The problems today stems from the fact that many of these confraternities (I will not call them cults) have decided nobly to withdraw from campuses in public but in reality have not. The PC say they withdrew from campuses in July 1984 http://www.nas-int.org/history.html If they did why then were they sailing around the 'Jolly roger deck-UI' upto 1988 in broad daylight with thier Capoon standing atop a flat bed trailer painted with thier logo, in full regalia. And why was this flatbed trailer parked in the maintainance department of UI upto this time four years later? The Buccanners claim to have submerged all decks starting in 1982: http://www.alorasealords.com/history.html Why then at their National convention in 1986 were they sallying on the rocky outcrop on the grass opposite Queens hall in their modaship deck-UI. Come to think of it why were they at war with Axemen in Offa in December 2003? Are they still in the process of pulling out since 1982? The Eiye confraternity claims to have suspended all activity on the campuses as from 9/8/1999 http://www.eiye.org/first%20article.htm Why then are they implicated in many murders on campuses , specifically in Abeokuta, Ibadan, Lagos and In Edo and Delta states The maphites claim only to consist of graduate members http://www.maphites.com/history.htm What then happened between them and Ayes in Delsu Ekpoma The Neo-Black Movement say that they have dissolved all campus activities (Guardian and Champion Newspapers April 1998) Why then are they at war with Vikings in UniPort? As for Klansmen Konfraternity, a group that can name their officers Ave Totorepairer (Chief piper) http://kk.batcave.net/KKblaze$.html It only beggars belief what thier mission is about and what kind of people are involved! If we are judging by actions and not by name fine there are at least 4 examples of actions but you chose to critisize the one that was least serious. By the way many you did choose to respond to the first anonymous posting, never argue with a fool......... My people pls take time to read this. I am not hear to criticise anyone I am only hear to give my opinion and I hope that God will touch the Heart of those who read this. I dont no if people actually derive some form gratification and amusement from the sporadic killings that occur on our campuses. It is very sad to hear about such deaths. Why cant these various group on campus be proud of being a group of people that are known as intellectuals rather than being rugged. Why not be proud of being the best in terms of being successful in life and also help towards the growth and development of the country. Take a moment and think about this. these killing are they good examples we are setting for the younger generation? I dont think so. I no that some people have lost their lives and others are trying to bring justice ....but by taking laws into your hands does not solve anything also violence does not solve the problem instead it only causes more harm and more lives are lost. "Also remeber if u sow evil then u shall reap evil" u cant avoid that!!!! I am pleading on behalf of those who have lost some one dear to them due to clashes by various groups on campus....Pls take a moment and ask ur self is this what i really want?....Why am i doing this?........how can i make a positive change?......May God bless you all | ||

There's alot more to life than violence, i think you all just need a re-education, or should i say reorientation. and i'm refering to all frat men. Anyway Greetings to you all, be u an axeman, marphite, buka, airlord, kk, vikky and nuff respect to all the other frats that i didn't mention, i am a world airlord from the great oluyole . i'm currently resident in england, and i stumbled across this forum this morning, and to be honest i'm impressed with most of what i've read. i think we all need to come together to make confraternities a positive force in the society. we all know that the situation in Nigeria is depreciating by the minute, and we the educated and proven rugged ones that are supposed to fight for the rights of the masses are foolishly fighting amongst ourselves. Like rugged outlaw dawgg said confraternities in the civilised world are a force to reckon with, why can't we in Nigeria emulate such behaviour? We really need to get our priorities right, all those rugged men from the different frats whose lives were so foolishly cut short due to our inability to comprehend what is right from what is so terribly wrong, i'm sure you'll all agree that it was not worth the fuss. Guys, you are all highly rugged, lets test our wits like real men, lets stop the violence and start the reconstruction of all the confraternities. from there we can make Nigeria a better and greater nation than any of us can imagine. | ||

well i think the whole problm come from we that has lead the pc one time or the other . Weneed to come together and work out ways oto educate those that are killing others not becose of confats but for selfish ends . if looking back at the history of the groups, why they come together and so no the you ewill now which ofit has a good direction . but my mind is that most of the problms come from the laze ones in school and the low meantality ones .The P:C must do more on the issue. | ||
