Hello Everyone. I have been checking out this website www.landoverbaptist.org If you think Greater Grace World Outreach seems bad, watch out! They make GGWO and Carl Stevens look innocent! It's insane! It is catagorized under Christian Humor, but I wonder if they are a real church. I certainly hope not! They act like a bunch of self-righteous judgemental Pharasees. They call themselves True Christians (TM) Tell me what you think! I look forward to hearing your replies! |

Of course it's not real; it's a spoof/mockery on contemporary AND orthodox Christianity. Now, I'm not going to say the contempory 'christian' church has not given the scoffers ammo; because the USA christian church is becoming more of a hypocritical wretched thing each day, and because of that, the superficial, if not counterfeit church is going to bring stuff down on balanced orthodox beleivers; not to mention the fact that the world hates true christianity anyhow but it's getting harder to segregate suffering for righeousness sake versus suffering for buffoonery. more trends are coming our way; they involve suffering. |

Whats so sad is too many churches in America today resemble Landover Baptist all too much. Legalism, extrabiblical teaching on dos and don'ts, manipulation and abuse of people, condemning anyone who differs from the group in any way, etc. etc. etc. |

Better for you to be a pastor there sidethorn my little schmuck, I'm not even a Baptist--don't even believe in credobaptism--I hold to infant baptism. (I am sure that will stir you up) |

I'd rather be a pastor in a place like Landover Baptist than a member of a cult ran by a egomaniac like you Cordell. I'd clean that place up so fast peoples' heads would be spinning!!! Cordell, you just can't stand the fact that some people don't agree with you and speak their minds. You just have to call them schmucks and spiritual cabbage patch babies, Cordell. Does that make you feel a little better. Great job! Keep up the great job exposing yourself as the completely stuck up spiritual jackass you really are!!! SIDETHORN |

You silly twit. Did you not take a poke at me above? You're a pot, sidethorn, calling the kettle black--and you're so thick like a plank that you can't see it. Hypocrite. (Message edited by cordell on February 02, 2006) |

Now I'm a twit and a pot in your little world. I'm so happy so regard me so highly. You're the one that started the little jabs because you can't stand the fact that I disagree with your false teaching. Then you have to be so immature about it by running people down and insulting them like Carl Stevens did. Grow up and get a life Cordell!!!! SIDETHORN |

Yeah Cordell you sure responded to my little comment like a little baby. Weren't you the one who's been whining on this board for many days now?? Aren't you the one who whines like a little baby every time someone disagrees with you??? You just can't handle that can you?? I'm not the whiner here. That's your specialty. As far as Landover Baptist goes, you would be a perfect pastor/ cult leader in a place like that if it did actually exist. I was making a point!!! You have the same wreckless disregard for others and their spiritual walks as Carl Stevens does. Like Carl you have your own twist on everything and try to cram it down our throats. We all have the Ism's and you don't. Yeah Right. Keep up with your crusading Cordell. The more you try, the more people won't believe. They can see right through your three dollar bill you're trying to sell and they're not buying it. So just grow up, stop whining and give it up. SIDETHORN |

Cordell, what is an outline of the 'Reformed' case against credo-baptism; I always thought that was a clear one scripturally; i.e. that Baptism is for adults who can reason that Baptism is a symbol and an external witness of what the Spirit has done; sealing you into the Body of Christ; separation us unto Himself (Christ)and a couple other things like that anyway, I know that the Reformed also make a case for infant Baptism (some kind of covering thing) but I was not aware that they actually hold that credo-Baptism is not taught in scripure; or is that your conviction; or am I in misunderstanding of the Reformed beliefs on Baptism; probalbly am I always wanted to get into that. |

It is all about continuity and discontinuity, covenants, and the meaning of sacraments (signs and seals). Don't forget that there are Reformed Baptists as well--usually they emphasize little 'r' capital 'B'. Here's a good starting place for you--'Whatever happened to circumcision?' and 'Who's in the church?' |

A good outline is in the London Baptist Confession of 1689. That's as good as it gets, unless you visit James White's alpha omega ministries website. (Message edited by cordell on February 07, 2006) |
