Is it just me or, do JW's only traverse the bus stops and, Mormons only go to people's homes? The strange reason for the question, is because, I have never had the pleasure of being able to berate a JW at my home, only at bus stops. With Mormons, they have come to door. When they have come to the door, I treated them like, showing a dog his/her food but, not giving it to him/her.

When you treat a JW in a rude manner, all you do is make them more secure. You see, their attitude is "Jesus was persecuted, he said his folloers would be persecuted, ans since this is a form of persecution, that proves we have the truth."

JW's come to homes more than the Mormons. If a JW should appear, invite them in, listen to them, and share Jesus.

Amen,I invite them in too. But they don't stay long-as soon as they see I have something for them (Jesus) and they have nothing for me.

In rural areas, most JWs must knock on doors; in the cities they can "witness" on street corners, bus stations, etc. Since a JW will generally leave when they see that you actually know something about the Bible and are able to refute their errors, one way of getting the Christian Gospel across to them is the tactic used by the late Walter Martin: Tell them you never discuss the Bible unless you pray first, then immediately bow your head and pray. You can even address God as Jehovah (then they will have to listen). For a Christian, incorporate the entire Gospel into the prayer! Since you are praying to Jehovah, they will at least have to respect you.

Jehovah's Witnesses usually witness door to door, but in cities may hang out in areas where they can reach a good number of people. Remember, they have to give so much literature away, and each time they do it's a "placement." Also, a good way to reach Jehovah's Witnesses was a tactic used by the late Dr. Walter Martin. As you may know, as soon as a Witness knows that you are familiar with the Bible and are able to defend central Christian doctrines against their error (i.e., that Jesus in the Archangel Michael; only 144,000 anointed people go to heaven; etc.), they will generally leave.

What you can do when confronted with them is to say that you never discuss the Bible apart from prayer, and immediately bow your head and pray, addressing God as Jehovah (that way they have to listen to you). You can incorporate the entire plan of salvation by grace through faith in Christ in your prayer, emphasizing the need to be born-again (according to JWs only the 144,000 are born-again). Perhaps the Witness will get just a little bit of truth from your prayer. The Witness will tell you that the Society has the Truth, but all they are is false prophets.

After praying, you could go on to the dismal prophetic record of the "Society," which claims to be God's mouthpiece. Ask them why the Old Testament Princes did not return in 1925 to occupy Beth Sarim? If they don't know what that is, refer them to this:
