Evidence presented of Scientology tactics in the GoTo pay-per-click search engine that is affiliated to, and effects the search results within, America Online (AOL), Lycos, AltaVista, HotBot, Netscape, Microsoft Internet Explorer, Ask Jeeves, CompuServe, EarthLink and many more search engines.

We believe these tactics display evidence of censorship and have universal implications regarding free trade on the internet.

The proof we submit is that they are moving prices simultaneously on a broad range of Scientology websites. We believe that this is centrally co-ordinated. We also believe that they are doing this to block out the top six positions of web search engine results. (They originally tried to block the top 3 positions which affected the "Premium" listing in GoTo and its affiliates. It would appear that the recent technique of blocking the top 6 positions ensures them control over the first page of search results in the "Classic" listings.)
