All confraternitiies want peace on the ground, on the seas, in the air, in the plantation, on the decks etc. It is time that we put hands together in a genuine quest for an end to all this bickering and killing. It takes a matured mind to understand and there are many who have articulated a good understanding of the problem. Lets get this thing off the ground |

I wholly support the idea of finding a genuine solution and I will be willing to devote some time and effort to make this work. We have been talking about this sporadicly on this board but nothing has been done. Its high time we got our acts together and see this through. |

It is indeed time for action and only the bold and sure need take part. The journey surely is rough and not all will make it, but it is a task that is worth it if only to show the young that there is a future. I believe that the minds on this board can make a difference even if they are not part of their National organisations. We have everything to lose in staying inactive |

We have rugged names and we believe in ourselves. A common purpose is surely more important. |

The postings that have begun to be posted on these pages just recently show the size of the task ahead. Axemen, Eiye, Buccanners, Maphites, Vikings etc all killing eachother. The nations youth are killing each other in the name of what they do not understand. We need to show that we can live together and that there is a life beyond the campus and a real chance to make it in the world. Lets sit down and talk, start something! Many have tried before us but, lets do something that can stand the test of time |

Yes let us talk first not shoot first.or better still not shoot at all. Can we identify the forces that lead to this violence? surely it would be necessary to investigate the causes inorder to have a meaningful discusion and eventualy a remedy. Some of the more general causes like ,unemployemnt of the youth, bad state of the universities, poverty and frustration, influence of politics and politicians, the IM or connections syndrome, constant strickes and general unrest, etc these can be atributed to society in general and government in particular. we can forget about these for the mean time and think about more specific causes concerning the structure of the fraternities themselves. For one thing, alot of fraternities need to realy get a more strictly regulated recruitment policy, which should include an interview, not carried out by night. this is to prevent recruitment of undesirable elements. the recruitment and interview should be done by graduates of the fraternity to ensure the standard of recruitment. This is why I feel it is not good for frats like BAN and PC to claim that they are not in schools ,whereas everybody knows that they are.they are thereby not able to control the recruitment because they deny that there is any going on. instead since they are registerd organisations, they should take charge of the initiations and recruitment and do them openly and legaly in the anchorpoints, just as other fraternities all over the world do their own. these members would now be like novices or aspiring fratmen until the day they graduate when they will now be accepted into the main graduate body. by so doing the frats will also have been partly demistyfied. By standardising the intelectual and moral level of intakes into fraternities a lot will have been done.only the national bodies of all frats can enforce this in their frats. ofcourse that still leaves the problem of some frats like the baggers because (correct me if I am wrong) they actualy have looting and violence as part os their code and principles. Nevertheless we need to also educate and enlighten our brothers in the schools and not deny that they dont exist. this lack of education is a main part of the problem. but we cant educate them when we say "we are not in the schools". Another thing we need to do to prevent sporadic outbursts of violence is to BLACKSPOT all known trouble makers and bad eggs in our respective frats. most time we know those guys that are the repeat offenders at instigating and initiating violence. people like the anonymous axeman that has been writing stupid threat letters should be dealt with and blackspoted if identified. please Gentelmen feel free to guide me where I err and to point out important things I would have overlooked but I think these few points will be a first step to consider |

as to the idea of inter-confra talks I fully support the idea.We should have a common platform to discuss, not just on the internet. Infact the ideal situation would be for all frats to come together and form a political party.that would solve the problem cos if we dont kill ourselves off in that then we will be united for good:-) |

My people pls take time to read this. I am not hear to criticise anyone I am only hear to give my opinion and I hope that God will touch the Heart of those who read this. I dont no if people actually derive some form gratification and amusement from the sporadic killings that occur on our campuses. It is very sad to hear about such deaths. Why cant these various group on campus be proud of being a group of people that are known as intellectuals rather than being rugged. Why not be proud of being the best in terms of being successful in life and also help towards the growth and development of the country. Take a moment and think about this. these killing are they good examples we are setting for the younger generation? I dont think so. I no that some people have lost their lives and others are trying to bring justice ....but by taking laws into your hands does not solve anything also violence does not solve the problem instead it only causes more harm and more lives are lost. "Also remeber if u sow evil then u shall reap evil" u cant avoid that!!!! I am pleading on behalf of those who have lost some one dear to them due to clashes by various groups on campus....Pls take a moment and ask ur self is this what i really want?....Why am i doing this?........how can i make a positive change?......May God bless you all |

The fact is all cofras have elements of indicipline within their ranks and these indisciplined ones are those that need to be cautioned and if possible expelled. If we all condone indiscipline, then we will only attract these types of people when we come to recruit and thus the circle continues. It also seems to me (correct me if I am wrong) but many of the so called "National Associations" are there just in name and have no structure or sence of organisation or real sense of purpose. There are only three that I see really working and trying to make a difference. Whats up with the rest of y'all. This is meant to be a challenge to get yourselves together with purpose not just in name. Meetings are supposed to be for a purpose not an excuse for a drink up! No be yabbis oh na to make una think! |

Reality of the situation today across our Uniersities. My guess is probably Eiye. If I get any info you will be the first to know. pcnemesis http://odili.net/news/source/2004/mar/13/216.html Premier Hotel Robbery: The Raid at Dusk By Dele Agekameh -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For 42 years, the imposing edifice had stood in solitary confinement, on top of Mokola Hill, looking innocently down on the city of Ibadan. Except for the noise of screeching cars as they empty their passengers in front of the entrance to the building, the atmosphere around the building has always been quiet and serene. Welcome to Premier Hotel, easily the oldest, biggest five-star hotel in the whole city of Ibadan. A good number of big events drawing attendants from the galaxy of who's who in Nigeria and beyond had been held there. At one time or another, the hotel provided accommodation for visiting heads of government, federal and state government officials, top businessmen, captains of industries as well as the high and mighty from all walks of life. The day was Sunday, February 22 2004. In the morning of that innocent day, the hotel had played host to religious groups who hold regular worships there. In the afternoon, other guests trooped in for lunch or to swim in the expansive hotel swimming pool. Many others came to have one or two drinks at the bar located at the ground floor of the hotel. So it was business as usual. It was also fun for the guests. But not even a single person within the complex had any premonition of what was to come later in the day. By 7pm, darkness had descended on the entire city of Ibadan, the hotel premises inclusive. More guests were now pouring into the hotel either to secure accommodation for the night or have dinner in the main restaurant or the Chinese restaurant located at the approach to the main entrance of the hotel. By 8pm, the Chinese restaurant was filled to capacity with guests eating and drinking, oblivious of the danger that was hovering around the hotel like the proverbial sword of Damocles. Shortly after 8.p.m, a group of young men sneaked into the hotel premises under the cover of darkness. Investigations revealed that the men, in their late 20s, came on motorbikes popularly known as Okada from two directions. Some came through the Total Garden-Secretariat axis, while the others rode in from the Mokola axis. Apparently, it was clear that the invading gangs, numbering no fewer than 11, had done a lot of reconnaissance in the hotel days before the D-day. The first group disembarked at the approach to the hotel and moved into the hotel area on foot. The armourer of the group, it was also learnt, had planted himself within the vicinity of the hotel with a big travelling bag stuffed with sophisticated weapons. He was sitting under one of the trees at the car park pretending to be waiting for someone who was coming to check into the hotel for the night. Occasionally, the armourer, who was said to have infiltrated the hotel well ahead of his group, was intermittently pacing up and down at the car park with a stick of cigarette dangling from his lips. He was restless as he was anxiously waiting for the appointed hour to swoop on the hotel. He was also carefully monitoring the movement of guests in and out of the hotel. When he thought it was time to strike, he got in touch with his group through a cellphone he had on him. By 8.35pm, all the members of the gang had converged on the hotel premises. From their vantage position, they perfected their movement and fanned out in groups. One group of three went inside the Chinese restaurant, another group of five moved into the hotel lobby, while the rest stood sentry outside the hotel to ward off any likely 'intruders' as the operation progressed. The group which went into the Chinese restaurant ordered everyone present to empty their pockets of any valuables such as money, handsets or jewelleries and lie face down. One of the guests who could not believe what he had just heard, stood still, looking blank. Two of the marauders stepped forward with cellophane bags to cart away their loot. But before then, one of them hit the bewildered man with the butt of the gun, thereby forcing him to prostrate on the floor. While the two were ransacking the guests, searching their pockets and everywhere, including the restaurant's vaults, one of them stood at the entrance of the restaurant with a gun in his hand waiting for any eventuality. Obviously, while the Chinese restaurant's operation was going on, another operation was simultaneously taking place at the lobby. Two of the five marauders had started the operation at the lobby by posing as intending lodgers. At the time they got to the front office, a guest was just checking in. They equally approached the counter and stood side by side with the guest. They concealed their intention by engaging the guest and the front office staff who was attending to the guest in a discussion. They even went as far as cracking jokes with those they met there. This way, they carefully avoided any form of suspicion. As soon as the guest finished paying for his accommodation and a porter was called to lead him to his apartment, the marauders brought out their guns and announced to those present that they were indeed armed robbers. By this time, the three others had taken positions at the expansive lobby of the hotel's ground floor. At gunpoint, they ordered the cashier at the front office to surrender all the money in his possession. The two men, who few minutes ago were very friendly and cracking jokes had changed countenance, barking out orders in rapid succession at the helpless staff and guests at the hotel. They quickly emptied the cashier's vault at the front office and then ordered the receptionist to lead them to the rooms. They started at the first floor. They compelled the receptionist, who had been held hostage, to knock on individual guest doors that were ignorantly opened by the guests, thereby giving the robbers access to the rooms. Once in the room, the marauders' targets include money, jewellery, handsets and other valuables. While the room-to-room search was going on, the men of the underworld also maintained a strong presence at the lobby of the hotel. By this time, those who went to the Chinese restaurant had joined their colleagues at the lobby. Those who were at the bar were captured one after another as they made attempts to go out. The marauders then ordered everybody in the restaurant and bar to come to the lobby and lie face down. One particular guest who made attempt to raise up his head to look at the invaders was beaten black and blue. He ended up with swollen lips and face. Similarly, an American, a huge tall man, who, it was learnt, was one of the engineers from the overseas partners of Oodua conglomerate who had come along with others for the formal launching of Odu'a Telecoms (Odu'a TEL) on Tuesday, February, 17 2004, was severely manhandled by the robbers. He has since fled the country with a promise never to return. One other victim was Justice Bolaji Yusuf, a judge with the Oyo State High Court. She was attacked along with Abidemi Yusuf, his brother in-law, and Jane, his English wife. Abidemi and Jane, who were on holidays in Nigeria, had gone to the hotel that evening in company of the judge and six children. The couple lost N110,000 cash as well as 1,200 and $300 in travellers' cheque to the marauders. In addition, Jane lost a necklace worth N8,000 and other travelling documents. The judge, wife of a serving customs officer, who had taken her guests to the hotel for a send-forth also lost N15,000, her gold ear-rings and necklace in the attack. Other items forcefully removed from their owners by the gang include gold wristwatches, laptops, hard currencies and other valuables. However, luck ran out for the robbers when the police got wind of the attack. The police were alerted by workers of the hotel on night duty who had reported for work only to be turned back by stern-looking, gun-wielding marauders who were keeping vigil at the hotel lobby. The terrified workers ran to the nearby Mokola police station to lodge a complaint. By the time they got there, they met some Chinese and others who had escaped from the robbers' onslaught. They were also there to alert the police. At the Mokola police station, the complainants met Muyidi Ogunrin, the divisional police officer, DPO of Mokola division, who had just eight days left for him to retire from the police force after serving for 35 years. For Ogunrin, it was one other chance for him to prove himself as a competent police officer. Initially, he was jolted by the news. The reason being that for several years as a police officer in Ibadan and DPO in Mokola police division, within whose jurisdiction lies the prestigious Premier Hotel, he had never heard of any such thing happening at the hotel. But his tough mien quickly replaced his astonishment. He immediately swung into action. Ogunrin personally led two patrol vehicles - one robot 22 and patrol 22 - each carrying five men. Robot is the name given to a quick intervention police patrol vehicle carrying a strike force in the event of a serious operation such as the launching of an assault on the marauders who invaded Premier Hotel. As the two siren-blaring vehicles approached the hotel, the robbers sensed danger. They realised the game was up. They needed to do something fast. This reporter learnt that the blaring of siren by the police when going for an operation such as this is a sort of protective strategy as recently directed by Felix Oghaudu, the Oyo State commissioner of police. The trick is that once the marauders hear the siren they will be overwhelmed with fear and therefore halt their menace while the police move in to dislodge them. It is a ploy borrowed from the American system whereby police vehicles will race to the scene of a crime with revolving lights and sirens. Ogbaudu must have understood this strategy well. With more than two decades of experience as an officer in the Criminal Investigation Department, CID of the police in his kitty, he surely knows what strategy means in crime bursting. His last posting as a CID officer was at the annex of the force Criminal Investigation Department, FCID, in Lagos. Then he was a deputy commissioner of police directly under the now retired assistant inspector general of the police, AIG, Ojomo. Ogbaudu, it was, who took over the investigation into Bola Ige's murder after the sudden retirement of Ojomo. He was at Alagbon Close in Lagos before he was posted to Gombe State as police commissioner. It was from Gombe State that he was again posted to Oyo State Police Command at a time armed robbers seem to be gaining upper hand in Ibadan in particular and Oyo State in general. As the convoy of two vehicles moved closer to the imposing hotel building, they came under heavy burst of gun fire from the men of the underworld. Unfortunately, for the marauders and fortunately for Ogunrin and his team, the police were at an advantage. This is because the hotel is situated on top of a hill. This made it easy for the police team to take cover at vantage positions overlooking the hotel. With the ceaseless staccato of fire from the robbers, which compelled the police to take cover, Ogunrin knew that a difficult task was ahead. He knew he needed to move fast to minimise casualty, and at the same time over-power the marauders with superior firepower. Therefore, Ogunrin called for reinforcement from neighbouring police formations. In a jiffy, these came in from several police divisions, including Agodi, Sango, Eleiyele - Patrols 18, 13 and 6. There was also a back-up of Robot 21 from Iyaganku division. To underscore the seriousness of the situation, all the police teams were led by superior police officers. The police operation lasted more than two hours. This is because initially, the police did not know the robbers and so they had to be careful so as not to incur innocent casualties. The policemen were finally able to determine their position through the direction of the burst of gun fire. With more than 30 policemen on the offensive, the marauders knew that they stood no chance. Before this time, they had snatched an L-300 bus which brought some guests to the hotel. The marauders, loaded their loot inside the bus before Ogunrin and his men arrived the scene, but were subsequently, forced to abandon the bus and their loot. When it became clear to the robbers that the police were gaining the upper hand and advancing in all directions towards the hotel, the robbers abandoned their positions and fled through the thick forest behind the swimming pool located at the back of the hotel building. But that was not before the police succeeded in gunning one of the robbers down and securing the hotel. A mop-up operation followed as the police team started screening those who were found in the hotel to ascertain that none of the marauders had mingled with the guests and staff of the hotel. The police also combed the hotel premises for possible clue or to fish out any marauder in hiding. After an exhaustive search, the patrol teams left the hotel, leaving behind some of their men to keep surveillance on the area throughout the night. The following morning, one of the robbers was spotted in the thick forest at the back of the hotel's swimming pool area. It was discovered that the robber sustained a serious fracture when he jumped over the tall fence of the hotel. The fracture demobilised him and so he could not run away but he managed to crawl to a place he thought was safe for hiding until the heat died down. The unlucky robber was used as a bait for the arrest of other members of the gang. It was learnt that the police found a cell phone with the robber, and consequently asked him to put a call through to one of their members. The instruction was that he should lure him to the spot by telling him his (robber's) predicament and the need to evacuate him on time. The robber complied. And the trick worked out. Moments after the phoney call was made, his comrade-in-crime rode on a motorbike to the spot. He looked everywhere. Satisfied that no strange person was around, he moved towards his injured colleague who had signalled to him by raising up his hands, pretending that he was in distress. After a few measured steps, the policemen emerged from nowhere and ordered him not to move an inch anymore. He could not believe what he heard. He stood still, waiting for the worst. The police moved in quickly and effected his arrest. The police then obtained information from the captured robber on the whereabout of the gang leader. The address of the gang leader's girlfriend was supplied to the police. The assurance given to the police was that the gang leader was always with his girlfriend at Ago-Shasha area of Ojoo, in Ibadan. When the police got there, they met only the girlfriend who admitted knowing the man, but that she did not know him as a robber. She was made to escort the police to his real house in another part of the city. When they got to the house, the lady was kept inside the police vehicle while the detectives alighted and moved towards the building. They went straight to the door of the gang leader's apartment and kicked it open. The suspect was right there. He knew the end had come, so he made a last-minute spirited attempt to escape. With the advantage of his huge frame, he wrestled the first detective to the ground. He then made an attempt to scale the fence, but another detective grabbed one of his legs. He was dragged down. A struggle then ensued between the detective and the suspect. During the struggle, the suspect tried to disarm the detective without success. At the end, the suspect was shot in the thigh, and that forced him to abandon the struggle. This initial obstacle to the arrest was thus overcome. But there was yet another. The police did not come with handcuffs. At any rate, they searched the suspect's room and found some weapons. Still, there was no rope. The police simply took the suspect's towel, tore it into shreds and use-the pieces to tie his hands behind his back before taking him away to the station. By police records, two of the robbers are dead while four others have so far been arrested and are undergoing investigations. Those undergoing investigations are now at the anti-robbery section of the state CID, Iyaganku, Ibadan. The police are still on the trail of other members of the gang now at large. In the wake of the Premier Hotel robbery incident, the Oyo State Police Command has put in place a number of measures aimed at making its operation more effective and to curtail the activities of cultists and militant groups in the state. At a meeting held on Wednesday, February 25, 2004, which was attended by senior officers of the command, it was agreed that each police division should raise a unit that will be on standby at any point in time. In addition, the number of station guards are to be increased, as against the present practice whereby only one person is always on guard at police stations. The officers in attendance were also advised on the need to properly educate their men to appreciate situations before relaying radio messages so as not to cause unnecessary heat in the system. From now onward, the command agreed to intensify their raids on vulnerable points and dark spots as already identified and may be identified from time to time. Generally, the command agreed on the need to appraise and re-appraise its response mechanism to distress calls so as to be able to nip crimes, especially violent ones, in the bud. It could be recalled that as soon as the present CP assumed duties in Ibadan, he ordered the raid of black spots in the city of Ibadan. Among the areas raided was the Sabo (Hausa settlement) area of the city, notorious for all forms of crime as well as the haven of receivers of stolen goods. This singular raid yielded dividends as many criminals were apprehended in the process. It was an unprecedented raid carried out in an enclave otherwise regarded as a no-go area for the police in Ibadan. Since then the police have intensified patrols in the area. When this reporter visited the CID headquarters at Iyaganku on Friday, February 27, Olatunji Caulcrick, an assistant commissioner of police in charge of the state CID was not around. It was reliably learnt that the CID boss has just been appointed police adviser to the United Nations on Afghanistan. Similarly, his second in command was said to have travelled to Isoko, Delta State to attend the burial of the father of Force Police Public Relations Officer, Chris Olakpe, a deputy commissioner of police. However, an impeccable source disclosed that those who carried out the Premier operations were student cultists from both The Polytechnic, Ibadan and the University of Ibadan. They were said to be members of a particular secret cult that had been terrorising innocent students in the past. They were also said to have engaged in snatching handsets at several points within the Polytechnic and its environs at gunpoint in recent time. Recently, the police in Ibadan intercepted some student cultists who were in possession of several arms and ammunition. They were arrested and the case is now in court. As a fall-out of the robbery at Premier Hotel, a good number of representatives from Odu'a's foreign partners who came to the country on a tour of Odu'a conglomerates are said to be holed up in Lagos. All the engagements that have been lined up for them, which would have made them to stay at Premier Hotel, have suffered serious setback as none of them is said to be willing to risk it. They are simply scared stiff. This accounts for why the management of Odu'a group has been trying to blackout the report of the incident, given the negative effect it could have on the fortunes of the prestigious five-star hotel. They have also prevailed on the police not to let out information on the robbery incident. Besides, Rashidi Ladoja, the governor of Oyo State, who by implication is the number one security officer of the state, has also been trying all in his powers to play down the incident. Since the incident occurred, he has been holding several meetings with security chiefs in the state on ways to ensure damage control over the incident. To this end, the special adviser to the governor on security matters, simply called Alphonsus, has been going round media houses and security formations to ensure that the news of the attack does not get out. Meanwhile, Ogunrin, the man who led the assault on the cultist-robbers at the Premier Hotel, formally retired on March 1. He handed over the baton of leadership to a woman police officer, Mrs Akinfeyiwa, a superintendent of police and an alumni of the University of Ibadan who now becomes the DPO of Mokola division of the Oyo State Police Command. By and large, the robbery incident is likely to have far-reaching negative effect on the fortunes of the hotel in particular, the state government and the entire country in general. This is because the new investment drive by the state and federal governments may not attract needed response from foreign investors who may feel that their security cannot be guaranteed. Apart from the fact that an investment forum took place at the hotel the very week it was attacked, any future forum may be boycotted by foreign investors as news of the robbery incident filters into their countries. This is plausible because some of the victims of the attack were Americans and Europeans, who had attended the investment forum in the hotel but were yet to leave for their respective countries. But, Jane, a Briton married to a Nigerian who was one of the victims of the attack, has vowed to open up to the press as soon as she gets back to base. In a recent interview with a weekly newsmagazine, she said: "Once I get home, I should tell all the U.K newspapers about what happened." She did not stop there. According to her, "I actually deal in property abroad and stay in Florida. It was my hope to persuade my colleagues in Spain and America - builders and investors - to come and do an exhibition with me in Nigeria at Nicon-Hilton, Abuja. But I am going to think twice now because the incident has put me off." Jane's threat cannot be dismissed with a wave of the hand. The management of Premier Hotel is surely aware of this. This fear had been expressed by the management as far back as September 2003. On September 12, 2003, Bola Jaiyeola, the managing director of Premier Hotel told travel writers in a meeting at the hotel that "tourism is a money spinner all over the world." But Jaiyeola noted that the issues affecting tourism in Nigeria today were those of enabling environment. According to him, "the industry cannot operate efficiently and effectively if the issues of roads, water, electricity and security are not tackled." Now Jaiyeola's fears were confirmed right under his nose. However, the recent armed attack on Premier Hotel by cultists was not an isolated case. A11 over Nigeria's tertiary institutions, cultists daily inject innocent people with regular doses of fear and trepidation. In all the cases, the common denominators are violence, maiming, killing and the resultant wanton loss of lives and properties. Even President Olusegun Obasanjo's declaration, years back, that he would fight cultism to a standstill has not held much water. If anything, it has remained a mere lip service. The prevailing fear is that the menace is getting out of hands. As it stands today, things are not likely to be the same again with Premier Hotel. May be, only time, the healer of all wounds, will determine its future in business. Agekameh is a Former Senior Associate Editor, TELL Magazine |

Eh be like say this new phenomenom of making the IP address visible don paralyse many people finger to post messages. I am sure that the board will be better for it. Every one will now think before they post anything here as all postings can be traced It is not an offence either criminal or civil to be a registered member of a registered organisation. So many do not need to fear as far as you have not been convicted or are not sought for a criminal offence. I am aware of the registration of the big three in Nigeria, what these organisations also need to do is regsiter with the authorities if they are operating outside of Nigeria (so they are not associated with terrorism). The rest? GO AND REGISTER NOW if you are not already registered, or make sure that your registration is up to date. Most organisations have declared that they do not have student members to dissasociate themselves from the violence that have become a daily occurence on the campus, the bad news is it is spilling out of the campusses into our main cities. So we all have to sit up, take note and try and address the situation in the campusses. The worst case scenario is that we may be celebrating a wedding, attending a funeral etc and a squad of people may be plotting to attend with the intention to commit murder or mayhem. We all have a part to play both in the Nigerian society and the only way we can achieve our goals is to work together. pcnemesis |

Hi Everyone, To my own point of view, the objections for the founding of confraternity in higher institutions, were not for killing and brutalizing innocent and weak ones in th campus but it was formed to bring students in the higher institution together. The people that started this did carried out their objections but when young and naive students started intering the confraternity they used it as a tool for intimidation and. |

People, we all need to achieve peace. The following bye words can guide us: RESPECT: We need to have respect for each other, our upbringing teaches us to respect family and one another. We also need to respect other groups. We think that we are supreme, but supremacy remains the one with the biggest gun. Let us use brain work and realise that the pen (or brain) is mightier than the gun FORGIVENESS: We need not look at the little things. One person look you one way then you go pursue am reach the end of the earth. Some things are not worth even worrying about. Rather worry about the one wey no fit chop. After all you no go slap every small boy when give you abuse (old man when play with small girl deserve the abuse when him get) EVEN THE WORST HAVE GOOD Even those whom we think have no redeeming policies have good and those that look saintly have skeletons. Look the board, even Vikings and Axemen dey say ... give peace a chance, oya Buca and PC show what maturity you have. Maphite, Klansmen show what you are made of. Come oh! I never hear from any Black beret (aka 2:2). Where are you? Stand up and be counted WORK WITH THOSE YOU HAVE NEVER BEFORE Tufiaqua, how manage, over my dead body! My friend, there is a wave of peace breaking shore. Join now before you miss the bus. We all have stumbling blocks to working with certain groups, but we must overcome them for a greater tomorrow. TODAY IS TOMORROWS HISTORY we need to be brave enough to say I was there when peace broke out. Let us shame those that perpetuate violence. It is better to have tried and failed than not to have tried at all. Finally, no one group will achive this on their own, but we must shun those in our groups that resist this wave. Already there are Buccanners who take offence to the way that peace broke out in Benin. We cannot afford to bow to pressure. Our nations youth deserve this. BE BRAVE, STAND TALL pcnemesis |

Hi Guys I have to say that I commend PCNemesis and Samba for your efforts to try to sanitize our frats back home, especially on the campuses. When on campus as a rugged airlord, our creed was a powerful explanation of the ideals of the founding fathers of our frat, but the reality on our campus was abonimable. Same for all frats on the campus, bucs, pcs, ayes, and the rest. What gets to me is the wanton violence and unnecesary killings which have caused us to be despised by our fellow students. I left campus seven years ago but while on campus as a leader within my group, I tried to foster peace amongs the groups but I must say it was almost impossible. Maybe those of us who are out here in the real world can help this situation. I know loads of people who are dead today, whose mothers would never kmow the joy of seeing them getting married. Ruggedity is not stupidity. To all the rugged airlords, sealords, seadogs, axeman and maphites on our campuses remember you are on campus to get a degree. That is your primary assignment. Violence is not the answer. Fly Safe |

IT IS SO OBVIOUS THAT ONE WOULD NOT WANT IN LIFE TO EMPLOY SOMEONE THAT HE ACTUALLY KNOW VERY WELL AS THE KILLING MACHINE OF HIS PARTICULAR SYSTEM INTO A COMPANY THAT IS PRACTICALLY OWNED MY THE FATHER IN THE NAME OF BROTHERHOOD. SOME OF US WILL NOT REALLY UNDERSTAND BUT THAT IS JUST THE REAL AND GOSPEL TRUTH. POLITICIANS SHOULD ALSO NOT BE LEFT OUT IN THIS EVENT BECAUSE THERE WILL NEVER BE A TIME ODILI PETER HIMSELF WILL FRONT THE STREET WITH AN ORDINARY PISTOL JUST TO SEE THAT HE GETS BACK HIS PRESTEGIOUS OIL WELL SEAT. IT IS ONLY PEOPLE LIKE US THAT ARE DULY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE KILLINGS OF OUR OWN FATHERS LIKE THE HARRY'S AND OTHERS. CULTISM SHOULD GROW, IS MY CONTRIBUTION NOW AND ALWAYS. BUT SHOULD BE ON THINGS LIKE THE MANUFACTURING OF AIR PLANES AND MAKING IT A SECRET JUST TO KEEP THE PROFIT THAT COMES OUT OF IT TO YOURSELF AND YOUR BROTHERHOOD. MY BROTHERS AND EVEN SISTERS OF THIS BELOVED COUNTRY, I DID THIS TO TELL YOU THE TYPE OF INDIVIDUALS THAT BB(22) PRODUCE. I READ AN ARTICLE BY SAMBA THAT SAYS THAT THE 22s DON'T TALK. MAYBE HE FEELS THAT THE ONLY THING THEY CAN DO IS JUST KILL BUT HE SHOULD TRY AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE LET THAT CAT OUT OF HIS MIND TODAY WHICH IS LOVELY TO BE A SUNDAY. |

pcnemesis is back after a brief absence. I would like to reiterate the message that violence has to be stamped out and communication is the only way to ensure that this happens. I once heard the view that only when we start shouting at each other will the guns stop shooting. However we communicate, we need to respect each other, understand the problem each has and not let petty ideas and events cloud the vision. The agreement signed by the Buccanners and Maphites on the 18th and 20th of March 2004 is being expanded to allow a larger forum of different National bodies to meet in Benin to ratify the resolutions. This is a real attempt at ensuring that peace reigns and it is a cause that all with a concience must aid. It has begun, do not be left by the road side. pcnemesis |

Mr 22sALIVE, welcome to the fold, at last you break your silence, good to hear from you. The more we talk, the more we understand each other, the less we hate each other. Hopefully we can begin to make sense of what is happening in Eastern Nigeria between una, Buccanners and the Neo Black Movement. As for name, well that is what you are known as in the public, same as the Family Confraternity is known by some as Mafia and Neo Black Movement is still in some minds the Black Axe Mgbamba etc, the Brothers Across Nigeria- Buccaneers etc,etc... Let us know what you prefer to be called and we can make sure that you are addressed properly in the future. Join hands with those ensureing a rash of peace breaks out and we will all be better for it. See other pages for details of peace deal brokered last month. pcnemesis |

I cannot imagine the immaturity of some of you frat men. There's alot more to life than violence, i think you all just need a re-education, or should i say reorientation. and i'm refering to all frat men. Anyway Greetings to you all, be u an axeman, marphite, buka, airlord, kk, vikky and nuff respect to all the other frats that i didn't mention, i am a world airlord from the great oluyole . i'm currently resident in england, and i stumbled across this forum this morning, and to be honest i'm impressed with most of what i've read. i think we all need to come together to make confraternities a positive force in the society. we all know that the situation in Nigeria is depreciating by the minute, and we the educated and proven rugged ones that are supposed to fight for the rights of the masses are foolishly fighting amongst ourselves. Like rugged outlaw dawgg said confraternities in the civilised world are a force to reckon with, why can't we in Nigeria emulate such behaviour? We really need to get our priorities right, all those rugged men from the different frats whose lives were so foolishly cut short due to our inability to comprehend what is right from what is so terribly wrong, i'm sure you'll all agree that it was not worth the fuss. Guys, you are all highly rugged, lets test our wits like real men, lets stop the violence and start the reconstruction of all the confraternities. from there we can make Nigeria a better and greater nation than any of us can imagine. |

My fellow countrymen, It is a pity we have lost the dream of our fathers. Our fathers fought for a true Nigeria, a giant of Africa, but we lost the dream. We allowed some elements to use the hate in us to fuster this great nation into shame. This has been made possible by introducing frats in our campuses. Frat in total was made for the radical survival and tackelment of issue that students saw as injustice. In a civilized world higher institute of education is looked up as the strenght of a nation. Govt. do not just any policy out there if it will not be for the betterment of the nation, if there do there have a hand full of students protect to confront with. An example of student power being at force was the "Babagida/Abacha must go" campaign. I do not see such campaign of such structure ever coming again. My point is that the organization and structure that our students should use for the betterment of the nation is spent on frat violence. The cream of our students are carried away in violence, if we use the time spent in frat in organization of student bodies that will influence policy of our nation i.e. a watchdog, I think any polititian will think twice before seeking office. This watchdog can be so powerful that politician will even seek endosement and blessing from it. With the way we are going is not the way, my idea might not be the best, but any idea other than secret cult is better. Students need to weak up and realize the power within them. The ROVOLUTION MUST START FOR NIGERIA TO SURVIVE OR NIGERIA WILL DIE. To Be Continue... |

My bothers it touches my hart to send this message across u all that are cult members. I tried to search the history of in Nigeria and how it starts. I first visited the pirate confraternity web site .on the site I read the history and the reason why it was formed by Wole and other 6 men. The pirate claim to be fighting against the cornelian masters and for the right of the citizens. It sounds right ,I agreed but what I saw on the site made me to disagree. I saw 7 men standing one holding a poster of a skull the rest was looking haggard with swords .Does that shows a sign of peace or violence .They all looks intimidating and wicked if I may put it this way. They went ahead to bear the name pirate ,sea robbers ,reckless men .it was built on a military from. The motto Orders is Orders ,sounds hard and mean .I would have prepare ,[united we Stand]And many of them started going by different bad names to intimidate other students e.g. Ahoy -Captain blood ,Ahoy Dragon of the high sea. Ahoy killer. All this name doesn’t sound good. From the same group of another set of hoodllums jumped out and said they are buccaneer and that they are have the same objective with the Pirate. The question is do they have the same objective and the Buccaneers broke out? This, I call the genesis of enmity between Nigeria school confraternity. Pirate confraternity will never be happy with their members that split out and so the so called Buccaneers won’t be happy with them. The Buccaneer ,said it no prise no pay .What are you prising and what are you paying for? that motto ,motivates violence ,one of their exco name is [kms] which means killer and maker of soul ,is he God? All this are call for violence .The buccaneer sign which is skull and two cross bones and two daggers that is dripping blood means what? The answer is Violence. In 1974 another group of bandicts pumped out from the eastern part of Nigeria known as the supreme Vikings confraternity ,after the Nigeria civil war. On a motive to revote against any other military war in the country ,like they claim. Turns out to be deadly and very violence .That they claim to stand against the military, tells that it was built to be a warship. They have their motto blood for blood ,is a call for chaos . Early 70s another group of tribalist came out from the west known as the eyie ,the claim to be sport loving men in school but, it`s a tribal Confraternity built to intimidate the none Yoruba students in school and for the westerns not to loose the student union political post. Early 80s A group known as NBM Neo black men movement aka black axe[ayes] was form in Edo, on a claim that they are fighting for black race. I disagree, they are not ,it was formed by some group of nonchalant students who felt that they can’t stand intimidation from other cult members ,eg Pirate ,Buccaneers and Mafia. That NBM use the word “go into the world and cause problem for ur brother must surely die” proofs their motives wrong. And they are one of the deadly and the most violence cult in Nigeria today. The politicians have taking cult to the peak, the police have made it a business zone, where they trade their guns and bullet ,The founders have over look their cankerworm ,the government don’t think is a problem. The Government should be care over this issues ,because the future of Nigeria is in jeopardy . The founders of these cults are still alive and that they are alive is the only chance Nigerian`s still have to stop or control it. They are the only people that will call this young men to order because they are been seen as god fathers .These young men will not listen to any other person apart from these people. My bothers if you know the one you form please try and call them to order. Obasanjo can not call them to order ,even pope John Paul. Please! For seek the of our grate Nigeria and her future let all hands be on deck to face this, To fight this boys hard is not the right way. Let the men who gave them the orientation, try to reorient ate them. Only he who locks the door can unlock it!!. Let Make a change. } |

The Nantional association of Nigerian confraternities{NANC} .This is an association that have been working hard for peace in Nigeria and also for the stablity of Nigeria government for two years now. We are asking the law inforcement to arrest any group of people or hoodlums that are operating themsleves as confraternity or social group known as Delta house or family. we are working on how to get rid of gangs in Nigerian schools and some group people are trying to form more cults. These are men with out motive. We the memebers of national association of Nigeria confraternities ,here by advice the politians who are behind this to put a stop to it ,we know the politians that are doing all these .They are also thesame poeple who cause chaos in Anambra state. We are warning those that are causing problem in Anambra and other states in Nigeria to put a stop to that.If we fight aganist these evil men reisitance is furtile! I Mr JO_JO and the Klan’s man I believe in what both of you have just said. The recruitment of different people to in confraternity have cause lot of harm to confra hood. [1] ignorant ,frustration ,and juvenile delinquency added with the bad government which have jeopardized the faith of every Nigeria youth.I Think we should put eye more on this area. Is time Nigeria confraternities will be reform, There should be a specific age for men to belong to confra.I ve come across different men from different cofra. Many Today regrets their act ,due to it was out of juvenile and Ignorant. Now they have grown of age the miss take has been done and is hard to correct because there is no replay in real life. The government cry out their crocodile tears every day, while they are the struck that breaks the camels back. How many student died on election campaign ?Many politicians contributes a lot on confra wars .Klan’s man you called them the upper powers ,that you have to hide to fight them. No! That country belongs to each and every one of us, Beside most of the people on the government now messing the country up don’t even no what people ,like Zik, Awo and Abubakar saw before the name Nigeria was approved {Independent} .Now they have turn it to a war zone ,where the common man can not even see food to eat nor water to drink. My brother, remember that Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, Steve Biko and Nelson Mandela, most of these men died that we may have our right, That we may live as one .why should we stay and watch politicians and ex-Army men loot, and destroy our country. Klan’s Man is true they have power but don’t forget that if we can unite together we will move mountain. Karl max said “revolt! “ when government turns to be tyrants . God bless Nigeria. |
