I just want to say thank you... I am fifth generation of "The Truth". My family professed through George Walker and some of the other founders. I have been an ex for about 10 years now (I am 30)and recently started researching the origins of the truth. Just this week I discovered these websites and it is hard to believe that the real truth was in front of me the whole time. I always questioned the methods and beliefs of the truth, even as a small child. Mostly, I just feel anger now. Ironically, my parents and other family members are at Fosters Convention right now. I could write 50 pages about this, but will wait to calm down. Again, I am so thankful that others feel the same way and it is comforting to read your stories. I still believe that Jesus is the true way.

I feel your pain. We were born into a certain professing mindset-outward appearances, form of the fellowship/ministry and some dos and don'ts!

It wasn't our fault. But we often grew up blaming ourselves for everything that happened in our lives. I know many of the professing people have good memories of the "truth" that they will cherish forever. So be it.

God will lead us if we allow Him to do so. Praise be to Him.

I wished all present and former professing members (plus anyone who has any knowledge of the nameless sect) KNEW THE REAL history of this fellowship!!

As long as the professing people get together in meetings and recite how thankful they are for this "true way", the problems in the fellowship will continue.

The "truth" is NOT a PERFECT WAY! It doesn't trace back to Jesus but traces back to Irish workers circa 1897! Certain head workers have been condescending and nosey abusing power forcing heavy handed rules down people's throats. Truth isn't the ONLY true fellowship. ALL other churches aren't of the devil! The dress code on professing women is baloney-nothing scriptural. It is OK to question a worker and disobey him/her if they aren't in line with the scripture. Meetings don't have to be held in a home and people can be saved without ever hearing the workers preach. You don't have to attend meetings to be saved. It is Ok to marry unprofessing people! Workers aren't supposed to be involved in personal and private choices!

It is a crying shame that the professing people have allowed certain head workers to become authoritarian and heavy handed. Don't live in fear and guilt. Don't let a relgious system claiming to be the only true church effect your thinking. Don't let the workers tell you that it is wrong to reason and figure things out without believing their terms, one-liners, cliches and other jargon.

Don't feel better than unprofessing people or inferior to the workers! Don't get hung up on the fitting in and filling your place stuff. Get a life. Don't let a religion take the place of GOD!! Don't worship the workers!

I joined from the outside with some friends when we were in high school. We were first generation believers. I left (got kicked out once) after 10 years (the last five of which attending meetings on and off).

My friends (all seven of them) are still there. I simply could not take the nitpicking over stupid nonsensical minor points. I wasn't raised with a need to try to fit in anywhere. I mean, society has certain norms, such as wearing a suit to a wedding, black clothes for a funeral, etc. But where does it say you can't wear shorts when you cut the grass in your backyard when it is 90 friggin' degrees outside?! Jeez, if I'm gonna go to hell for that, I might as well go to hell for something a little more fun like drinking a sixpack and fornicating.

So I left. I missed my friends, but got new ones (gee, but you can't get new parents or siblings, can you; the biggest tragedy I saw was the arbitrary breaking up of entire families over stupid rules like women wearing make-up). I lived in the world and enjoyed it, but with the nagging fear that I was probably not saved (or I would have returned). I figured I would get "right with the Lord" at some point (hopefully before I die!). It took about eight years of thought, reason and studying to clear my heart and mind of such nonsense.

It CERTAINLY IS Christianly to have anger after being lied to for a lifetime! No LIARS have the respect of Christians! The workers are LIARS. Any who know the truth about the founder of this way and turn the other way or perpetuate the LIES are LIARS and DO NOT deserve Christians' respect. Any who know of the INCONSISTENCIES of this group and pretend otherwise are LIARS. Any who know of the sexual abuse in this group and turn their backs are LIARS. Any who know of the homosexuality among the workers (male and female) and pretend it doesn't exist are LIARS. Any who pretend there is no financial corruption in this group are LIARS. LIARS ABOUND IN THIS GROUP.

Christians are able to DISCERN - and to JUDGE what is correct and good and that which is EVIL.

The LIES of the workers cause the followers to live lives of LIES, LIES and more LIES! LIES to attempt to cover up more LIES. It is a vicious circle of lifetimes of LIES.

1 Corinthians 2:15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. (Christians have EVERY RIGHT to judge whether what is taught is truth or LIES.)

Christians ARE ABLE to JUDGE that LIARS are not Godly.

Titus1:16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.

But, praise Jesus, HE heals!

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (Me - Jesus - NOT workers - NOT meetings, NOT conventions - JESUS!)

JESUS IS THE WAY.

John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

John 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

FREE FREE FREE FREE in Christ!

I became free 4-02-04 after being a third generation 2x2. IM ANGRY that I have been mentally f**ked up for fifty years..including everyone in my family. There has been suicides because they could not live up to the standards of this cult. I have worried about death and dying forever because I was doomed to hell....I could write pages of what I know and the mental spiritural abuse I took off my Mother who still is in this damnating cult. These workers will pay in hell for the LIES they taught. I am so pissed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BUT OHHHHHHH SO FREEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Vicky is not drunk at all!!!. She is only expressing her anger after being misled for so long. It is her right you know!!!

I was third generation professing and through the mercy of Jesus Christ is now finally also free for nearly 3 years!!!. Unfortunately I went through the same anger and many other things which I cannot mention here. Fortunately the Lord heals and gives you the strength to forgive and forget! The scripture is so clear on what we should profess and let me tell you is totally different to what is taught/preached by workers in different countries.

If you look at the posting board I have launched a question "What exactly do these people profess ?. I am surprised to see that this important question does not attrack any response.

Might be deliberate as professing people are affraid to expose there limited knowledge. They are so used to be secretive and seems to be God's secret agents e.g. every country's secret services. I thought it a very important discussion as many others may hear the truth as taught by Jesus himself and not workers throught the many scriptures in the Bible. They might then be able to for the first time analyse what they were taught versus what the Buble teaches and make a decision for themselves.

Looking forward if people would discover the topic and exchange views on this most important question as what you profess will determine your eternal destination and live. Nothing else !!! Not the good works the workers preach or anything else.

Vicky - My sincere prayer for you is that you will find peace of mind, forgiveness for these people and that you may find the courage to bless them in the name of our living Saviour!!!

God Bless!.

This is Vicki....the bitter one a couple of months ago and some time has come between my anger.

Yes the peace of mind that I have prayed for is in my heart, of course I forgive everyone. The choices are mine to make and I feel that I have found a church that teaches a true doctrine, but I still question and read, study and pray ALOT!!

I still love my family, and I feel they really belive they are doing what is right in the 2x2 church. I know that when I pray I am being heard, maybe my answers don't come immediatly, but GOD has a purpose for everything. Unfortunatly we are given free-will, but GOD wants us to want him and for that free-will is our own worst enemy. I try to make good choices, but I am human and work every second of everyday to live like Christ would want me to live. I a so thankful for the gift of grace because without that, life would not be worth living as we would have no future. Without hope we are lost souls.
