Thing is, as I see it, an overview of Floridians' postings go something like this, After so much fuss, and after so many incendiary remarks against most posters here on the forum, alongside of an apparent agreement of Tony Alamos' not guilty pleas, Floridian does seem to kind of forget all this and tags along with others like a good ole buddy, ole pal for awhile in conversation like everything is alright, and it is back in the day. Delusional. Well back in the day, is in the past, although we do have some fond memories of the light of our fellowship in spite of the gloom that surrounded us all. But part of the ex member collective inspiration that is current, is that, thanks be to God, we now recognize that Master of gloom, Tony Alamo for what he really is, an all out ogre, and use that freedom and knowledge we possess to dutifully point it out to all others by singing it out on the rooftops, pure and simple, to warn in love. So Floridian, if you are not with us, you are against us, so why then, would you want to even keep corresponding here? You have made yourself perfectly clear. Maybe it is best for you now to find a captive audience to list your daily brownie points of all whom you have prayed thru, to whoever you prayed them thru to, and to where ever, you may have led them to. Your rhetoric is far from winning friends and influencing people here. There is a mocking insincerity at how you direct many of your replies to others here, which is why you are distancing yourself from others little bit, by little bit more every day. True fellowship is therapeutic, rest, peaceful. As ex members we understand it, and indeed shared in it even while locked up in the Tony and Sue chamber, because even there, the Salvation rises above, which was ultimately our release, the truth. It is about a discipline(disciple) that can be learned and found, like about your mate which you know better than any one else, that has that one flaw that disturbs them the most, maybe that mole or scar on their nose. You must guard that privileged information and power. Well, you never go there, if you want to be happy and entrusted for the rest of your life. No matter how intense the argument or disagreement, you keep under your body, and never, ever go there. That flaw(offense) does not exist, you never see it, therefore edification reigns supreme forever. This, Tony and Sue did not teach, rather, they taught that the individual soul is easily expendible,... but the Lord teaches otherwise. I remember, not too long ago, a TA minion got on here and referred to many of us as back slapping 'sponge bobs' because of a lot of our support and edification of one another, in spite of some of our varied differences and opinions we now are. That poster obviously had trouble comprehending that it was the transcending wonderment of that born again experience that we had shared in unison, and not the blight that the foundation has developed into, as our common ground, though we bare our souls to those facts as well, and tell it like it is. I take everything floridian says with a grain of salt. First because the Bible says "let another man praise thee and no thine own mouth." Yet floridian is continually on here boasting (alamo style) of his own good works and great soul winning exploits. I know him and have known him for many years. Most if not all of his soul winning exploits are really cases of browbeating people and pestering them in hospital waiting rooms or elevators or other areas where they are a somewhat captive audience. They don't want to leave because they are waiting on a loved one or are waiting for treatment so after much brow beating just to get rid of him they go along with him and recite the sinners prayer. Anything to get rid of him. As I said I know floridian very well he has given out many clues to those of us who know him. One thing I can assure you of is that there is always always always two sides to every floridian story and a bystander or some of the others involved would tell a far different version than floridian. I can assure you of that. | ||

I guess I can go by my experience. By the grace of God through Jesus Christ I have been given the opportunity on occasion to win souls. No, I didn't browbeat them. The word spoken in the spirit is what convinces them. It is a glorious experience. When someone says they won a soul it really is a time to rejoice. Well, that's the way I feel about it and the scriptures will tell you this is really what the gospel is all about. Jesus died so we could live. Maybe all the posters should post your soul winning encounters. This would be truly edifying. We were all won by somebody being used by God. I am sure we can all agree on that. Can't we? All these letters from people who are thanking Tony Alamo for them finding God,and bringing Christ into their lives, still does not change the facts that Tony Alamo ordered many CHILDREN to be beaten with a board.... Some were beaten so badly they were bleeding. (I know because it happened to my brother) There were times I was beaten so badly It would take me a minute (literally a minute) or more to sit down, and every time I would move, the pain would travel though my body. I would be black and blue on my butt for weeks at a time. I remember one time I was hit, I believe it was 40 times, it may have been 70 with a board for holding my breathe in class and I passed out in the class room. Luckily,when I fell backwards (unconscious) my head hit a pile of books that were on the floor next to my desk, otherwise my head would have probably split open from hitting the tile.....It was a stupid trick I know, but I had just figured out by dong this you could make yourself dizzy, and was showing it to my classmates. I got BEATEN at Tony Alamos house for that. It may sound like a childish and foolish thing to do (holding your breathe to get dizzy) but at the time I was only a child. I believe I was 11 years old when this happened. . Did that really deserve to beaten with a 2x4? Holding your breathe in class.... Man what a horrible sin against God. Tony Alamo,You CAN NOT beat children and then just think that you can get away with it by quoting scriptures and calling people whores, homos, imps, devils, back-sliders, punks...etc....... I finally have built up enough courage to tell just part of my story and tell some of the stories of others I know who have been beaten or abused at the Alamo Foundation at the hands and orders of Tony Alamo. It doesn't matter how long ago these children were abused, and I am including myself....the fact is he , Tony Alamo ,still had children beaten, and some times these children were beaten to a bloody pulp. Larry and I did not get along at all at the time (this was not uncommon), so Tony offered to have me live with a family (Rodriguez Family) out in California. Before I knew it, I was living in Canoga Park and helping Evie, Gina, Terry (Anna D's Sister) with the jackets. Shortly thereafter, I started working as a tutor to some of the children. I worked with Anthony and Brandon, Tony B., and others. They were great kids!!! It was strange that I was tutoring them because I had not completed over 10th grade (the Georgia ridge raid). I did love to read though, and Lord knows there was a shortage of books around the church, so I read Algebra, English, and so on. I became self-educated as did many of the children in the church. Even on the ridge, we really didn't have a good school system in place. Remember guys, we would have school for four hours (just basic courses too -- everything else that encouraged our minds to think had been stripped from the curriculum), then we would go to work on the jackets. As I had stated, I lived with the Rodriguez family in California. Nikki worked in Tony A?s house with Ann. As a teenage girl, I idolized Nikki R. and she worked with the pastor. She seemed to be quite a strong woman. So I wanted to do what she did. I began working in Tony's House with Nikki and Ann. My first night working at Tony's house was hilarious!!!! I remember Tony was mad at Ann about something so silly. He worked himself into a frenzy and began calling her names, lesbian, •••••, etc. Okay... I had always looked at Tony as "papa Tony" as the others had. But I clearly was seeing a different side. I always knew he had a disciplinary (abusive) side because of the Spec House beatings (YES -- The beatings did happen!). I was raised to believe he was the only one in the world to get messages from God. This is when I began to doubt about that. In my logical mind, I was thinking: Ann is married with a kid. God seriously cannot be calling her a lesbian or a female dog. Not that I entirely knew what a lesbian was, but I knew it was horrid behavior strictly forbidden that was between two women. Well, the only other person in the room besides me would be him on most occasions when he would talk about these things. She knew how awful it was for me. I was dry heaving and couldn't sleep for days (found out lack of sleep was something I needed to become accustomed to later). The consummation didn't happen for a while, but I knew he would sooner or later force himself. That did happen, and at first it was awful. I would cry the whole time. But in time I learned a very valuable trick on "my nights" with Tony. I learned how to separate myself from myself. I would actually allow my mind to take me elsewhere during that time. That is why he went around telling people that sleeping with me was like sleeping with a corpse and that I didn't like sex so something was wrong with me. Tony was very careful when he took me for a wife. He didn't want the church to know because the idea of polygamy wasn't accepted by his following yet.
