Suzanna, I can't take the scrolling back and forth. It bothers my eyes and causes ...well, never mind, its not important, I just can't do it.

I do not trust the IAGM either. I have however, left the door ajar a bit. Just in case it can be safely opened. I have enjoyed talking to John Collins and Skip Wood alot. That is what has made me decide to leave the door open a bit. Also, it was simple obedience to God to write a letter to Lewis. I knew I couldn't/wouldn't let it go until I did. It was the right thing to do whether it gets the desired results or not.

I think you were right in doing what you did, we all have to obey God even if it seems strange to others, and I agree about giving them a benefit of a doubt even if it is a tiny one. I just have a problem with people thinking that they are doing such an awesome job and that we should just leave them alone or go to them in private. That is, as has been pointed out many times, the reason why GG thrived for so many years. The irony is that the same people who would have us be quiet, don't mind that these same men have spoken about others in public, such as right from the pulpit etc. It's kind of strange logic, don't you think?
I also don't think that we should have one standard for IAGM and another for other ministries. Either they are pure, or they aren't. There really isn't a grey zone for exiting GG pastors who don't want to go and get another job. The same high standards that apply to the rest of the Christian community should also apply to these guys. If they don't, then IAGM is just another cult.

I am reposting this from another thread cause I think it says a LOT about where we should go from here...not in anyone's pocket... :-)
p.s. love you john collins....me and my "shit-eating grin"

"However, you must be aware that many of things which you have been taught in the past by very good and even deeply spiritual people were teaching that Satan had to do with. Remember at this point that Satan's greater work in teaching is not to teach against God or to teach untruth. His purpose is the same today as it was in the Garden of Eden: to quote what God has said and by what he says state God's intention, but by devious and deceiving powers slightly twist and turn God's meaning. So much of the truth which we have learned from the past borders on this sort of satanic teaching. This should be realized, for Satan will intersperse with his evil knowledge both good knowledge and scriptures(tree of knowlege). In fact, I know of nothing Satan will teach an earnest believer without scriptural backing. In all that Satan teaches and does, he ignores the Christ who has supplanted, displaced, and destroyed his works, and who will in time destroy Satan himself. Therefore, Satan will teach a believer or even allow believers to be taught by godly people any truth so long as that truth is not solely Christ as the ONLY life of the believer (i.e., not church, missions, doctrines, religiosity, etc...). Because of this,DO NOT HESITATE TO SET ASIDE ANY AND ALL TEACHINGS OF MAN, GOOD OR BAD, THAT THE HOLY SPIRIT MAY NOW LAY FOR YOU THE FOUNDATION WHICH IS GOD'S ULTIMATE INTENTION. You were chosen before the foundation of the world to be IN Christ and you should allow nothing that is IN this world or is created by God FOR this world to hinder you from being who you are-IN Christ Jesus."

The Seven Crises of the Christ Life
by Warren Litzman

That is my thought on this whole IAGM thingy. Things that are good by sight (tree of knowledge) are still evil. It's time for people to receive revelation through Wisdom of the Holy Spirit. It's time to see Christ as our only life...and all that I do, I do as Him. No, that's not self-righteousness, it's fact. Paul the apostle spoke about all of those things. He had the best handle of what "Christ in you" meant becasue he recieved that revelation directly from God through the HOly Spirit. He did not walk with Jesus of Nazareth...he did not have to overcome misconceptions about going from walking with God to being inhabited by Him. His spirit bore witness because he lived in unity (as one) with the Spirit of God. This is where I stand. I am asking questions...and the only one giving me LIFE is the Truth that is in me. That is my foundation...it is real. The rest of what we can see is not. It's just a mere material thing that will be used to press me into seeing God in it all. I AM going to be Christ to this sick and dying world. My choice is fixed. Anyone who has said that I have to 'try' to be like Jesus by going to church, outreach, giving my tithes, by works, or any human effort can no longer be depended upon. That sort of teaching is no longer acceptable to my spiritual growth. I know the deception of religion (or no-denominationalism) and the painfulness of not being who I am in Christ....only the Holy Spirit can help me now. Romans 16:25, Galatians 1:11-12.

Great post Dina. Satan's deadliest mixture is a bunch of slightly twisted truth with some lies mixed in. Satan does disguise himself as an angel of light. GGWO itself has just this kind of mixture. Scary. They had me thinking they were some evangelical, born again, on fire church ministry for over a year. I heard a few suspect doctrines like most other churches. Heck, nobody's perfect. Then I saw more and more of the falsehood, hypocrisy and manipulation of people. By that time I had invested heavily in some teens at my GGWO youth group. For their sakes, I stayed a few more years to expose the false teachings to them and protect them until I was betrayed by another adult friend that GGWO had brainwashed. Now most of us are gone from there and moving on. Thank God. GGWO is a deadly brew of twisted truth and lies mixed in. Carl Stevens did the best con job of disguising a cult as an on fire born again church that I've ever seen. But he's been found out and the news is all over the Internet. Thank God. At least some will be spared the misuse and abuse of being GGWO members now. As far as the IAGM goes, avoid it like the plague until the pastors within humble themselves, take some time off, and seek outside help in unlearning the false teachings and cultic ways of Carl Stevens. Keep seeking the Holy Spirit. That's the way to find real truth!! No man is perfect. Beware of those that think they are. God bless.

I have to expose my ignorance: I don't know how to post on the 'discuss GGWO site', so: I'll put my 2 cents here:

IAGM (International Grace Ministries, ie...old socks) wrote the following paragraph in their letter to their 'members'.

"The amount we proposed (for the members to give) was 5%. We would also write a letter to the donors introducing Dr. (DOCTOR?, PHD?,MD?,IAMG?,GMIG?) Lewis as the new administrator and informing them of this fee. The goal will be to ask the donors to consider adding the 5% to their missionšs giving. We would also communicate this decision (to) the missionaries and ask them to inform us of any hardship or concern produced by it. Our goal will be to communicate to member churches to help in the event of any hardship placed on anyone. We understand that this fee may be a particular challenge to some. Again, we ask that you communicate any hardship caused by this to Dr. Lewis or myself."

OMG!...come one, come all to the 5% club, where you can feed the animals out of your own hand!!

These guys are using the same tactics as 'wig-boy' and his LTM did...who, by the way, are the same men! who are writing this letter to their 'members'!!!

That's it for me.

Goodbye & Good Luck...May you get at least 5%!
Isabella

It was pretty sickening to see MR twisted Wisot listed on the IAGM site after IAGM sent all of us in Delaware a 2 page questionaire, acting a a private mediator with no affiliation to Jeff Wisot...sickening yet interesting at the same time.

Oh BTW Mr Wisot..How was your VBS
