I think that you might be mistaken. With the English Languge one word can mean more than one thing. like the word bad, it means bad and it can mean good. " Man that jacket is BAD". To a satan worshiper satan is there god and they refuse to worship GOD. you migh not agree, but that is what make America great. we can disagree and not die | ||

ruger71.. Ah but you will die and who is it you want to see, God or Satan? THere is no third or forth choices. Satan will not share his power with you, kind of greedy I hear. And since he wanted to destroy mankind from the beginning I guess he probably still feels that way. But maybe in some cases he will be impressed with man and his ability to cause hatred and evil. The lord of the flies is so happy that so many worship him but he knows he is doomed but there is still the question of the number he takes with him. | ||

Folks, This sounds like a Traditional Satanist that is being referenced. They do see Satan/and/or Lucifer as a real deity, but tend to be polytheists. As for Modern Satanists, we are mostly Atheists or agnostic. There is also a movement of people who hate God, but they are refered to as Maltheists. They are not usually Satanists, having the same feelings towards Satan as they do God. | ||

Glory to Allah, What I am saying is that Modern Satanists DO NOT worship a "Satan" figure. And, Traditional Satanists, for the most part, DO NOT view Satan in the role of evil monster that Islam and Christianity portray that character as, they have a different view of the whole thing. You are placing your understanding of the Satan/God relationship as the standard for everyone, even though you should realize that not everyone shares that view, specifically Traditional Satanists. So, from your perspective, they are foolish, but from THEIR perspective, you might be barking up the wrong tree. You are trying to make a statement about another religion's understanding of the world based on your understanding of certain characters without even understanding how that religion views those characters specifically. Think about this for a second. How would you like someone who never learned a thing about Islam making a bunch of unifmormed and obviously biased statements about Islam, proclaiming it to be foolish, that the Muslims worship a foreign god, etc, using their lack of understanding of how Muslims view Islam, and Allah/God? You'd probably be less than pleased. Now, take a look at what you are doing. You are using your understanding of Satan/Iblis as a literal being of monolithic evil, as the standard to which you understand how theistic Satanists look upon Satan/and/or Lucifer. Now, without understanding or probably even caring as to how they personally view such an entity, you just post all about how stupid you think they are. Why do you speak of things you do not know? You assume that Theistic/Traditional Satanists share your views of Satan/Iblis, yet you are mistaken. | ||

Its mostly on the Satanism, Conversation 2 board. If you sincerely wish to learn about what I believe, before ranting about something you are clueless about, then take the extra time and initiative to look up the information yourself. Once you have done so, then feel fre to ask me any question pretainning to the subject of Satanism that you like. Thanks. That's classic conspiracy theory all the way. The number 666 and Phi...oh boy. But, the acutal number of the Beast is now supposedly 616. It was in a few news articles a while back. They had it on Beliefnet. Personally, not sure on that, the concept of an after life is nice to think about, but I wouldn't put to much faith into it, rather, rely on making the best of what I have in the here and now. |
