman, Hinn, and a lot of other one-manner's who claim/recieve near apostolic/if not apostolic acclaim also mention her as an influence. Mixing vaudeville with a robust approach to religion; she won the west coast and much of the nation. Divorced her first husband basically because of the "call" she said she had on her life to the "field"; later dissapeared saying she was kidnapped; only to be proven she fled away to have an affair; not proven in court; but the evidence was there; died early having taken an overdose of pills; not proven if it was suicide. Point being, if you study her, listen to her on tape; you can tell she had a shallow charisma & knew what to say at the right time; could see the actress in her (was an actress) Although, a four-square church in her name still exists, and whatever good they do; great; but there are many elements she introduced to the american scene that has been copied down and very, very problematic; to put it mildly; what's even more disturbing is the number of people who bit into this 'apple of delight' - there's some subject for serious thought hosts of people in California and across the country were fanatically; I mean fanactically devoted to her every move; the papers across the nation loved her because she was a news-maker. Surf it; very interesting; the beginning history of american vaudeville christianity and the one man show (Message edited by hadasa on February 03, 2006) |

Hadasa, Benny got part of his inspiration from the other woman,Kathrin Kulman. He also seeks them at their gravesites and has conversations with them.He is into necromancy. I'm offended that you insult paint that way.Paint has more integrity than that,LOL.

I'll tell you Hadasa, After hearing that from CHS, I wanted to stand up and give him a 15 minute Standing Ovation. " NOT!!! I would like to see us get back to expose, expose, expose and do it Biblically with two or three witnesses to the fact. Yes, there are other subjects that are very interesting, but we could go to a Christian Chat for that stuff. Maybe our time here is very limited, so why not make the best of it. Look folks, I'm not running anything up in this camp, but since we have been given a second chance for as long as they let us, just take for instance what Sidethorns testimny did for that one person who never even went to GG. Let's stay on point soldiers. I'm a soldier in the Army of the Lord. Must get on task, until mission accomplished. Shalom Gone to PA aka Lieutenant Kick , so let's kick some Devils butt.
