which ways do our politicians manipulate campus fraternities for selfish and cheap popularity, why hasn't the authorities solved the problem of cult activities on our campuses since it reared it's ugly head during IBB's rule |

I cannot imagine the immaturity of some of you frat men. There's alot more to life than violence, i think you all just need a re-education, or should i say reorientation. and i'm refering to all frat men. Anyway Greetings to you all, be u an axeman, marphite, buka, airlord, kk, vikky and nuff respect to all the other frats that i didn't mention, i am a world airlord from the great oluyole . i'm currently resident in england, and i stumbled across this forum this morning, and to be honest i'm impressed with most of what i've read. i think we all need to come together to make confraternities a positive force in the society. we all know that the situation in Nigeria is depreciating by the minute, and we the educated and proven rugged ones that are supposed to fight for the rights of the masses are foolishly fighting amongst ourselves. Like rugged outlaw dawgg said confraternities in the civilised world are a force to reckon with, why can't we in Nigeria emulate such behaviour? We really need to get our priorities right, all those rugged men from the different frats whose lives were so foolishly cut short due to our inability to comprehend what is right from what is so terribly wrong, i'm sure you'll all agree that it was not worth the fuss. Guys, you are all highly rugged, lets test our wits like real men, lets stop the violence and start the reconstruction of all the confraternities. from there we can make Nigeria a better and greater nation than any of us can imagine. |

EIYE CONFRATERNITY CALL FOR THE REGISTRATION OF CONFRATERNITIES IN NIGERIAN HIGHER INSTITUTIONS. What you sow is what you reap. Do we not realise this fact? It appears we are trying to redefine the rudimentary law of nature. The successive Nigeria governments have undeniably shown total disregard to the law. Consequently, the society in general seems not to have any understanding of the Law. The accepted legal norm now is primitive law and jungle justice. Ordinarily, law is the dictate of the ruler. In a democratic society it is the aggregate of the opinion of the people in any given society. To date, it is right to say that the Nigerian law is the dictate of practical reasons of the past military rulers. The practical reasons of the military have been shown to be intellectually deficient in all ramifications and propelled by corruption. Hence, our law is deficient and propelled by corruption. We complain about the activities of some members of confraternities in our higher institutions but we fail to attempt to consider the causes of the problems. We have failed to understand that the causation is integrally linked to the eventual. The failure to understand this basic order of nature is the bane of our inability to provide a realistic solution to the problems. At this juncture, we believe it would be a disservice to our fatherland if we do not assist in the debate to provide a realistic solution to this imaginary insurmountable problem. It is with this moral obligation in mind, that we opted to talk and enjoin you to at least suspend your fantastical misconceptions about us and open your mind. We agree that the activities of some members of the confraternities in our higher institutions are damnable. We agree that we cannot continue to tolerate these acts. However, we should not get carried away. Calling for total eradication of confraternities on our campuses is now gaining a wicked and unjustifiable momentum. In order to actualise their objectives they proceeded to give an Eiye a bad name. They now refer to confraternities as cults. They obviously lost the plot from the outset by confusing cultism with the activities of confraternities. We assume that those who refer to confraternities as cults are not malicious. Thus, we now propose to partly lift the veil of ignorance. What is cultism in the Nigerian context? It involves a ritualistic system of worship. It would usually have a religious undertone. You do not know whether these confraternities are involved in rituals. Taken this, they simply jumped into conclusion and called for the eradication of confraternities from the higher institutions. They want to throw the baby out with the bath water. Eiye confraternity believes that it is unpractical and definitely impossible to eradicate confraternities from the campuses. In the premises, rather than folding our hands whilst the impossible is contemplated we now suggest that the only reasonable and realistic manner of addressing the perceived problems is to formally register the deserving confraternities, such as The Supreme EIYE CONFRATERNITY". It is high time we examined our conscience and address the injustice, unequal treatment and diabolical double standards in the society. What moral right or justification have we got to demand the expulsion of students because of their membership of confraternities? How can we justify their expulsion on the basis of mere membership and unsubstantiated allegations? Is it justifiable to have the concentration of pseudo legislative powers, investigative powers, and the adjudicative powers in a single body where students are concerned? Why should their studies be truncated when an appeal is pending? Are we not ashamed to rusticate these students whilst known murderers like the notorious sergeant Rogers and others remain untouchable. (though they have been arrested watch out for the outcome). Remember the case of the unknown soldier, when thousands of soldiers attacked a civilian and his household, looted, raped and had a non-stop picnic then burnt down the house. This is a very good case of gross irresponsibility with all impunity, no one took responsibility for this atrocity. To crown it all, the supposed responsible judiciary discarded the word responsibility from its dictionary and did not find the culprits responsible for this act of barbarism even in the face of all evidence gathered. We believe and know that irresponsibility was the watchword in those dark days. Should we continue to wallow in such filth? We need a constitution of the people and by the people. We need to dispense with the dictate of the military. We need to understand the law, appreciate the law, embrace the law, accommodate the law and act in accordance with the law. Which law? Definitely, we do not mean the generally present day primitive law. We mean a fresh legal norm dictated by real and uncorrupted democracy. In this regard, we believe registration of confraternities would amount to an inalienable right of association. We demand practical moral courage from the government and the society in general. We reiterate that any attempt or move to seek the demise of confraternities in the higher institution is a defeatist agenda. Signed……… .The first…The only…….The rightful owners and Occupants of the SKY..…......ata . |

My bothers it touches my hart to send this message across u all that are cult members. I tried to search the history of in Nigeria and how it starts. I first visited the pirate confraternity web site .on the site I read the history and the reason why it was formed by Wole and other 6 men. The pirate claim to be fighting against the cornelian masters and for the right of the citizens. It sounds right ,I agreed but what I saw on the site made me to disagree. I saw 7 men standing one holding a poster of a skull the rest was looking haggard with swords .Does that shows a sign of peace or violence .They all looks intimidating and wicked if I may put it this way. They went ahead to bear the name pirate ,sea robbers ,reckless men .it was built on a military from. The motto Orders is Orders ,sounds hard and mean .I would have prepare ,[united we Stand]And many of them started going by different bad names to intimidate other students e.g. Ahoy -Captain blood ,Ahoy Dragon of the high sea. Ahoy killer. All this name doesn’t sound good. From the same group of another set of hoodllums jumped out and said they are buccaneer and that they are have the same objective with the Pirate. The question is do they have the same objective and the Buccaneers broke out? This, I call the genesis of enmity between Nigeria school confraternity. Pirate confraternity will never be happy with their members that split out and so the so called Buccaneers won’t be happy with them. The Buccaneer ,said it no prise no pay .What are you prising and what are you paying for? that motto ,motivates violence ,one of their exco name is [kms] which means killer and maker of soul ,is he God? All this are call for violence .The buccaneer sign which is skull and two cross bones and two daggers that is dripping blood means what? The answer is Violence. In 1974 another group of bandicts pumped out from the eastern part of Nigeria known as the supreme Vikings confraternity ,after the Nigeria civil war. On a motive to revote against any other military war in the country ,like they claim. Turns out to be deadly and very violence .That they claim to stand against the military, tells that it was built to be a warship. They have their motto blood for blood ,is a call for chaos . Early 70s another group of tribalist came out from the west known as the eyie ,the claim to be sport loving men in school but, it`s a tribal Confraternity built to intimidate the none Yoruba students in school and for the westerns not to loose the student union political post. Early 80s A group known as NBM Neo black men movement aka black axe[ayes] was form in Edo, on a claim that they are fighting for black race. I disagree, they are not ,it was formed by some group of nonchalant students who felt that they can’t stand intimidation from other cult members ,eg Pirate ,Buccaneers and Mafia. That NBM use the word “go into the world and cause problem for ur brother must surely die” proofs their motives wrong. And they are one of the deadly and the most violence cult in Nigeria today. The politicians have taking cult to the peak, the police have made it a business zone, where they trade their guns and bullet ,The founders have over look their cankerworm ,the government don’t think is a problem. The Government should be care over this issues ,because the future of Nigeria is in jeopardy . The founders of these cults are still alive and that they are alive is the only chance Nigerian`s still have to stop or control it. They are the only people that will call this young men to order because they are been seen as god fathers .These young men will not listen to any other person apart from these people. My bothers if you know the one you form please try and call them to order. Obasanjo can not call them to order ,even pope John Paul. Please! For seek the of our grate Nigeria and her future let all hands be on deck to face this, To fight this boys hard is not the right way. Let the men who gave them the orientation, try to reorient ate them. Only he who locks the door can unlock it!!. Let Make a change. } |
