Coercive Thought Reform and Thought Control
Coercive thought control or thought reform can and does come in many forms, from the one-on-one abusive relationship to a fanatical mass movement. The long-term mental effects on victims is still being studied. Some excellent sites for those interested in pursuing the subject are:
- The International Cultic Studies Association (ICSA) has a site regarding cults and psychological manipulation and recovery at <http://www.csj.org/>.
- Steve Hassan, author of the best-seller "Combatting Cult Mind Control," has a page at <http://www.freedomofmind.com/>.
- The Ex-Cult Archive at <http://www.ex-cult.org/> has resources, links, basic information on several cults and working criteria to understand the cult phenomenon.
- Also see index.html for how Scientology control methods are disguised and embedded in training methods required of all who would follow it.
