Treasure Traders International is probably the largest “gemstone masked” pyramid fraud operating in Canada and the U.K. “Investors” (victims) who contributed a minimum of $1,200 were promised $9,600 gross within approximately 14 to 30days. Originally $2,600 (perhaps more today) of the $9,600 is to be forwarded to the Treasure Traders International as a fee for operating the fraud. But the organization “Crime Busters Now” alleges the few sucessful "Captain's" payout of $7000 was actually coming from their own 100% principal "investment" of $1200 plus money put up by other investors. A Mississauga couple invested over $10.000 in TTI and lost it all when, predicably their pyramid collapsed. Some victims were persuaded to obtain high interest loans on their credit cards with the assurance they would get returns of 500% in 14 to 30 days, according to information received by “Crime Busters Now” the non-profit organization formed to alert potential victims immediately, (Now) of any frauds and scams perpetrated in Canada or throughout the world. The perpetrators of this scheme target ethnic communities according to a member of Ottawa’s Somali Community. Citizens in these communities are financially unsophisticated and easy prey for these fraud artists. TTI uses the “credibility” of the seemingly willing RCMP, OPP, local police, Industry Canada, BBB, and other agencies allowing their names to be used to endorse and promote this fraud along with promises of the democratic dream of “Financial Freedom” to lure “investors" (their victims) this, said the president of Crime Buster Now. In the U.S. the head of enforcement for the SEC in Boston investigating and prosecuting these frauds was quoted as saying. "We will seek to hold them accountable for their conduct” unlike their counterpart Michael Shibley of Industry Canada who has refused to even warn highschool, college and university students who are being ripped off for thousands and who’s morals are being corrupted by this illegal activity. Crime Busters Now is a non-profit organization who’s mission is to inform citizens NOW of scams and frauds permeating their communities. UK has served a petition on TTI ...Basically...they are challenging THE LEGALITY of TTI's Tradings!......TTI can't trade in the UK until the investigation has concluded....and ,trust me...If the Department Of Trade & Industry investigate you...then you've had it!....I'd advise any Canadians......CASH IN THOSE CERTIFICATES!...DEMAND REFUNDS!!...Because..when the UK close down TTI....you can bet Canada will follow suit!! | ||

Michael Shibley of Industry Canad is determined that pyramid fraud is going to continue in this country as he steadfastly, belligerently and contemptuously refuses to enforce the law against product based pyramid fraud until all the people at the top have their pockets full, the damage is done, and those that can lest afford it at the bottom are finally scammed. Students, seniors, ethnic groups, single parents, the financial desperate, and the financially unsophisticated. The laws regarding illegal pyramid profit from ”downline” recruitment vis a vis profit from product selling is as clear in Canada Law as it is the U.K. This bureaucrat Michael Shibley responsible for thousands of citizens needlessly losing millions must be removed from one of the most important positions in government. In short he should be fired. From the UK....... “The Secretary of State for Trade and Industry has presented a petition in the High Court to wind up Treasure Traders Corporation Ltd in the public interest. The company operated a 'Pirate Ship' themed pyramid selling scheme. Investors paid £1,200 to sign up and were told to recruit further members of a ship 'crew'. They would move up to the position of 'captain' depending on how many recruits they could enrol. Once the 'ship' had a full crew of eight members they were told to 'sail the high seas searching for gold' by taking a profit share of further investments.
