Going through some of the other Factnet topics I discovered "The Church of Bible Understanding." After reading some of the posts it seem this outfit was almost "exactly" like the foundation. The "pastor" seems identical to tony. The oufit started (albeit on the east coast) about the same time as the foundation. I will betcha the doctrine could be close to the same thing also. Check out these photos (70's) of the folks of the Church of Bible Understanding. http://cobu.org/big_meeting.jpg http://cobu.org/big_meeting_2.jpg http://cobu.org/big_meeting_3.jpg They almost look like foundation photos. At least in my opinion. A link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Church_of_Bible_Understanding and the damage: http://www.rickross.com/reference/understanding/understanding2.html http://www.rickross.com/reference/understanding/understanding1.html You see, there were many "foundations" all over the country. I believe they were all doing the same thing. I just want the folks still living at the alamo place to look this over and read all the links. The foundation is not unique. There are places like that across the country (and in the world). You really need to line up what the Bible says and what the alamo outfit stands for at this present time. The actions that are going on there (alamo outfit) aren't scriptual are they? Make an intelligent choice to leave the outfit. You are going to have to leave sooner or later. Might as well do it now. I am sure you understand. |

Your welcome, Here is something else someone wrote on factnet. I think it can also be applied to the current foundation folks: "If we say "Get out of the river; you're headed toward a waterfall!" and you reply "But I'm paddling upstream!" and we say "But you're not going fast enough" and you say "Don't worry!" then you will die. To remain in the downstream of ntcc (or alamo foundation) has but one end result. People are harmed in that place. Tell me: what is at risk if it fails? What is harmed if no one ever attends there again? People will simply find something to do that is less damaging to their lives." ****I think the above really does have some wisdom to it. People at the alamo outfit are heading for the water fall. I believe there are plenty there that understand if they stay destruction will come. However there is a network here that are willing to help. No, it is not too late and the time to leave the place is now. You will not regret it I assure you. Thanks for the links Heynow I can’t help reflecting on this very telling post, which I have reposted below that was made by Erik Ondrisek nearly two years ago. The bold underscored red highlighting is mine. For to me, this is the crux of the matter, not only at ‘ta’s place’ but likewise at every other cultic group out there, as the evidence continues to surface that there are so many more of these groups than we can count. They’ve given up everything including their children to a warped way of life because they refuse to accept that they’ve been hood-winked by unscrupulous predators who have driven their hooks in so deeply to sap EVERYTHING earthly possible from them. These predators have the tenacity to patiently worm their way into a place of deep trust and confidence with these naďve ‘converts’; little by little these predators usurp the Lord’s place within the group until it gradually morphs into a rock-solid cult. Ultimately, what more than deceitful pride warned against in scripture is satan’s chief tool to keep them trapped in their vile bondage to pseudo-christianity? false_prophet_detecter (false_prophet_detecter) Intermediate Member Username: false_prophet_detecter Post Number: 135 Registered: 10-2005 Posted From: 67.185.117.145 Posted on Tuesday, December 13, 2005 - 2:29 am: ________________________________________ HE WILL BE SOON ENOUGH. what a sick FHUK!!! its really cool that he has parkinsons disease, that he has practically no eyesight, hes fat, ugly, eyes way too close together, and hes like 666 years old,yea he cant have much time left. the only thing is that he keeps sucking energy from all his followers. have you seen them lately, my mom use to be absolutely beautiful when she was younger. now she looks like an unhappy old hag i wonder where her energy went. too bad she gave her daughters to the devil. i think that if every one walked away from ta he would just crumble into dust. hes like a vampire that sucks people dry. everyone in that gawdam cult could use a good smack on the head. the lie that they defend so persistently is simply that they're better than other people no one is better than anyone else. some just have more energy and understanding merry christmas to all (excluding all child molesters and wasters of energy) …cp |

I think you got something there CP and Eric. Yes they do believe they are better (chosen, elect, etc.) but, no there many people outside the outfit that are just as good or probably better. They must cling to this notion or the whole concept is worthless. This reminds me of a question I ask foundationists (foundation supporters or current members). Goes something like this: "I realize there are blessings in Heaven for serving God." "I also believe the Bible says we will be blessed with spritual blessing and blessings on this earth." "Now you are telling me I will recieve spiritual blessings and blessings in heaven for serving God at the foundation." "My question is; What blessings on this earth will I receive for serving God at the foundation?" *****Of course they have no answer. |

Foundation members should realize that they are basically homeless, penneyless. Alamo owns everything, and perhaps even them. He has done what he will with their chilren and their spouses, let people take care of their own famillies already. Wake up and smell the coffee, I like Hills Brothers myself. I love {along with my Jesus} being in charge of my life. There is indeed great liberty in Christ, Amen. |

CP, I thank you also Stealing energy!!Tony Alamo fasts people; Has people up all hours of the night to pray for his sick soul. There is nothing in that place for anybody. I remember when I stopped fasting for anyone but me! And, that felt SOOO good. Anyone ever break a fast and receive enlightenment? |

I got the baptism after a 3 day fast. I fasted to quit smoking and that worked. Now days I fast a meal now and then and I get strength from that. Puns aside, fasting works. Shimoni should have tried it years ago. |
